What's Included
- Horseback tour Safety instructions Professional bi-lingual guide Hotel pickup and drop-off within Los Suenos, Jaco, Herradura and Playa Hermosa areas for a minimum of 2 people. Pickups and drop-offs for only one person and/or for groups outside of this area please contact us for a transportation quote. Villa Caletas has a $65 additional charge for pick up. Transportation to and from the area of Tarcoles/Punta Leona must be quoted and can be up to a $90 additional cost. Transportation to and from Esterillos Este or Oeste can be quoted and can be up to an additional $60. Please note that tour times and transportation times will be scheduled by Ocean Ranch Park in accordance with availability for your tour date.

Our tour was great! We saw lots of cool butterflies, some iguanas, a snake, toucan, and a monkey. It was an 8am tour so the heat wasn’t unbearable. Our guide was very nice and knowledgeable. The waterfall was also beautiful.

Our tour was great! We saw lots of cool butterflies, some iguanas, a snake, toucan, and a monkey. It was an 8am tour so the heat wasn’t unbearable. Our guide was very nice and knowledgeable. The waterfall was also beautiful.

I wouldn’t recommend this tour. We enjoyed ourselves but it’s not worth the cost. Our tour guide was far ahead of our horses and we didn’t get a lot of information. We didn’t see many animals and it was more of a forest. We also didn’t receive fruit or drinks at the end.

Good staff, well-mannered horses. Easy ride through some parts of the rainforest. They seemed to take care of the horses well and even rescued another horse from a different tour company because it wasn't treated properly.

This wasn’t awful, but wasn’t great. Domi (not sure how to spell) the translator that rode with us was amazing. The horses seemed very thin and saw a few with no saddles and their backs seemed permanently bowed from overuse. The ride was ok. We saw nothing to note except an ant hill that was pointed out to us. The waterfall was not what I was expecting. Small and the pool beneath was a little gross. Not going to go in for a cool off. Overall, it was a slow horse ride through the woods. Pretty, but not overly exciting.

We had such a great experience! This was the first time my kids have ridden a horse and they were made to feel at ease by the guides/staff. They can’t stop talking about how much they enjoyed the horses! Thank you for a wonderful family memory!

My boyfriend and I had a great experience! Our guide, Jesus, was extremely kind and knowledgeable. The horses were well trained and cared for. We enjoyed our relaxing ride to the waterfall. We were able to spot different tree types, poison dart frogs, tucán and butterflies

Advertised as pick up from hotel, no transportation was provided and I needed a taxi both ways. Better get a contact at a taxi because none available near this site! Also need to bring water as no food or snacks provided. Scheduled at 1pm but did not start until after 2:15pm. Nobody at location to meet and greet or explain what was occurring.

First the tour guides were awesome. They def made me feel safe and secure while riding Rosa (Horse). Being as though this was my first experience riding horses I think it went pretty good. Although it was very cool, I doubt I’ll ever do it again lol just not my thing. I recommend everyone giving it a try to discover if it’s your thing or not.

This tour was so awesome. We had such an amazing time learning about the wildlife, plants and trees in Costa Rica. The guide was informative and helpful. Totally worth every penny. The horses were sweet and helped with my first time anxiety. I would for sure do this again.

Went on this tour with three of my friends when on vacation in costa rica and had an amazing time. Two of us were beginners, and our guide was patient, informative, and really fun. The stop at the waterfall was lovely. And after the tour they give you fresh pineapple and refreshments which was much needed after such an eventful couple hours!

The ranch was beautifully kept. Staff was excellent. Our only complaint would be the horses' condition. We own horses and know what healthy horses looks like. These horses were underfed. The horses were very well mannered, but they offered no rest interval for the horses in between group trails .

Excellent Tour, on time pick up, great ride to the water fall, fast ride if everyone agrees to run the horses.
Nice lunch afterwards with round trip to Hotel.
Definitely something you want to do in CR.

This tour was amazing! We actually did the waterfall repel as well. The guide Jose was knowledgeable and all the staff was friendly and helpful . We got a chance to meet the owner of the Ranch, Greg and he was very personable and down to earth. Amazing experience and I would love to do it again.

The hike does not reflect what is shown in the Viator announcement. So two hours of hiking on a regular trail is not worth the price. And the day before he moved our departure time, very ordinary because we have no choice

The experience takes place within our private 350-hectare property, featuring both primary and secondary forest, offering a natural and authentic environment. During the tour, guests also visit the beautiful El Encanto waterfall, which is an important part of the experience.
Your reservation was originally scheduled for 11:00 am. However, we recommended starting at 9:00 am due to the warmer summer temperatures, as this earlier time allows guests to enjoy the tour more comfortably. While we always suggest what we believe will provide the best experience, the intention is never to inconvenience our guests.
Many of our visitors truly enjoy the scenery and the full two-hour horseback riding experience, appreciating the nature and surroundings throughout the tour.
