This excursion was absolutely beautiful and full of adventure. Future travelers should know that if they have a fear of heights and/or walking on the edge of cliffs, this may not be the tour for them. While the views are breathtaking and the experience is unforgettable, it can definitely be physically and mentally challenging at times.
That said, the tour guides (Charly and Jorge) were outstanding. They went well out of their way to make sure everyone felt safe, supported, and confident throughout the entire experience. If someone (me, lol) needed extra help or reassurance, they were right there every step of the way.
Knowing how to swim is a plus, but it’s not required. Even for those who aren’t strong swimmers, the guides make safety a top priority and ensure everyone has an amazing time. No lifejackets are required.
And just when you think the experience couldn’t get any better — after the hike, the guides take you up the mountain for an incredible lunch. The food was absolutely amazing. The chicken and the pork were so flavorful and perfectly prepared, it honestly felt like eating at a 5-star restaurant. It was the perfect way to end such an adventurous day.
Overall, this is a thrilling and rewarding adventure — just be prepared, step outside your comfort zone, and trust that you’re in excellent hands.

Great hike. Charlie was excellent and showed us multiple plants and kept us safe on the hike. We had dry ground and the hike was moderate to easy in my opinion. If it was raining that would make it much more challenging

Be prepared to hike edges of trails, but the reward is worth it! Lots of nice falls, pools, and good climbs.

It includes lots of up hill climbing and not many rails or ropes to assist goi g up the trail.
Need really good hard hiking shoes and 2 poles if balance is an issue.
Over 50 crowd should be aware of the fast pace.
We only completed 3 waterfalls.
Recommend if only under 50 years of age and in great shape.

This experience was excellent start to finish. Our guide Jorge was very knowledgeable and as the owner/operator really cares for the land, he speaks excellent English and really cared that his guests were having a great time.
Yes the hike is hard in places and you need to pull yourself up a few ropes, but if you have reasonable fitness and some hiking experience you will be fine.

This tour was wonderful. It is moderate to difficult as you are climbing waterfalls. So not for the faint of heart. A beautiful hike. Prepare to get wet as you are hiking through streams. The plunge pools at the base of the falls are heavenly respites on your hike.

From start to finish, this tour was absolutely magical. We did it to celebrate my 27th birthday, and it turned out to be incredibly special. The entire experience felt surreal, like something out of a dream.

Excellent knowledgeable guide whose wisdom and humor made my hiking experience enjoyable. At 58 yo. I was gratified to learn about my capacity to hike steep inclines, climb large rock structures, and navigate narrow mountainous trails. The 4 by 4 jeep ride through the creekbeds were awesome. The lunch was world class. And the Watermelon/pineapple/banana juice was a delicious treat. Oh! On the spot pressed sugarcane juice was amazing. I highly recommend this tour experience.👍🫶🏽

When you imagine hiking in Costa Rica around the waterfalls this is it. Fresh sugar cane juice and fruit on the hike, an awesome guide (we had Andres who was a great time), and great swimming holes in the waterfalls. It’s a real hike, not some paved path so if you’re looking for a good adventure this is the thing for you. 10/10 would recommend!!

I thoroughly enjoyed this experience!! The views were amazing and we were able to swim at many of the waterfalls. It is quite a hike uphill, along narrow ridges and across a few bridges. I did find parts of it very challenging as you have to climb rocks to the top of some of the falls to carry on with the tour. Ropes are there to assist and the guide was very helpful.

Last minute trip, it was close to Los Suenos resort. Jorge is the guide he was late arriving, but I had read that in a review and was not concerned. Went next door to Roberto’s to see what they had smoothies and menu for lunch. I knew it was a 6.5 mile hike in and out total. Didn’t realize it was rock climbing and swimming. Sneakers were wet but you need your sneakers or hiking boots to do hike , so be prepared they will be wet. It was a great hike informative , fun and refreshing. We returned late due to we left late. But everyone hikes and climb's at their own rate. So be patient and have fun. Afterwards we went to Roberto’s for a late lunch and drinks. Best meal of the trip. I highly recommend this trip.

I recently joined this tour and was really looking forward to the experience. Unfortunately, the wait time was extremely long - we ended up waiting for over an hour and no apologies from the guide.
While the excursion was overall fun, the lengthy delay really put a damper on our experience. I understand that delays can happen, but an hour is a significant amount of time.
I hope the guide takes steps to improve their wait times, as I would have liked to have enjoyed my experience more.

One of the best hiking experiences I’ve ever done. Jorge was a professional, organized, ethical, and hilarious guide. We learned so much about Costa Rican wildlife and culture while taking in stunning views. The included lunch was fantastic - perfectly charred meat of choice, rice, and delicious juice. We want to come back!
