We offer GPS-enabled multilingual audio guidance, available in English, Chinese and Korean.
Please note that a Japanese-speaking guide will accompany the tour and you will be sharing the ride with Japanese tourists.

The boarding ticket you receive also serves as an entry pass for major sightseeing locations. Please keep it safe until the end of the tour, as lost tickets cannot be reissued. Boarding tickets can be exchanged starting from three days prior to your boarding date.
Please make your own way to the bus terminal. The bus will depart on time, and late arrivals will not be permitted to join the tour with no exceptions (no refunds will be issued.)
Please arrive at least 20 minutes prior to departure time for prompt boarding .
At each sightseeing spot, the guide will display the return time before departure for the next stop. Please be sure to confirm it and return to the bus on time. If you do not follow the instructions, the bus will depart for the next destination without waiting.
Infants and toddlers (0-5 years) can join free of charge if they sit on a guardian's lap and do not occupy a seat.
In April, the departure time will be 5:40 PM.

Good parts: nice ambience, lovely Maiko, pleasant night hilltop view. Poor parts: Audio guide given but the live guide didnt really care whether or not we understood anything. Also although it was wonderful to view the Maiko's performance, no summary was given in English. I wouldn't go again with this company.

Just to be aware that this tour is in Japanese mostly. About 20% is in English unlike advertised. The Maiko performance is beautiful. Dinner is average. Overall very overpriced is least impressive of my experiences in Kyoto. Best to see Maiko performance somewhere else.

Nice bus ride to the dinner and Maiko show. Bus was full. Classic Japanese food and great service. Maiko took pictures with all the guests. After dinner, walking through a classic Japanese garden. Very nice. Great photos. Extra trip to a beautiful Mountain View location to see the city at night atop the mountain.

Great show and food miserable but tour

The food and show was great, however I was the only non Japanese person. Japanese had a real guide which I could hear all the time while I got earphones with very bad sound quality sometimes playing 2 sound channels at the same time. The bus Tour was miserable but the mako and food still worth it I guess.

Unforgettable enchantment, from start to finish

I was looking for a maiko performance and saw this listing, which also included dinner. What I didn’t expect was that we would experience more than that. The tour group wasn’t too big. There were about 20 people or less, so the bus wasn’t too crowded. First, there was a bus tour that provided interesting information about Kyoto. Each passenger had an individual audio for their own language. The audio was synchronized according to the locations we passed by. Then we had a kaiseki dinner - a multi course dinner including an explanation of what kaiseki dinners are about. Then we watched a maiko performance by Fukumiyo-San, who had trained for a year at the time. I have seen other maiko perform and in my humble opinion, Fukumiyo-san performed the best among the maiko we have seen. Her movements seemed more precise to my layman eyes. After her performance, we got to ask her questions. Everyone had more than enough time to ask questions such as why she chose to become a maiko, or what part of her art does she like best, challenges, etc. Then we all got a chance to take a photo with Fukumiyo-San. When we took our photo, a camera blocked a part of the view and I just shrugged it off, but the host noticed it and invited us to take another set of photos. Excellent service! Next, we had a chance to go to the garden next to the dinner. I didn’t expect much but I was surprised at its beauty. It was the most beautiful garden we saw on this trip, even including gardens at famous temples. There was another short bus trip and we went to a vista overlooking the Kyoto nightscape.

Waste of time. Japan amazed me, but this tour is disappointing. Do not recommend.

This is the worst Viator tour I have joined. The dinner was not a Kaiseki, it's more like bento box food put into small plates. I like Bento boxes. But this one tastes worse than any of the restaurants/food court food I had in Japan. The bus driver was not considerate. He refused to let visitors get on the bus until the last minute, regardless it was hot outside on the platform. The audio guide didn't give much information. The Japanese tour guide on the bus talked a lot on the way, but apparently her messages were not translated/recorded in the audio guide. After dinner we were kind of forced to visit a gift shop for 30 minutes because there was nothing else to do and we couldn't leave the resort without a car. The night view was in a hill too far from the city of Kyoto and very blurry. The only highlight was taking pictures with the Maiko. But I watched another Maiko dance in Gion Corner which was of higher quality. Not worthy the price. Plus you can buy tickets at 2/3 of the price at Kyoto tourist bus station where you start the tour. Even with the 2/3 price, there are better things to do in Kyoto.
