We took our family on the buggy tour and it was fantastic! Our guide was great and filled us in on some interesting trivia around the area. The waterfall was beautiful and the short stop for refreshments was just the right amount of time for a break.

This was such a fun tour! It was raining when we started but it stopped part way through. It worked for us because it kept the dust down. Our guide, Danny, was full of information about what we were seeing. We saw a beautiful waterfall and stopped at a lovely place for lunch/refreshments with a magnificent view. The food here was some of best we had while visiting. Highly highly recommend!

We had a great day! We did a 4 hour buggy tour with our guide Danny. He took the time to point out some beautiful details that we may have missed, as well as thoroughly explained the landscape of each of our stops. We stopped at waterfall and a cute little town. Then he took us to a restaurant for lunch that was off the beaten path with amazing food drinks and a spectacular view. Our tour was 4 hours but we could have easily extended it to a full day. Danny is clearly passionate about his country and loves his job! He also took the time to take great photos of our group! Thanks for a great tour!

Buggy tour was nice and fun. 1 hour ride doesn't visit many landmarks but still fun. Be prepared for a bumpy ride.

It was a fun trip. Our guide Mike was very friendly and informative. While helmets and food/drink were in the description? We did not receive any. He did ask if we wanted to ride longer or stop at a restaurant? Maybe that was our chance idk? We crossed a creek and got a flat tire on a big rock. We had to wait an hour for Mike to drive down and bring back a new tire. (Not a replacement ATV) upon checkout the girl was very disinterested in the fact that we were left alone in the heat for an hour waiting. No apology. No concern for us whatsoever. Not even a bottle of water! I believe she said “oh well stuff happens”. We had fun but the company really needs to work on their customer service. Could be worse I suppose. At least they didn’t charge us for the tire!

We had a great family friendly ride on our Honda 4x4 utv or utility vehicle. It was all terrain and rugged country and we went through farms and jungles. The guide was nice and explained our environments. He was super patient with our four year old.

Are guide Tony was awesome. Vehicle was safe, views breathtaking. Make sure to do the tour that’s at least 3 hours to see the good waterfall.

Great experience. The buggy was awesome and our private tour guide was excellent. We went all through the mountains, stopped at a waterfall, and had lunch at the top of the mountain. The guide took lots of pictures. Office staff was super nice and the entire experience was definitely 5 stars! Highly recommended.

Gabriel went above and beyond! He took us to the most amazing places - a mango farm, a waterfall, and stopped along the way to show us interesting plants and trees. It was truly a wonderful experience. Thank you!

David did an amazing job taking us up and through the mountains to waterfalls and creeks. We had lunch at a fabulous restaurant along our mountain path. The food was delicious. David was very patient and professional. No trip to Javo is complete without an AXR ATV Tour!

Abner was a great guide! We had him all to ourselves and it was great to be able to learn about the area. Jaco Falls was amazing and the pineapple smoothie was delicious. Thank you Abner for a great trip. He even shared a local fruit drink recipe with us that I’m looking forward to trying..

The road are very dusty bring face covers otherwise it’s difficult to breathe . Beautiful views and stopped at a waterfall . Lunch was amazing

This was our family's favorite excursion while in Costa Rica. I think what made it so great was our tour guide, Danny. He was friendly and helpful and fun. He knew how to use my phone's camera better than I did, and took some great pictures for us as well. The trails were not scary steep or rocky or too adventurous for me or my two kids. Bring face covers. We bought bandanas at the atv place, and I'm glad we did. Our guide provided googles. We were very dusty. Danny pointed out animals to us and told us interesting things about the towns and places we went through. He helped make sure my kids were safely secured in the back after we all got out to check stuff out. There are atv tours everywhere, but Danny our guide really made this one great.

We had an EXCELLENT trip with Danny. The scenery was amazing and the food at the local restaurant where we had lunch was delicious. You will be dusty and dirty at the end of the tour, but it's worth it! It is also very safe for families to travel in these buggies.

We booked a 4 hour tour and got Alberto as our guide. We have a son in a wheelchair and they were so awesome with him! Alberto was amazing! The ride was long and rough but the views at the top and the waterfall were so worth it!! We stopped for a drink on the way back and had the best pina colada ever!! Would highly recommend!!

We took the 4 hours extreme tour in a quad and it was worth it! We went in the mountain, a natural pool, eat on top of the mountain with a breathtaking view and finish strong with an exciting ride in the river! It’s a trip to do at least once in a lifetime!

1. Let me start by saying Nancy was the sweetest most hospitable tour guide who went out of her way to make a bad situation as comfortable as possible.
1. First the guys operating the front desk delayed our tour by 1 hour (things happen so we let that slide).
2. Next they ask us for a security deposit before our tour, now the tour details vaguely mentions a security deposit but they were intentional in NOT DISCLOSING how much in the tour listing because to our surprise it was $500.00 USD, Yes I said $500.00 USD. Most tourists would be turned off immediately if this information was disclosed up front hence why I said it was intentionally omitted. Not to mention what if someone arrives at the facility and doesn’t have $500.00 USD for a temporary deposit, then what?
3. The last straw for me was the negligence from the guy in front office staff, my husband and I were sent Out into the forest in the middle of the rainy season , into the highest parts of the mountains where the fog is super thick and forced to drive alongside other automobiles with NO HELMET (which is listed as something that was part of the package we purchased) or goggles for that matter. It literally pisses me off that anyone would be so negligent knowing you have to deal with dirt and rocks flying up from the guides ATV in front of you and A likely chance of rain pouring during this time of year. Luckily we were smart enough to bring a towel because we expected that we may get a little wet, little did we know that the towel would end up becoming our only protection from the elements since I had to keep using it to wipe my Husband’s face In the pouring rain just so he could see and prevent us from going off a cliff or running into vehicles coming in the opposite direction.
Needless to say our tour was cut short and I’d never take another tour with this company or recommend them to anyone who actually values their life and safety.

The owner(manager) and the guide Enrique are both amazing! we actually went on 2 tours with them. And the restaurant El Tajo is EXCELLENT! A must visit!

EXCELLENT TOUR! We saw toucans, monkeys, macaws, gorgeous electric blue colored butterflies and so much more! Our guide, Danny, was exceptional.
