Wonderful day tour and excellent guide!

You won't be sorry choosing this tour!! We had an excellent day touring Kyoto with Hiro! He was very helpful and communicative in setting up the itinerary for our day, listening to what we were interested in and giving guidance. Even the day of the tour he was flexible in locations and timing, and helped us chose a restaurant with the foods we wanted to try for lunch. He will travel at your pace. He is very knowledgeable about the area, history and culture which enriched our experience greatly. Hiro answered all questions we had to help us understand the area better. I highly recommend this tour with Hiro. He even took photos and sent them to us! We couldn't be happier with our day!

What an incredible experience this was! I highly recommend anyone traveling to Kyoto or nearby cities have a tour guide! Our guide took the stress away from my hands and had everything beautifully planned out for us. He was so knowledgable and gave us such good recommendations for the rest of our stay. 100% recommend a guide!!

I bought the tour, but could not get in touch with Hero Tours to set the pick-up place and time. He never responded to any of the multiple emails I sent. So, I got charged the money, but never got the tour or an apology. I have asked viator for a full refund. Do not recommend this company.

Best way to sightsee

In reading previous reviews, we booked a day with Hiro; but as luck would have it, he was unavailable for the only free day we had in Kyoto. He recommended his associate/friend Masa. And I'm so glad we stayed with Hiro's tour guided by Masa. Masa was kind, smart, amiable and amenable. We were a group of 8 and shopped a bit, and even though it cut into our sightseeing time, the things we bought were important too. Masa didn't pressure us not to shop...he was super helpful. We gave him a list of places we wanted to hit, and he coordinated the schedule. Getting around with a local was awesome and worry-free fir me, who usually navigates when we're on vacation. At the end of the tour, he took us to one of his favorite local spots for sushi...and it was fantastic eating like the locals. When we go back, because we will, we will hook up with Hiro and Masa again!!

Excellent Kyoto visit second time around

We had a great tour with Hero! We have been to Kyoto before for a brief visit and found navigation in the city confusing with public transportation. This time it was so much more memorable with Hero guiding the way and we saw so much more of the city and realized how much we missed, even at Kyoto Station. He is also helpful with making food recommendations in Osaka where we are staying. Not only is he a tour guide, he also helped us take photos and sent them to us! Thank you Hero for the wonderful day!
