Your Helsinki hop-on hop-off bus route starts at Senate Square, but you can board at any of the stops between 10am and 4pm each day. Read the itinerary for a full list. If the weather is good, make the most of the sunshine and take a seat on the open-air top deck.
As you ride, put on your audio headset to listen to commentary about the sights that line the route. Hear the history behind the rock-carved Temppeliaukio Church, and learn about the Sibelius Monument that’s dedicated to symphonic composer Jean Sibelius.

- Cruise Passengers:
- During the warm months of the year, cruise passengers arriving at Katajanokka can walk down to Senate Square in around 10 - 15 minutes
- Cruise passengers arriving at Hernesaari can hop-on the buses at Stops 7 or 8. There are 3 terminals at this dock (LHD, LHC and LHB) and it's only a 200m walk to the buses parked outside from each of them
- Customers who arrive at Olympia Terminal can hop-on at Stop 3
- Saturday 17th May: Due to the Marathon taking place, there will be detours between 9:40am - 10:30am and 2:15pm - 3:15pm as Mannerheimintie will be closed between the Opera House and Parliament House. Stops 16 and 17 will be missed during these departures

Book directly with company. It's cheaper and you can negotiate the price on site. We decided to book this bus instead of booking tours with the cruise line. The hop on hop off bus comes right to the port and is a few steps away from the ship.

When in Helsinki Do Not book The Big Red Bus!!! They start late and are very few running. Make sure to book City Sight Seeing Bus. It will pick you right up at the cruise port.

We had such a bad experience with this company. Every bus was horrible. The headphones did not work. You had to constantly adjust the plug so you could hear. The information was lacking. Wish we did not waist the money in this company.

I typically try the Hop-On, Hop-Off bus in each new city I visit, to get an introduction to the layout and all of the important sites. This bus was on time and completed the route in the 1.5 hours listed, and provided a good overview of the city. Of note, I did not get off the bus (due to my own time restrictions), so I cannot comment on wait times in between busses. The only detraction was the audio - it did not work for the 1st 2 stops, prompting passengers to notify the driver. The driver fixed the problem, but be wary that this can happen and to notify the driver immediately. Also, the 1st bus stop is not adjacent to a building with facilities. If you need to use the bathroom, you will have to walk for 5 minutes to a public toilet across from Senate Square. Thus, plan for at least 15 minutes if you need a restroom break prior to the trip, as there are no facilities on board.

My daughter and I usually do walking tours, but with limited time and distances in Helsinki, we opted for the bus. It was fine, but we still prefer our walking tours of cities to get more historical information.

The excursion itself was a good one being able to hop on and hop off to explore. The only problem during the time my family was there it was a holiday and so most everything was closed so we were unable to explore a lot of things. I do feel it would be a good experience if everything was open.

I booked the tickets on September 19th for 2 adults to sightsee on September 26. It was confirmed and charged. There was no tour as tours ended September 21st. It should not been available in the calendar and they should have never confirmed and accepted payment.

Pick up was very close to the cruise line dock.The route was quite extensive and even though we didn't even enough time to get off at a lot of the stops, we were very satisfied with this Hop-On Hop-Off tour. Narration was clear and comprehensive and I would recommend taking this tour in Helsinki.
