That is probably the best tour I have ever taken anywhere in the world!!! That says a lot as I travel for a living. Absolutely amazing experience. Our tour guide Shin is incredible, such charisma, energy, humor, and knowledge. The personal experience he shared about his family that were in the bomb zone truly resinated with me. It will never forget this experience.

Authentic up close way to see and hear about the real Hiroshima

    Ronald_M, Mar 2026
(No spoiler review!) Hiroshima is flat and ideal for cycling, so this tour is a great idea. The guide, Thomas, is a passionate storyteller who brought the history of Hiroshima to life with a focus on resilience, peace and the strength of the human spirit. I had read a lot about the history of Hiroshima, but visiting these places brought the past alive in a much more real, and emotionally convincing way. It's inspiring to listen to a guide who really cares about where he lives - this is much more than a job. The bike was fine, easy to cycle and I had a wonderful time. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to learn about the real Hiroshima from the heart though an authentic experience.

    Great storytelling and experience!

    Alison_T, Mar 2026
We had a wonderful tour of Hiroshima with Shin, despite not being able to cycle due to the rainy weather. His enthusiasm and great storytelling ability made it a beautiful and moving experience. Thank you Shin!

Great way to see Hiroshima and learn about things that would not be found in books. Guide was quite good. E-bike was excellent method to get around.

Very nice experience with a lot of knowledge

Great way to see Hiroshima and it's history

    Tracy_G, Nov 2025
This is an excellent tour. Toma, our guide was passionate about Hiroshima and very knowledgeable about its history. He took us on a memorable journey from the past to the present and Hiroshima's future. We got to see the horror mankind can inflict but also the strength and resilience of the people in moving forward. This is a fabulous E-Bike tour with many stops along the way to learn the history of Hiroshima. Highly recommend it.

Interesting and fun on the bikes: well worth it!

    Hilary_M, Nov 2025
Following a friend's recommendation we took the tour. Our guide Shin was most informative and had a good personality. Learnt a lot and saw a lot of sights. He was always careful with safety on the bikes. This is a great way to cover the Peace park and Memorial area.

    Fantastic bike tour

    Veronica_K, Nov 2025
Brilliant 3 hour cycle tour (electric bikes) through Hiroshima with a group of ten. Our tour guide Shin filled the morning with stories of both personal family experiences and facts. You leave feeling very moved and Shin's message will stay with you. An absolutely excellent tour. Thank you Shin!

    Humbled by Hiroshima

    David_P, Oct 2025
Hiroshima is a fascinating city and our e-bike tour with Thomas furnished us with a wealth of information about the history of the City, the bombing, the consequences and how it all played out. His knowledge was absolutely superb despite being a native of Marseille, rather than Hiroshima, and he really made our day complete - we couldn’t possibly have gained such a depth of information and understanding of the horrors of that August day in 1945 without him. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting to pack the most amount into a day, and see and learn about Hiroshima.

    Excellent tour

    Heather_B, Sep 2025
Very good tour, explanations, and personal stories. We learned a lot and saw a lot of the sights being on bikes. Highly recommended.

    Fun times

    Shin Rocks our Hiroshima Tour

    Kana was a great tour...

    Morgan_M, Jun 2025
Kana was a great tour guide. She was very knowledgeable and has a very good clear speaking voice. She answered all of my questions. She took us on a lovely bike ride along the river and throughout Hiroshima and each stop was memorable. The stories she shared at each stop helped portray not only the reality and truth of the disaster but also the hope that was fostered by the people of Hiroshima during rebuilding.

Hiroshima by E-bike: a powerful and unforgettable journey

    Lili_T, Jun 2025
This 3-hour e-bike tour of Hiroshima was hands down the most powerful and memorable experience of our trip to Japan. Riding through the city on comfortable electric bikes gave us the freedom to cover a lot of ground while truly connecting with Hiroshima’s past and present. Our guide, Mo-ei, was exceptional — not only knowledgeable and engaging, but also deeply personal in the way she shared Hiroshima’s story. What made it truly moving were the stories of her grandparents, survivors of the bombing, who are no longer with us. Through her words, their memories lived on — adding an emotional depth that made this tour unlike any other. We began at the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park, and from there we visited landmarks such as Hiroshima Castle, the serene Hiroshimagokoku Shrine, Central Park, and the Aioi Bridge, known as the target of the atomic bomb. Ground zero, however, was right above a hospital clinic, of which today is still one run by the same family of doctors. One of the most moving parts of the tour was hearing the story of the Hiroshima Red Cross Hospital, where the wounded were cared for in the aftermath, and how hope was rekindled just three days after the bombing when the Hiroshima Railway managed to get the trams running again. That story stayed with us... Fast forward to the present, the Motoyasu River path and Higashisenda Park gave us a chance to experience the peaceful beauty of modern Hiroshima. The tour’s highlights included the trees that miraculously survived the blast, the Eternal Flame, the Axis of Peace, and a deeply emotional stop at the memorial dedicated to Sadako Sasaki, the 14-year-old girl who died of leukemia from radiation exposure. This tour wasn’t just educational — it was soul-stirring. It helped us understand not only what was lost, but how the people of Hiroshima found strength, dignity, and hope in the face of unimaginable tragedy. If you do one thing in Hiroshima, make it this tour. It will stay with you long after the pedals stop turning.

Unforgettable and Deeply Moving - A Hiroshima Must-Do with Moe

    Kate_Y, May 2025
We took a 3-hour peace cycling tour in Hiroshima with Moe, and it was without a doubt the most meaningful and unforgettable experience of our entire Japan trip. Moe was incredibly kind, professional, and deeply knowledgeable. What made the tour so personal and powerful was that all four of her grandparents lived through the Hiroshima bombing, and she shared their stories with such care, respect, and emotional depth. It added a level of connection and perspective that you just can’t get from a museum or guidebook. The entire experience was beautifully paced and thoughtfully planned. Moe even gave us excellent recommendations for local restaurants, adding a lovely touch of hospitality to the tour. If you’re hesitant about the biking part - don’t worry. The bikes are electric and super easy to ride, and the routes are relatively flat and uncrowded. Even if you’re not confident on a bike, you’ll feel completely comfortable. Our group had only four people, which made it feel intimate and personal, like a private conversation rather than a tour. This is not just a sightseeing experience. It is something that stays with you, long after the tour ends. We’re so grateful to Moe for sharing her city and her story with us. An absolute must-do in Hiroshima.

Great day trip option for Hiroshima

    Gus_T, Apr 2025
Gentle pace ride that gave us an understanding of the town but good focus on the Peace park elements

    Outstanding Bicycle Tour

    David_R, Apr 2025
Very moving bicycle tour of the historic sites of Hiroshima. Our guide Shin is a family descendent of a bombing survivor and his perspective made the tour very memorable. He is a great communicator and will take you to some interesting sites you would likely miss on your own.

    Must do tour

    Sonya_A, Apr 2025
The tour gave insight into the history of Hiroshima and how lives changed on that fateful day- Shin our guide was very informative and shared with us how it shaped his life

    Fantastic Historical tour of Hiroshima

    Ann_L, Mar 2025
More was our guide. She was fantastic and gave a great historical as well as family experience of living in Hiroshima. The tour was curated well and gave us a deeper understanding of the city but also of the devastation of the bomb.

An Absolute Must Do Tour - Definitely 10/10

    Margo_M, Mar 2025
Yesterday Russell and I took the return train journey from Kyoto to Hiroshima specifically to do the 3 Hour Peace Cycling Tour. This was one of the best decisions we have made whilst searching tour options whilst in Japan. Our experience with Shin was nothing less than outstanding. We learnt so much! It was emotional, moving and real. I feel that this tour experience takes you a step further in understanding humanity. Cycling around added another dimension as we saw more, - stopping to talk or point out a feature. Just book this tour
you’ll never regret it.

    Amazing bike tour with Shin

    Andrzej_K, Jan 2025
We absolutely loved our 3 hour guided cycling tour of Hiroshima with Shin. The E-bikes were very comfortable. Shin was so knowledgable and told us many stories of his life and family around Hiroshima, including from the time of the atomic bomb. His English was flawless. Amazing experience.

Must do tour while in Hiroshima

    Michael_F, Dec 2024
Although Shin’s lively personality made the bike tour informative and enjoyable, it was his personal connection to August 6, 1945 that made the tour memorable. Thank you for sharing your unique insight!

    Our Greart Hiroshima Experience

    Greg_E, Nov 2024
Shin was excellent in his tour and knowledge across a sphere of information and history across the Hiroshima experience. Very sobering to hear his family story and some still alive today and how the community honour their people directly impacted by the bombing. We travelled with a Canadian couple who were very accommodating and made for a very enjoyable three hour tour. We only had one issue, the ebikes are under sized and took away some of the gloss on an otherwise great tour. The school children by the hundreds were on school excursions and are a credit to the Japanese people for their excellent behaviour, assistance and total respect.....not a mobile phone was sighted.!

    Shin is awesome

    Jonathan_D, Nov 2024
Shin is the most loquacious, personable guide that you could ever wish for. He showed us a deeply personal side to the effect of the bomb on him and his family and the long term effects that it has had on the entire population.

    Hiroshima Peace Cycling Tour

    Sandra_M, Jul 2024
My son and I joined a tour with Shin, whose Mother was a few months from being born when the atomic bomb was dropped. He shared many personal anecdotes that truly helped us understand the immediate and long term effects of the bomb and he took us to spots we wouldn’t have known about that helped to further colour in the devastation and destruction suffered by the residents of Hiroshima. We will never forget Shin, his family and his story and are very grateful that we were able to take this tour with him.

    Heartfelt tour of Hiroshima
