Could not have had a better guide! Derya was just fabulous. She made appropriate changes when necessary to our itinerary based on the heat and our physical abilities. Pace was perfect. This was a wonderful experience! Derya was a perfect host and guide. She gave us lots of historical background and she went at our pace and allowed me to rest when needed. Ephesus was everything i was hoping for and more. Even my husband who generally has no use for historical information really loved it! Then she took us to a rug weaving place that trains young Turks in the cultural arts so as to not lose those important skills. While there we had a lovely, lovely light meal in a beautiful quiet spot featuring local foods that were so delicious! You will not go wrong having "Dory" show you the wonders of ancient Ephesus!

Great pottery learning experience and tour of Ephesus City! Very frustrating that things that were not included on tour were mandated and then there was a very uncomfortable hard sell to buy a Turkish rug. This is the first time this has happened on a Viator tour, very disappointing!!!!!!

While your booking explicitly stated that entrance fees were excluded, our team stepped in and used the skip-the-line pass to ensure your day in Ephesus was not interrupted. Despite our efforts to provide a seamless experience, these expenses remain unsettled on your end. Regarding the artisan visits, we occasionally introduce flexible cultural stops, like the pottery and rug weaving demonstrations, to showcase regional heritage when time permits. These are strictly educational showcases of traditional arts, and any purchase is entirely at our guests' discretion, and there is never any pressure. After all, Turkish carpets are not the sort of item one buys under pressure; they require taste, culture, and a sufficient budget. It is a great injustice to us that, in addition to failing to mention your satisfaction with the historical tour in Ephesus and causing difficulties for both the agency and your tour guide by not paying the entrance fees, you have also shared this misleading review.
