Overview

Mount Ijen’s blue fire phenomenon—sulphuric gas resembling blue lava—is best seen from the mountain’s crater just before dawn. This private tour makes reaching the creator from Bali as easy as possible, departing from Kabupaten Badung and taking the midnight ferry to Java. On arrival, make the 1–2-hour hike to the crater to check out the blue fire around 4am. Visit Jagir Waterfall and stop for breakfast (own expense) before returning to Bali.

The trip was amazing and good arrangement but my sole goal was to see the blue flames couldn’t because of the crowds I felt sorry but had a good view of the mountain lake and sunrise everyone tried their best from the organizers Thanks

Once in a lifetime experience

Transport to and from the volcano was super comfy and well air-conditioned. With Hamid's expert guidance, we began hiking just before 2am and we were amongst the first to see the blue fire at the crater of the volcano. Many missed out because they simply started the hike too late and the blue fire is only visible at night. We made it to the back to the top of the crater for a breathtaking sunrise. Hamid showed us the best photo spots and went the extra mile to get us great videos and pictures. We were provided with some delicious, hot coffee which the experience even more surreal. The hike to the crater, back up and down the hill were tough for one of our party, but Hamid really helped by holding their hand at difficult times. We will never forget this incredible experience and we're so grateful to Hamid and the team for making it as easy and seamless as it could be 🙏

It was a tough experience and a long trip but unbelievable and unforgettable! It’s a must do! Our tour guide has been great with us, we just regret the headlamps weren’t included and we had to rent some.
