Our guide manny was amazing. The total ride was about 2 hours. He was very knowledgeable about the wild life and greenery. We got to see a sloth and a couple of macaws. He gave lots of tips and never felt rushed. We would stop and talk about the nature and keep walking. I would recommend him to anyone who’s interested in horseback riding. Zero complaints 10/10

Great adventure! Scheduled for the same day because my daughters wanted to go. The tide was too high to cross the river, so we went a different route on the beach and through other areas. Our guide was awesome and showed us a lot of stuff on the way. Amazing experience!

You’ll traverse beautiful beach front vistas, race under crying canopies teeming with life within the rainforest, and ford dangerous boulder strewn rivers, all from the comfortable safety of your saddle.
The horses provided are beginner friendly and extremely easy to ride, while the guide is thoughtful, intuitive and always standing ready nearby to assist when needed.
I myself had never ridden a stallion before and so initially I was skeptical. But after a quick crash course in equestrian habits I found myself riding like a pro (sort-of)! :)
All in all I have to say the experience was truly 10/10 and for the price it’s definitely a huge bargain! This is certainly one of the best highlights from our week long trip!

Manny De Verona was a wonderful guide and highly recommend him. Very attentive, informative about local info. Very cordial and engaging conversation. Horses were very well behaved : Pinto de Gallo and Casper. Saw white face monkeys, also saw 2 fast flying scarlet macaws ! Thank you again for a wonderful experience, Manny !

They gave the option to insert a pick up location. I added my hotel in that section. they created their own pick up location after I reserved with my own information. We’re not from here to be easily navigating around and finding them. You gave the option to add my hotel and chose not to meet me there until AFTER I sent my screenshot showing I entered my hotel. Had their hotel been listed and there was no hotel pickup or option to meet at my hotel, I would’ve asked around ahead of time to figure it all out. That step wasn’t made because I had my hotel in and thought a rep for the tour would meet me in the lobby of mine. Then after poor communication and planning on their part, several annoying calls and messages were made to get me to respond. The lack of reading and creation of your own pick up location didn’t make for a good ride at that point.

We ALWAYS comunícate with all our guests before the tour. We sent you messages vía WhatsApp and emails before the tour, to confirm everything. We NEVER RECEIVED ANY RESPONSE!! Our last message is always "If you have any further questions or concerns please feel free to contact us at any time." You NEVER RESPONDED!
We arrived at your hotel with the horses and waited for over 45min outside! You NEVER ARRIVED!! We sent messages, and you wouldn't reply!!! We called you on the phone and you DECLINED our calls!!! You said our calls were annoying, why wouldn't you answer our calls?? We're trying to comunícate with you!! We didn't know what was the problem, we were outside on the beach with the horses!!! We took pictures of the horses in front of Paradise HOTEL. We advised you that there's NO REFUND for choosing not to go on the tour, we were already there, in good faith, at the location with the horses and guide ready for the tour. Your the one who didn't show up!
YOU DIDN'T GO ON THE RIDE!! PLEASE DON'T LIE!
We did everything posible in good faith, waited at your hotel with the horses for over 45min. We don't understand why you decided not to show up.

What a great horseback adventure! Sunset ride on Playo Jacó with Manny… an excellent guide, equestrian (yes, Manny, we noticed the English saddle), and gentleman. Make sure to book the 3:30 event, as the sunsets can be spectacular. Would definitely do it again!

It was a nice horse ride around the beach at Jaco. It was a small group so it was nice and personalized. I liked how they asked you about your experience prior to riding, so they could pair you with a horse depending on your experience. Unfortunately, we were unable to complete the whole tour due to construction, but luckily we were able to see wild life and a beautiful sunset. I would only recommend booking with at least 1-2 days prior since communication can be a bit difficult through the app, or find another way to communicate with the guides.

don't understand?? The tour ended just before 6pm. The last video, I took of y'all, shows the time at 5:50pm. The tour was from 3:30pm to 5:30pm, we actualy took longer than usual.
First of all, we returned at sunset, just as you stated. We finished just before dark! As you can see in the photos I took of you and your partner, with the sunset in the background. We don't ride at night.
Second of all, maybe you misunderstood, the construction had nothing to do with the tour, I was just showing y'all the new homes pointing out the development. That's the cross roads where we ALWAYS turned back, because there's nothing else to see beyond that point.
Finally, the tour was booked at 11pm the night before the tour, sorry, our office was closed at that hour. Communication is fine here, just like anywhere, as long as you remember to log in to wifi, or have WhatsApp activated and check the emails, you won't have any problems getting in touch with us.
In conclusión, I hope y'all enjoy the photos and videos we sent you. Thanks again for your support!🤠

Nice easy ride on the beach. Mellow horses and a great for inexperienced riders. We went into the forest and saw a sloth.

Great experience! The guides are very nice and relaxed. We went on a family vacation and the experience was friendly for our entire group which is exactly what we were looking for. All of the horses had their own personalities and well trained. We also saw a number of animals including two sloths and various birds. The guides also took a lot of photos and videos of our group which was great and very appreciated. All of the pictures and videos were sent to us immediately following the ride. I highly recommend to anyone looking for a family friendly experience. My only comment is that the beach and trail we were on was congested with beach goers and other horse and atv groups. May not be the best activity if you are looking to experience more nature.

Was one of the most beautiful experiences of my life, our guide was amazing, the itinerary give you a shot of Costa Rica.

We had a great time and even saw a sloth! Pretty much we just rode the horses down the beach, into the woods, down 2 different trails hoping to see sloths- and success! The excursion was a perfect 2 hours. Not sure we needed more time than that. Pro tip- listen to the recommendation to wear long pants. We saw pictures of people in shorts and with the warm weather we considered doing the same but decided to wear Capri pants. Even capris, I kept pulling them down as the saddle/ stirrups were rubbing inside my calves/shins.

We send everyone a notice suggesting the following: May we suggest long pants (saddle chafing), closed shoes, sunsreen and hat opcional. No backpacks please. We have helmets available upon request. This horseback riding tour was definitely the best experience I’ve had while visiting Costa Rica. We rode through the jungle, along the beach and through a river. Our tour guide, Manny, patiently, explained basic riding skills and was very attentive throughout the tour. He took lots of great pictures of us while he was on horseback! I highly recommend this tour!

My first time riding horses and loved it!! Manny made this experience super special he took us through the river, and went through scenic paths where we saw sloth, tucan and lots of other things. We were very lucky to have scenic views with sunset and a private tour with Manny. He was so kind and took pics of us during our adventure and sent it to us to treasure forever! Don’t think and just do it! Manny is the best! Felt safe and comfortable the whole time on the gentle horses! I love riding on tequila!!!

This horseback riding tour was hands-down the highlight of our entire trip! The horses were in excellent condition, incredibly friendly, and clearly well cared for. Our guide was fantastic—his deep knowledge of the local area and over 35 years of Costa Rica experience made the tour both educational and unforgettable.
We had the amazing opportunity to ride along the beach, stopping to learn about fascinating local plants, spot a sloth in the wild, and admire stunning birds. Every moment felt magical.
If you’re in the area, do yourself a favor and take this tour—it’s worth every penny and more! If I could rate it higher than 5 stars, I absolutely would. You won’t regret it!

We had such great time. Beautiful beach views along the trail. We saw a sloth and a white face monkey along with a few birds.
