Valerie was a tremendous guide. She shared with us so much information about plants and what was edible or not, she could tell us about each of the major totem poles at the park. She walked us through how all of the machines at the cannery were used to produce canned salmon, especially for the military. She pointed out wildlife. She even recommended a locally made product with fireweed and Devils root to help eliminate pain. When we found it in town, we all bought it. Highly recommend this Ketchican tour.

We used Viator many times, and they found good tour operators, the experience in Ketchikan was not that well. The guy from tour Company named Tom, was a good driver and that’s about it. He never told us about the history of Ketchikan and its population, nor he didn’t talk much at all. And kept asking us what we want to see. But we didn’t know that! Everyone in our group was disappointed- there were 9 of us.

Would have given 5 stars but had trouble finding the tour they said we were sent info but we didn’t get it they blamed TripAdvisor but tour guide was Michael and he was great the stories were amazing saw a bear and bald eagle and lots of salmon

Anthony was absolutely AMAZING!!! He was wealth of knowledge of Ketchikan. He made sure to incorporate all ages from my son, 9yrs to my parents. Can not recommend him enough!

Our driver was very kind, easy-going, and knowledgeable about the surrounding area. Since we paid for the private tour, we thought our driver would explore with us but he said he had to stay at the van while we went to attractions, which we thought was a bit strange. The only other disappointment we had was that we mainly stayed on the coast. Looking for wildlife was supposed to be a part of the tour and had we gone off the main road perhaps we would have had a higher chance at seeing deer, bears, etc. We did see seals, salmon, bald eagles, and starfish though! We knew seeing bears was not a guarantee but it also didn't seem like the company tried to route us where we would. Other than that, we learned a lot and enjoyed our time in Ketchikan! It’s a beautiful town! One of our favorites!

We got a good sampling of Ketchikan. Our driver Cy was friendly and knowledgeable. Since this stop has such a small window of time. This option seemed the best for our needs

We loved our tour with Anthony! He was mindful of our groups needs (range of ages and physical abilities), and showed us some fun places throughout Ketchikan.
One thing to note, definitely be sure to research places to go before your tour, or at least an idea of where you want to go!

Anthony was super knowledgeable, thoughtful (drove slowly on the windy road, stopped at the Starbucks so we could get an Alaska mug), knew so much interesting history, took us to fabulous places we thoroughly enjoyed (saw bears, Rotary Beach, Creek Street, Saxman Village), etc…..never hurried us.
