This was probably our favorite day of our trip. The entire staff was so friendly. Capitán Santos, Chef Giovani, Host Jordan, Playa Assistants Mario and Mariana , and of course our Bartender Ruben. We contemplated even going because its rainy season and we didn’t want to be stuck, but the weather was gorgeous and like I said, probably our favorite part of our trip. Definitely worth the visit!

Come thirsty. A really great all day experience. Don’t freak out if your ride is a little late. You’re on Costa Rica time. Boat captain stopped when whales, dolphins and turtles were spotted. Many photo opportunities. Got to see peccaries on the island. You will truly get your money worth.
This was hands-down the best experience of my trip I came as a solo traveler for my 30th birthday and when I tell you the service I and the other guests received was top-notch on top of the experience just being such a memorable one this is a MUST do. Also bring some cash to tip the crew members. They’re truly amazing and made the experience so much more worth it!

Such an amazing experience!! 10/10 recommend. The drink packages are superrrrr worth it. $25 for 5 or $45 for 10. You can share your package with friends as well. I got the $45 drink package and shared it with my boyfriend :)

They provide everything! From food, unlimited drinks, banana boat, snorkeling , travel . It was one of my favorite excursions. All the workers are extremely nice and helpful. Highly recommend

This was a good tour for a wide range of travelers. There were several young families on this trip, there were older travelers, and there were people of all ages looking to party (but not overwhelming anyone who wasn't). In short, if you want to party, you can, but I wouldn't characterize this as a party boat tour by any means-- you can totally bring your kids or go as someone who doesn't drink.
The day started at 7 and ended a bit after 4, with about 6-7 of those hours being on the island. The food that was served was enough to keep you from getting hungry, and there was no shortage of drinks.
The tour staff are friendly, responsive, and capable. Brandon took good care of us, as did the lead staff member in charge (whose name I'm unsure of, I'm sorry). Whenever you want a drink, either alcoholic or not, it appears quickly, and the trash is whisked away equally rapidly.
Unlike other tours I've seen, you don't have to choose between activities-- you can go snorkeling, banana boating (which we skipped in favor of lying on the beach), AND do a quick hike. (We did the short version, because the long version was rained out, and we still saw javelinas and deer.) Or you can do none of those things and just lie on your comfy beach chair under your personal beach umbrella.
Toilet access is included for free, though tips are appreciated on the island. The island also has a small souvenir shop that has sunscreen and such for sale, too.
The water wasn't cold, though I would recommend swim shoes, because the beach is rocky.
My husband really likes boats, swimming, and lying on the beach, so he was thrilled with the whole outing. I like not being seasick but am highly prone to it, and if that's you, I recommend being among the first to get in line to get back on the boat in the afternoon so that you can sit on the top and keep the horizon in view (not that things were bad on the way out, because they weren't, but this kept me from getting even a little bit dizzy). We both had a good time.

This was a great way to spend the day with the family at the beach. Pickup was prompt and everyone on staff was kind and attentive.
The ride out to the island took about 45 minutes - once we arrived, the team assigned chairs based on party size and the drinks started flowing. Those who wanted to snorkel were taken out a few hundred yards to a large rock formation where there were tons of colorful fish to see.
When we got back to shore, lunch (and more drinks) were ready. After eating, we hung out in the surf, socializing with other families while the kids found new friends to hang out with for the day.
The banana boat came out a bit after lunch, which was fun - they will go as slow or fast as the group wants. We skipped the hiking in lieu of hanging out at the beach, but we heard it was nice.
Definitely recommend doing this with the family!
All the CostaCat guides were so attentive and kind getting us whatever we needed before we even had to ask. We rode the boat to the island eating fruit on the way. Once there we were given chairs and umbrellas along with juice which was unlimited. Next we went out snorkeling for 30-40 min and then back to the beach where they had a delicious lunch of chicken,rice, potato, beans,and salad. After lunch we explored the beach with very soft sand and very friendly for every kind of group. Next the banana boat ride and a short hike. All optional but very fun. The workers got to know us and made sure we were involved as much as we wanted to be. We loved this little stress free get away.

We loved this tour! The staff (especially Aaron, Julie, and Ruben) was so friendly and always helping us with drinks, activities, and anything else we needed! The catamaran ride was smooth and easy, and we saw some flying fish along the way. The beach was beautiful, and we enjoyed collecting shells and rocks, swimming in the water, snorkeling, and our kids had fun on the banana boat ride. We also saw some wildlife during the hike. Overall, it was a perfect day at the beach!

Mr. Wilbur and the staff were wonderful. Before we even got off the boat he knew everyone by name and we had a packed cattermran. On the island your hands were never empty. The staff made sure you either had a cocktail water or food. If you weren't in the sand you were in the water enjoying the amazing sea life close to shore. When the snorkeling started we all thought we'd be right there on shore nope out we went to the rocks and they made the ocean come to life. The fish were incredible and by chance I seen an eal but that was because I was naughty and took my life jacket of and I free dove down to watch the underwater world take shape. When you got back to paradise you could also hike and the staff would take the banana bout out for a joy ride. From the moment we arrived to the time the amazement ended it was a blast. If you have the time 10/10 do freakin recommend!!!!!

We had a terrific day on the Costa Cat tour to Tortuga Island! The guides on the trip (Eddie, Andres, Cesar, Julie and others) took extremely good care of us, always there with another drink or activity to participate in! We snorkeled, swam in the blue water off the beach, rode a banana boat, hiked thru the flora and fauna of the island and most of all relaxed! The food was awesome!

All the staff were incredibly nice and accommodating, especially Wilbert and Cesar. Every activity was organized and well planned, and we felt like we could really relax and have fun. So fun, would recommend!

This was a great way to spend a leisurely day with family of all ages and fitness levels. The drinks and food are included and available all day. The staff is very attentive and friendly. Snorkeling was fun and the beach is beautiful.

A beach crowded with ugly drunk American tourists using drones to take pictures of women then bragging about it on the boat home. I would not recommend this to anyone. There are much better ways to spend a day, and much better beaches.

My husband and I had a great time from the moment we stepped on the boat until the moment we stepped off. Erin was our guide and he was excellent along with his crewmates who made the entire trip very enjoyable. They are constantly making sure that we were all set with whatever we needed. The boat ride was great, the snorkeling was fabulous, had so much fun on the boat ride and hiking. They served an excellent lunch and just made the whole day a pleasure. Would definitely recommend this trip to anybody who is interested and would myself book again with Costa Cat.

The staff was highly attentive, some of the best service I've ever had. Delicious food and a beautiful island with great activities. Would do it again! Highly recommend and dont forget to tip the staff, they work hard in the heat!

The trip itinerary was amazing. Well planned and entertaining. As well as the food, drinks, and snacks. However, the highlight of the trip was the professional, friendly, and attentive staff. Marco, Aron, Julie, and Jordan made this trip exceptional and a Must/Do if you’re visiting Costa Rica.

Don't even think twice about booking. Hands down a great trip. Aaron. Julie, Marcos, and Jordan literally are there every second to cater to your needs. Even Roberta from the other group was attentive! What a blast this trip was! I would definitely do this again. They know how to it right for the guests.

This was an awesome excursion. The staff was very attentive, bringing drinks all the time while we were at the beach. The beach accommodations were great. Everyone had a lounge chair and umbrella. The lunch was good, the drinks were good, and the service was awesome.

Our group was highly anticipated this excursion after booking it weeks in advance, and somehow it still completely exceeded our expectations. It was an incredible experience from start to finish and completely worth every penny. Our hosts Brit and Adriano made our experience so incredible. If you’re thinking about booking this, do it. We were a group of 11 and they made it so special for us. The food and drinks were incredible and the excursions were so fun. If I’m ever in Costa Rica again I would love to experience this again. Shout out the entire crew, 1000/10.

The staff was incredible. They did an awesome job, but the boat is entirely too small. I’ve did these tours all around the world and I never been on such a small boat with just couch seating. There is nowhere to spread out. The boat needs to be upgraded or change for just a sightseeing trip not for a catamaran beach trip. They also pack it out with too many people.

Full day of activities. Wonderful and attentive staff. Super impressed that they all remembered our names throughout the day. Lunch was amazing and the jungle juice was never ending. Great experience!!!
