Great experience! Gustavo was warm and welcoming, speaks decent English. Horses were well taken care of and looked healthy. We have ridden a couple times before but still amateurs. Instructions were given, but the horses pretty much knew what to do and where to go. Gorgeous ride on the beach. Our guide stopped to take pics of us in the surf on horseback. Would recommend to anyone in the area that loves horses!

We met Gustavo and his associate on the beach and had an amazing ride on a completely secluded section of the western Costa Rican beach. We rode about 30 minutes out, accompanied by the guide, who then took pictures for us in the beautiful scenery. We then rode back in the opposite direction and wrapped up a lovely ride after about an hour. The meeting location was hard to find, but we were in contact with the guide via WhatsApp and they helped us find the right location. We have all ridden before, but only occasionally, and the hour long ride was more than enough for us and our inexperienced backsides. Overall, it was an amazing experience with fantastic photos.

As a family of riders, we felt the horses were well cared for and happy doing their job. They were responsive and sweet. It was a fun activity to enjoy with my girls (ages 10-16), and allowed us to tour different parts of the area, - the mangroves, a trail, and, of course, the beach! Diego loves his horses and the area. We got lots of photos and videos.
Only negatives were that it was difficult to communicate during parts of the ride, and we weren't always sure what we were supposed to be doing. It seemed somewhat unorganized as well. I had to send a message the day of to find out where to meet.
Overall, I would recommend this ride. Especially since my 16 year old daughter had been dreaming of this opportunity and she was not disappointed. The memories she has are all perfect and for that, I am grateful!

Diego was wonderful. Very friendly and welcoming. Helped the less experienced riders feel comfortable but also allowed the more experienced riders time at the end to do more advanced things. You can tell he takes great care of the horses. Definitely a must do in!

Excellent! This was everything I hoped it would be and then some! I am an experienced rider and had plenty of opportunities to gallop on the beach. My friend had never ridden before. Diego put her on a gentle horse and was so helpful in making her feel confident. He also didn’t make us feel rushed to get back. He truly makes you feel welcome and we had almost the entire beach to ourselves. I have been all over the world doing horseback rides and this is definitely one of the best. He also took several videos of us which I was able make great photos from. Thank you for a very memorable time!

This is a unique experience that was enjoyable! It was an easy, comfortable pace although we wished we could have done some galloping and taken more photos, not just one the horse. But the horses were friendly and easy to ride. The people were so nice and easy to talk to.

We had an amazing horseback ride at sunset on the beach! Gustavo and his brother Diego were very friendly and went above and beyond to make sure we had a great ride and had amazing pictures/videos to remember our experience. The horses were well cared for, well trained, and they had horses appropriate for complete beginners and also more experienced riders.

These horses were well cared for, from what I could tell, which was very different from my impression elsewhere that offer horseback riding experiences. Gustavo and Mario seemed to genuinely care for and love their horses, and they seemed happy and friendly animals. I love horses and these guys may not really know how to set my stirrup length, which I felt weird correcting them on, but it was still really fun and a true delight! Beautiful beach and beautiful experience overall!

The beach is beautiful, guides were friendly, helped with videos and paired up the horse and rider based on experience. Most of the horses were energetic and saddles were fairly comfortable. Overall very satisfied with this adventure. Highly recommend.

The ride was nice, but there was a lack of communication with the revised start time. We were supposed to start at 3:30. After waiting 10 minutes, I called to find out it was too hot for the horses and the guide and horses were not planning to meet until 4:00. They did not show up until 4:20. There are other horseback riding options. I would not recommend this one due to lack of communication.

Tiene usted razón. La hora de reunión no coincidía con la hora de inicio. Desde ese día en adelante estamos enviando un mensaje aclaratorio a todos que la salida del viaje será 4pm y no 3:30pm que es a la hora que pueden llegar para hacer lo necesario como parquear , usar los sanitarios y tomarse algunas fotos en la playa antes de iniciar.

If you really want to ride horses on the beach, especially with your wife or girlfriend, they will do a great job with the experience. Diego our guide did a fantastic job. Definitely recommend to anyone.

One of the best travel experiences I’ve ever had. Our guide Gustavo was so kind and really worked hard to make the experience safe and fun for all. My boyfriend and I had a fantastic time cantering down the beach on his horses. We felt safe and really were in awe of how wonderful the whole experience was. 10/10 will be coming back next time in the area.

The beach is beautiful and Gustavo is funny and friendly. We had a really wonderful ride, saw a gorgeous sunset and got to scope the shells and sand dollars from atop the horses.

Included personalised ride on the beach! He catered for everyone so even though there were beginners and kids in the group, us more experienced riders were able to go fast with the horses. The two brothers were very friendly and welcoming and took amazing pictures for us.

10/10 experience! Gustavo and our guide Adrien were amazing. The beach feels private, and you are in a small group. We rode the horses through the water and down to the mangroves. I've done a lot of horseback riding tours in my travels, and this one is top of my list!

Nice experience, we waited for over an hour for our ride though. The description advised we would be able to ride per our experience, but we didn’t really get to go faster than a walk. A few seconds of trotting here and there. Scenery was beautiful Guides were friendly

There was no hotel transfer, and it’s$35 to and from Jaco each way. I was not lead to believe this while booking.

My daughter and I are experienced riders and we chose this tour because I read we could canter in the surf. This was a celebration of my 60th birthday. Gustavo, our guide, was wonderful as were his horses. They were freshly shod and healthy. Wonderful manners. We enjoyed a two hour ride from his farm and along the coast of a beautiful beach. We rode in the surf and were able to spend plenty of time trotting and a little cantering. Very fun. I highly recommend!

What a wonderful experience. My husband and I really enjoyed our morning with our guide and horses. It was obvious the horses were well cared for and that was very important to me. The beach we rode along was beautiful and serene. I will definitely return with more friends and family to share this experience with them.

4 of us went - 2 of us were experienced, one had never ridden before and another had ridden a few times. Gustav truly made it a personalized fabulous memory! We got to run the horses a lot, while the others got to enjoy their time walking or trotting. Everyone felt safe! The horses were well cared for and very well trained! The beach was like walking on glass and mist made it seem heavenly, totally amazing, it was a dream come true to ride horses on the beach!
