We had an excellent day today with Poncho. As it was raining, he drove us rather than a walking tour for which we were grateful. We heartily recommend his services.

Pancho was an amazing guide- super communicative before our trip and even helped me figure out local ferry schedule for our return the next day since we stayed overnight at Miyajima. Hw met us at the Shinkansen (at our car) and provided amazing service from beginning to end!
He is a local expert and his grandfather is a survivor of the atomic bomb. He was also able to speak from personal perspective about how local residents feel about Americans (no ill will) and how kids in Hiroshima have been taught since a young age to promote peace, and both perspectives on Japan’s role as well as US’ role and how both countries played a part. We weren’t sure how Americans would be received specifically in this part of Japan.
He also took us to have local okonomiyaki with oysters, and to 7-11 at my husband’s request for the smooth vending machine.
On Miyajima island, he arranged for our hotel shuttle to meet us at the port and take our luggage so we can tour with him without extra stuff. He took us to the famous floating Torii gate and then to Daoshoin temple- which we had never even heard of- but ended up being our favorite because of how beautiful and mystical it was!
Highly recommend Pancho!

A must book tour!!! Pancho is an amazing guide and speaks great English. He answers any questions you may have. The tour goes to one of the most famous temples in Japan. Then you go to peace park, see the A-bomb dome, and the epicenter. Thank you so much Pancho for the great day we had together!!! Best tour in Japan!!!

Excellent tour! Pancho met us at our hotel. We first toured ground zero, hotel was near, then travelled to Miyajima island. He knew the island well, took us to, and explained well, the religous and historical aspects of the temples very well. We were going to see it on our own. If we had, we would have missed 90% of the experience. Then good sushi lunch and a comprehensive tour of Peace Park. He put in very good perspective the effects of the bombing from a Japanese perspective without any editorialising. He was knowledgible, very pleasant, and fun to be with. The tour was well worth the price and we strongly recommend both taking the tour and recommend Pancho. Very good day!

Absolutely excellent! Pancho is a Hiroshima native who has a deep knowledge of all the sites we visited.
He is an excellent communicator who responds to emails and texts in a very timely fashion.
A member of our party had a knee injury and Pancho went to extra lengths to ensure a wheelchair was available for parts of the tour ( be prepared to do a good 12-15 k steps on this tour!) He listened carefully to our interests and planned a flawless tour. Be sure to ask him to take you to a Hiroshima Okonomiyaki restaurant: you won't regret it.
Overall we felt very lucky to have this really nice guy as our tour guide who really strived to ensure that our tour was enjoyable.. Highly recommend without reservations.

Guide was good but actual sites maybe took 2 hours. Lots of traveling time (local train, taxi, ferry). Does not take whole day. Worth seeing for what it was but heavy experience.

My husband and I take lot of tours and they are not all the same. But Pancho is one of our favorites. He was local so he knew all the stories, the people, the history, photo ops, best lunch and cake spot! He was genuine- and knew the history. It was a heavy subject but he lead us in all the right directions, the basement underneath the temple we are still talking about. And Mr. Nomura who survived in the basement …wow! So glad we found you Pancho- we wish you did more cities in Japan. Thank you

Pancho was superb, with excellent communication before the tour, welcoming us off the bullet train and providing a stimulating, informative and fascinating tour of Hiroshima, the museum and other important landmarks. In the afternoon he took us to Miyajima Island, it’s beautiful ancient temples and the Great Torii Gate
Pancho’s in-depth knowledge gave us something extra. He also, cleverly, never made us feel rushed and skillfully adapted plans during the day according to what we wanted to spend time on.
His immense experience in guiding shines through.

Pancho was our guide. He was excellent. Very informative and patient. He even showed us how to fold paper cranes. He took us to Miyajima Island and was so happy to show us the “secret” way to get off the ferry😆
