Great day on the island with Anya and Wayan. Tips: pack a towel if you plan to swim at the beach, expect lots of walking, the roads in the island are very damaged so expect a very bumpy ride, do not recommend if you suffer from motion sickness.

Disappointing on a few factors.
Tour guide - nice gentleman - Naya, however, very quiet, only started to speak at the very end when we were dropped off, which was nice, showing an eventual interest in us, but after a long day and for the last 10minutes, a little too late. When we reached Nusa Penida, we were introduced to another driver, and Naya and my partner and I joined in his car for rest of the trip. (Sorry forgot his name) Naya stated only then, if you have any questions, please feel free to ask; normally tour guides would share historic information on these private tours, which helps probes questions, but if we didn’t ask, we didn’t get any info, so trip was very very quiet. Naya always stayed behind and the second driver would accompany us at each location to help take photos, which he did well. Naya stated it’s because this other driver is very familiar with each location and best pictures.
Food.
On booking very clear I am a vegetarian and partner no dietary restrictions.
Getting to restaurant menu lacked any vegetarian choice and when asked what is vegetarian waitress said the Vegetable Sandwich and Vegetable burger - I questioned her as it states it is chicken in the spiel underneath. She said, yes, vegetarian and I stated chicken is an animal thus not vegetarian. She said we can remove the chicken. Well I went for the vegetable sandwich and all I ended up with was two slices of bread with ketchup and a two slices of cucumber. NOT IMPRESSED (Seems Balinese, looking at other restaurants will class chicken as vegetarian, so be warned!). My partner complained on my behalf to Naya, and Naya went straight on phone to his office and then did offer to take to another restaurant but we declined as we were fed up as we already requested this in the booking and shouldn’t have to go to another restaurant. We asked after this to get next boat back to mainland, however that wasn’t until 2.30pm so we managed to see Crystal Bay the next and last stop anyway.
The roads are awful, not the tour operators fault.
It was expensive trip for very little outcome
Bad food, ignored dietary requirements.
Lack of personal private tour guide experience that we have always received from other operators on Viatour.

Thank you for your feedback. We sincerely apologize for what happened during the tour. After checking with the tour guide and driver regarding the incident during the tour, we can explain the following:
1. We apologize if our tour guide did not explain the attractions we visited in detail. We will provide guidance to prevent a recurrence. Once again, we sincerely apologize.
2. Regarding restaurants, Nusa Penida is a remote island and there are not many vegetarian options at restaurant. In the future, we will inform restaurants to offer a variety of vegetarian menus so that more choices.
3. Regarding roads, Nusa Penida is still under development, so access roads to tourist attractions are still being repaired, and repairs are being carried out gradually to avoid disrupting traffic flow. We hope the roads will be in good condition in the future.
Once again, we and the team sincerely apologize for what happened during the tour. We hope this does not discourage you from touring with us.

I gave this a four star because it rained really bad and we weren’t able to do Chrystal Beach. We also were not aware that there were long hilly Rocky muddy walking or we would have brought different shoes. Because this is the rainy season, we were prepared for the rain with ponchos, but not prepared for the terrain. Other than that, the guides were great and the scenery was beautiful!

Siman made our experience great! He helped navigate through crowds and made us feel like we were just along for the ride which was really nice. The beaches were beautiful and they accommodated for the rain and had umbrellas and everything which was helpful. Highly recommend Siman!

Overall the tour was okay, the sights were nice and the guide took many nice photos.
However for me personally I had a horrendous day.
The ride to the port was fine. The problems started on the boat - it was very cramped, very bumpy and had a strong horrible petrol smell throughout, unfortunately this caused me to vomit.
Furthermore the roads on the island are very bumpy and uneven, unfortunately this also exasperated my motion sickness.
Because of this I couldn’t eat or drink anything and ended up having a bad and tiring day.
Unfortunately there was no warning about bringing travel sickness tablets and as I had never felt sick on a boat before I didn’t bring any.
I would say if you bring medication you should be fine! Just something to bear in mind :)

All fast boats at Sanur Harbor are nearly identical, and the bumpiness was noticeable because we were at sea and pass the waves. We will explore alternative for find better fast boats for our guests comfort in future. Nusa Penida is a remote island, so the government is still developing road facilities to improve the public services. We hope the roads will improve in the future to ensure a comfortable journey for our guests. We apologize if you experienced seasickness. We have already explained in the description that this tour uses a fast boat and of course will cross the ocean to get to Nusa Penida. I highly recommend Arza and his friend (the other driver) for anyone visiting Nusa Penida, Bali. They were honestly the best tour drivers we could have asked for. From the very beginning, they were super attentive, kind, and always making sure we were comfortable and enjoying every stop.
They helped us with everything, were very punctual, drove safely, and had such a friendly and positive attitude the whole time. You can really tell they care about giving you the best experience possible.

My guide showed up 20 minutes early but I was ready. He spoke some basic English but my hopes for a tour with stories and history were non existent. As a solo traveller the cost of this tour was excessive for what I got.

Nusa Penida offers a different perspective on Bali life. A picturesque but very underdeveloped island with spectacular scenery and very little infrastructure. Our guides were attentive, knowledgeable, proud locals who took care of our every need all day. A lovely experience

This is such a fun tour! The fast boat to the island makes the journey very easy! Our guide Heri was exceptional ! He was very kind and caring to my husband who has health issues. Our driver was also wonderful and both of them made for a very nice day. We saw several beautiful beaches, fed monkeys and had a delicious lunch. There is even time for some local shopping!:)

I booked this tour based on the exceptional reviews and recommendations, and while the day had its highlights, I felt a few aspects could have been better managed.
Our driver, Naya, was lovely and took care of our pick-up and drop-off from our accommodation. However, the night before the tour, we were informed that we’d need to have a certain amount of cash ready for the transfer, even though the listing clearly states that round-trip hotel transfers are included in the price. It’s not a big issue in itself, but being upfront about any additional costs would help avoid confusion or inconvenience.
The island itself is stunning, Kelingking Beach, Broken Beach, Angel’s Billabong, and Crystal Bay all offer breathtaking views. That said, this particular tour felt more like a “see from afar” experience rather than a chance to really explore the beaches. We spent quite a bit of time on narrow, winding mountain roads for what mostly ended up being quick photo stops.
Our guide, Wayan, was kind and polite, and when asked questions he provided answers. However, I was hoping for a bit more initiative sharing stories, local history, or insights that would help bring the places to life. Perhaps it was a language barrier, but a more proactive approach would really enhance the experience.
At Crystal Bay, we had a nice hour to relax and sunbathe, but it would have been great if the guide could’ve helped us secure an umbrella or mentioned beforehand that cash would be needed for one. Small touches like that make a big difference, especially on a private tour.
Lastly, a note for future travelers, the boat rides between Sanur and Nusa Penida can be quite rough on windy days. The return trip was crowded and a bit uncomfortable, so anyone prone to motion sickness should be prepared.
Overall, both Naya and Wayan were genuine and kind, and I appreciated their efforts throughout the day. With clearer communication and a bit more guidance and attention to detail, this tour could easily go from good to great.

The trip was okay. We were able to visit all the places, however the trip was mismanaged.
We left at 6:30am (as per plan) assuming we will catch the fast boat around 7:45am, but we missed it for some reason which was not very clear from the driver/guide. We waited for an hour at port for the next fast boat.
The driver/guide has been kept on saying all throughout the day even on way back they engaged with the boat vendor for the first time hence the mess up.
Even during the trip he kept on mentioning for other stuff also the same (first time), hence he is helpless.
However, he helped taking some of the good pictures of ours at broken beach and Klingking.

Firstly my driver Wayan was early to pick me up and super friendly with good English. We drove to the Harbour first for the ferry crossing. This was a fun ride. The rest of the day was ok!! There was lots of driving involved to see some nice scenery and a beach. Am I glad I did it - yes! Would I book it again or recommend to a friend - No!

Simply amazing! Our tour guide Ayunk was a little earlier to pick us up and he was so polite and funny!! He even remember everyone's name!! He was taking care of us all the time and showing us everything! Like our body guard! At Nusa there was someone waiting for us and he took the best pictures ever!!

Adhi and Eno were superb driver-guides and made our trip very memorable and enjoyable. They went out of their way to ensure our comfort throughout the day. Eno took special care to take our pictures at all the scenic viewpoints. In spite of the bad roads, his driving was excellent and needs special mention.
The boat trip to Nusa Penida was in a public fast ferry where passengers were crammed together tightly and was the least enjoyable part of the whole trip
- however this was not under the control of the tour company.
Overall, highly recommended trip!

Please note this is a sightseeing tour. With that said, the views were unmatched! Spectacular scenery, you do walk a bit at each stop so wear shoes you can depend on. But so so so worth it. The guides Arya and Kutra were amazing. Very informative and kind. Kutra took photos of my friends and I and they were great! The tour ends at a swimmable beach which is perfect after being in the sun.

I booked this tour expecting a great time, but ended up pissed off at the end. We were picked up on time from the hotel by (Putu), he couldn’t speak English or just a few words. I was trying to ask questions, but he had no clue what I was saying. Now i am hoping the tour guide (Krisna) on the Penida island would be able to speak English. He couldn’t speak English either! They were basically taxi drivers. I t was a silent trip. I had no clue where we were going or what the history about the sites were, no information. I was excited to go down to the beach at the (dinosaur beach). The “tour guide” Krisna said said “no time, 30 minute down 30 minute up.” I tried to tell him I want to go down to the beach and he said “No sorry!” I was pissed now! We had lunch at a cafe and they struggled with English too. We we looking forward to at least getting to swim at Crystal Bay. That was a major dis appointment. The water was muddy looking and had about 2 foot waves crashing the beach. No crystal water to see! The beach was crowded and filthy. We were there a few minutes and left. We ended up back at the boat dock at 1:45 pm. This was not an all day trip! 5 hours max. Then we had to wait 1 hour and 20 minutes standing under a hot tent with for the boat to arrive! Through out the driving to different sites Putu was sleeping. That is not how to conduct a tour! The roads were so narrow and full of holes and bumps ithey were almost undrivable. My wife was literally pray we would not crash int the passing cars and tumble of the road down the hillside. This was ridiculous! We didn’t feel safe the whole trip. If you didn’t have back problems before the trip, you probably will after this trip. As for the boat ride back, the waves were throwing the boat around and the windows had to be close to keep the water out. Now we were in a hot sauna sweating for 45 minutes. What a joke of a trip this was. My wife told me it was her first boat ride and she will never do this again. We will have to think twice before we book another trip with this tour group.

Tour was ok. I booked a private tour as I am a solo female traveler wanted to be shown around and feel comfortable on my first day. The guides didn’t speak English to well (basic conversations) Got dropped off for lunch didn’t know where to go or what the process really was. My guides disappeared I looked but then just sat down. Had some questions regarding the menu at the place they didn’t speak English to well either. I was hoping my guides would be more interactive. Over all wouldnt book this again. :(
