Your day trip to Macau starts with hotel pickup in central Hong Kong for the drive to the ferry terminal, where you board the ferry to Macau. When you arrive, visit the UNESCO World Heritage sites of the Historic Centre of Macau, including Na Tcha Temple, built in 1888 in dedication to the child god of war.
Other landmarks here include the ruins of St Paul’s, where you climb up the steps to check out the ornate façade of a Catholic church from the early 1700s; the Old City Walls, Portuguese remnants that date back to 1569; and Mount Fortress, built between 1617 and 1626. You also stop at Macau Tower, which was inspired by Auckland’s Sky Tower, for a delicious buffet lunch (included), and, if you wish, you may ride the elevator up to the top for panoramic views (own expense).
Finally, visit a casino, one of many in Macau, which offers a variety of games and entertainment. Your day trip ends with transfer to the ferry port for the ride back to Hong Kong and drop-off at your original departure point. Note the order of visits may change.

- If you book a tour, but do not offer a pickup place, you will receive cancellation notice and refund. If you stay in a local home or a hotel not in the pickup list, please inform of the address upon booking. You will be informed of the nearest pickup hotel and pickup time to meet your tour guide. Your reply of approval of this pickup arrangement and deadline of apply time is critical. The deadline is 3pm one day prior of your Macau tour day. This is the time when all ferry tickets will be bought for Macau tour next day. After the deadline, all bookings without a pickup plan will be cancelled automatically.
- If you book an activity less than 24 hours prior to the scheduled activity start time, you are required to telephone the local tour supplier immediately right after your booking. Otherwise the tour bus will not come to your hotel.
- You will receive a Final Confirmation Voucher with pickup time and meeting place from the local tour supplier in Hong Kong. The telephone number of the local tour supplier is displayed on your voucher. The office is open from 0700 to 2100 Hong Kong time. If no one answers the phone call after office hour, please telephone again at 0700 next day to add you in the pickup list.
- Upon pickup, your tour guide will find you by eye contact, or read your name from the pickup list. MUST be on time since the reserved round-trip ferry tickets are not changeable. There is no refund for no show or being late.
- Please inform your nationality on reservation. You are recommend to use keyword of "Corpo de Polícia de Segurança Pública" to search on Internet and check if you need a visa for Macau. Please bring along passport for immigration entry at Macau.
- The immigration department of Hong Kong has announced that starting from 23 January 2017, Indian national must apply for and successfully complete pre-arrival registration online before they can visit Hong Kong visa-free. From 23 January for any Indian passport holder join the any outgoing tour to Macau must bring their passport and with copy of pre-arrival registration. When your tour guide pick up the Indian guest for outgoing tour to Macau, they will check with the guest to ensure they have the copy of pre-arrival registration.
- Chinese passport holders need to have Macau Travel Permit and should apply it from Chinese Embassy before you arrive in Hong Kong. Chinese citizen from mainland China please do not book this tour because you might have problem for re-entry of Hong Kong in the same day. Due to different explanation of visiting times of your Hong Kong Travel Permit, you might be rejected to re-enter into Hong Kong,
- Museum of Macau is not included for tours on Monday.
- Ages below 21 or those wearing shorts or slippers are not allowed access to casino. No photos allowed inside museum and casino. If you do not enter into casino, you can walk around the nearby area and come back in time.
- If you want to stay on Macau Tower to take SkyWalk or bungee jump at own cost, you will give up the visit of Sands Casino (no partial refund). Please tell your tour guide that you will leave the group, and ask for your return ferry ticket. Please notice no land transfer will be arranged after Macau Tower if you leave the group.
- If you choose return ferry at 2200: After lunch, you will not visit Sands Casino. You will be transferred to Venetian Macao. Free time in Cotai Strip. Your coach & guide will leave. You will on your own. Please take free hotel shuttle bus (offered by Venetian Macao) to ferry terminal @2100. Then take ferry back to Hong Kong at 2200. No pickup from ferry terminal on Hong Kong side, return coach transfer from ferry terminal to your hotel in Hong Kong will be arranged by yourself.

This was a huge ripoff of a tour! It’s not worth visiting Macau on this tour! The guide just drove us around a few places in Macau and stopped at like 1-2 places for brief pics and didn’t take us to the fortress or square as promised nor did he offer us to buy the ticket to go to the observation desk of Macau Tower to see the skyline! This was a HUGE WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY! I regret coming and spending my time here on this tour! Not worth it all! He didn’t show us around the temple either because he just said you can see the temple and didn’t give us time to go and see anything around Macau other than St. Paul’s. It seemed like they were more bothered about the lunch for us and that’s it! This was a HUGE WASTE OF MONEY AND TIME! I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS TOUR TO ANYONE! Not worth it! Also, Macau is just like Las Vegas!
The tour guides were very sweet and helpful with good english, but the tour itself wasn’t great. We left an hour later than was initially described. The weather was terrible which is no one’s fault, but there were no clear plans for bad weather once in Macau. We spent less than 4 hours on the tour in macau, with rest of time being the travel to macau. And out of 4 hours, one hour was dedicated to lunch. The price was not worth the money. We were left at the end of the day at one of the casinos and told to find the free shuttle to ferry on our way back . We were told where to go, but ended up wondering for more than an hour trying to find the shuttle since the casino was a huge maze. For how little we got out of this tour it should have been 1/3 of the cost.

Once we got to Macau, we joined a tour group of 48 people. We felt that this was too many people for an enjoyable experience. The guide tried hard but he was hard to understand as he was wearing a mask. Lunch was not enjoyable at all.

The tour operator was very accommodating and getting me from Hong Kong hotel to the ferry port. The ferry was so comfortable and Kenney was there to meet up with a sign. Even though it was pouring rain, we had umbrellas in Kenni gave us enough time at each station. The lunch was really good and the group was nice to wait a few minutes extra at the end because I was delayed getting to the Meet Up Pl. to leave. I highly recommend the TOUR

Kenny, our guide in Macau, was outstanding. Surprised that our small group would be joining a bus full of tourists from another tour company when we arrived in Macau. Especially surprised that our drop-off site was not the same as our pick-up point, leaving us to find our own way back to our hotel in Hong Kong. Had we noticed this in the initial booking, we would have found another tour.

Trip was interesting but having to go through Chinese immigration twice was slow a tiring. The casinos are absolute mob scenes with long lines waiting to get in. The tour picked us up at our hotel but afterwards we were left at the ferry terminal to find our way back to our hotel. Had to stand in line for 45 minutes waiting on a taxi. Our tour guide, Kenny was excellent.

The tour duration supposed 9 hours. The route trip ferry took one hour each route. I arrived in Macao around 11am and the trip ended at 4pm. Total the trip was not long enough as advertised. I'm disappointed.

Very, very difficult to communicate with accurately. I received numerous emails saying pickup at 8:30AM, then an email the night before saying 8AM,,,,finally a phone call at 9:30 the night before saying 8:15.........they arrived at 8:30........
The guide does not provide you with a return ferry ticket initially, after showing him the printed correspondence he agreed to get one for us.....however, he then said the home office required him to obtain $50 more dollars from each of us........Viator provided NO help in trying to resolve the times initially, and, doubt they will do anything to assist with the $50 now either. Frankly, they are not what they used to be. VIATOR,,,,you quoted a price,,,,,you should honor it,,,,,we could not come back to Hong Kong from Macau unless we paid the $50 more. You owe me $300.

Thank you for your feedback. We would like to clarify a few points. The pickup time we provide is always approximate, and due to Hong Kong morning traffic, slight adjustments may be needed. Our guides will confirm the exact pickup via WhatsApp in advance.
For guests starting from Hong Kong, we provide full round-trip ferry tickets at no extra cost, so no additional payment is required for the ferry. The HKD 50 you mentioned is a gratuity for the Macau guide, which is noted in the tour information.
We appreciate your understanding and hope this clarifies the situation.
Not worth £130; the ferry tickets were only £40 and the buffet lunch was pretty unassuming. It says the tour is for 9 hours but we arrived at Macao at 10:30 and the guide finished at 2pm. The whole time we spend on the bus (the guide did tell us about history etc) with occasional 15min stops for pictures and lunch. All the places that are included in the tour are free to entry anyway, so not sure where the price is coming from.
You’d be better off going by yourself and controlling where to go and what to do.

I hate to give such a low score but this tour was very disappointing. Macau is definitely worth a visit, but the tour feels very superficial. You spend little time at the historical areas, you don’t get to go to the top of the tower, the lunch at the hotel is average.

The tour was bit rushed and the return is mostly on your own, from taking the free shuttle from Venetian to the Ferry and then the Ferry back to your hotel l had to pay my own taxi. It's not a big deal but they should have described it.

Nice trip to Macau, everything was very good arranged (Lunch in skytower), stay for the evening to see all there is in Macau incl. Venice. This site is on the other part of the island where you will not be or go by wen you book the short tour.
A very well organised tour. Macau is a little more difficult to get around by yourself so a tour is the way to go. Some historical some new things to see. Very hot and humid so keep up the water. Very clean city and a sight to see
We had a wonderful time in Macau with its historical heritage. The lunch at Macau Tower was delicious and our guide had an amazing amount of knowledge to share with us.
This was a fun day with Henrietta, a fun and informative guide. The hotel pick-ups were efficient and the ferry ride fun, if a bit bumpy on the way over due to the weather. On Macau, the majority of the day focused on the history and there was free time to explore the city center. We enjoyed a nice buffet lunch on the 60th floor of the Macau Tower and watched Tower walkers and bungee jumpers while we ate and enjoyed the views. Prior to the return ferry, there was a 45 minute stop at the Sands casino, but there was also an option for a nice walk along the water for those of us not interested in gambling. The ferry ride back was again a bit bumpy due to the weather, but was still fun with a nice view of Hong Kong Harbor with all the lights.
Back in Hing Kong, my hotel was not a drop-up hotel and I asked to be dropped at an MTR station. The shuttle guide suggested a different, more efficient MTR station and walked me to the entrance, making sure I knew where and how to transfer. Excellent service!

It was hard to understand the tour guide. He treated us like children, repeatedly reminding us of instructions, we wasted a lot time listen to him repeatedly. The tour was so rushed, he didn't allow us enough sight seeing and photo opportunities.

Indispensable experience if you are going on a trip to Hong Kong. Another world. What I missed was a (short) visit to Senado Square... that would have been nice. Large group, but tourguide Grace did well. However, the “tip” of 50 HK dollars is mandatory per person. Grace took it prior to the tour, and it was thus her “for the company” and not for herself. Then the question is why doesn't the company add that 50 dollar directly to the price?

Los guias fueron absolutamente puntuales y cumplieron en todo. El centro historico es pequeño pero particular por el aire portugues que lo distingue de otras ciudades. Muy buen almuerzo en el restaurante giratorio. Merece la pena.
La journée a été très agréable et tt à fait fidèle au descriptif. Henrietta notre guide à Macao a été super. Elle est attentive et souple. Vraiment je recommande l'excursion. Et même si vous voulez pas jouer ça vaut le coup de rentrer dans un ou deux casinos à la fin.
