Our guide Dinnis took us on a wonderful walking tour around the harbor city area. His background in the food industry gave us unique insight. We did about seven stops over about three hours. FYI, Dennis, we went back to the Ramen place the next day, lol… It’s a fun, entertaining, and educational experience, but be sure to come hungry. You will be full by the end… Cheers…

Our night tour with City Unscripted was the perfect way to start our visit to Hong Kong. We chose to stay in Kowloon to enjoy the street food and markets. Regene was a fabulous guide, and communications through the Viator app were easy and very timely.

Fast paced tour covers a lot of ground…in a good way. A great mix of food, culture, history and a real variety of experiences ranging from a wonderful museum to a flower market, sound and light harbor display, bird market, various street food stalls and finally a sit down meal in a local restaurant which few tourists would ever know about. Alfred was extremely knowledgeable, energetic and friendly. Highly recommended!!

Dennis was a great host. Contacting us often to make sure the experience was tailored for us. Fabulous bites from soup dumplings and Sichuan fried chicken to Dim Sum and desserts each at the best specialty shop or restaurant throughout Hong Kong. Our guide Pinky was a very friendly & happy person and knowledgeable about Hong Kong and gladly answered all our questions. However we expected to visit more food places and try more local cuisine. We walked and walked throughout the markets, but we would have liked to try the food at street market rather than the chain restaurants we stopped at. I felt tour was very overpriced for what it was.

I had a private food tour with Malin and had a lovely afternoon-it felt like wandering around with a friend, she was a wonderful guide. We did lots of walking which helped to balance out all the tasty food!
Malin was very organised ahead of the tour, and I felt like she really personalised the trip according to my preferences. I definitely saw places I wouldn’t have visited and tried food I might have not thought about… she also gave me some great recommendations for the rest of my time in Hong Kong.
This is a premium price, but given it’s a bespoke, 1:1 experience I think it was worth it.

We met our guide, pinky, at a local metro station and started off with some local dim sum, which was delicious. From there we had snake soup and turtle shell soup (a little local flair) then we made a tour of the ladies market (which I requested) so that I could get my last minute gifts and had a few more food stops and I was stuffed by the end. Pinky was really friendly and tailored the tour to our requests. We had a great time!

For what you are getting, it’s a very overpriced tour. Considering the price, I was expecting a mix of both local street food like hole in the wall restaurants and some finer options. But we mostly went to food places you can pull off google (which is what our guide was using) and do yourself for a fraction of the cost. All we did was walk around Kowloon and pick places to eat at.

Dennis was our assigned guide. It was like seeing and old Lost friend who took us around his town with knowledge, dedication and the clear objective of providing a wonderful time. Our guide, Malin, was wonderful. She has very good knowledge of the history and food of the area. We tasted local food from three different vendors, (a market, restaurant and street food at Temple Market) plus stopped at a bakery to try some of the local desserts. The variety was wonderful, and the food plentiful. Malin was a wonderful guide.

This was a great experience. We took the slightly unbeaten path to have an authentic experience in sampling the local fare. It was a walking tour, and our guide, Pinky, was the absolute best. She was very knowledgeable and patient as we took in the sights. We went to some local markets, and experienced “Fish Street”…where there were rows and rows of shops that sold fish ( and other pets) and all the supplies needed to care for them. She also shared valuable information about the culture of the city. We ended the tour with an ice cream dessert, and great pics to document our time in Hong Kong.

Our guide Benny taught us much about local foods and customs. We tried dishes customized to our preferences. I loved it all except for the herbal tea which was too bitter for my taste. Highly recommend taking this tour prior to dining in HongKong on your own.

Our guide Malin was excellent. She has lived in Hong Kong for over 5 years and knew Hong Kong & Kowloon well. She picked us up at our HK hotel and took us to dim sum in the IFC mall and then to the star ferry to cross the harbor. Once in Kowloon, she took us to bbq meat restaurant and dessert kiosks. She walked us through a couple of parks and a mosque which were of great interest to us. Helped us buy octopus cards for use while we were in hong kong and then back to our hotel.
