Our guide for the first two days was Khu and she did a great job of communicating with us, letting us know what was happening next and giving us interesting insights into everything we were seeing. Khu was very clear and patient about answering questions and explaining everything to us. The landscapes were beautiful and we got many great photos of the rice fields, mountains and scenic villages. Our home stay bungalow was really charming and fun. Our hosts were very nice and cooked wonderful food for us. Our guide the last day was Chang. She did a wonderful job of taking us through the bamboo forest and the last village. We really enjoyed the scenic town and got lots of wonderful photos. We had asked Khu about buying real silver jewelry. She asked Chang to introduce us to a silversmith who lives in the village. We were able to speak with him and buy some rings. It was very thoughtful of them to help us find what we were looking for. I would definitely do this trip again!

Nice place, good orga, disappointing food and pushy locals

Yann_P, Apr 2026
Generally good organisation, you are well taken care of and do as advertised, it is smooth, the guides are nice. Food is disappointing, they order for you really basic stuff. Locals being very pushy on buying from them gets annoying.

Great hike and our guide...

Great hike and our guide Su was amazing! The bus that brought us from Hanoi thought could be better, it was very uncomfortable.

Three days hiking in Villages

Veronica_S, Jan 2026
Cat was our tour guide over three days and was wonderful. It was cold and misty the three days but accommodations occurred to help make our experience as wonderful as possible. Any questions I had were answered to ease any concerns I might have.

Amazing trip

Marion_V, Nov 2025
Everything was absolutely perfect and more than expected. We particularly love the kindness of our guide Dao, that we sincerely appreciate.

Wonderful experience

Pius_N, Oct 2025
We had a wonderful experience during this tour. On arriving Sapa we had lunch and visited the Cat Cat Village which has a nice atmosphere. We went on a longer hike on the next day which offered beautiful scenery and we also got to meet lovely Hmong people. We had plenty of rest breaks and the hike went really well - thank you to the Hmong people who helped us along the way when the terrain became a little harder from time to time. The homestay was enjoyable with a special feel staying in a bungalow albeit the basic facilities. The second hike on the last day before leaving Sapa was just as good as well. Our guide Mu with Vietnam Travel Top spoke English very well and was pleasant and informative. Thank you again Mu!

Journey Through Sapa: An adventure of Scenic Trails and Cultural Immersion

Aravind_P, Dec 2024
Finished my 3D- 2N trek in Sapa with a homestay, exploring Cat Cat Village, Lao Chai, Ta Van, and the serene Bamboo Forest. Guided by Miy, who was incredibly knowledgeable, fantastic and friendly, the trek offered breathtaking views of terraced rice fields, lush greenery, and local villages. The moderate trails were both rewarding and challenging, with misty weather adding a magical touch. The homestay in Ta Van was cozy and welcoming, providing a glimpse into local culture, while the meals were delicious and hearty. Overall, it was an unforgettable experience, perfect for nature and culture enthusiasts!

Perfect !!

It was wonderful! Chang was really amazing and kind. She let us see a lot of Thinks. The roads we walken where really good.

Great walk through the mountains & rice fields

Jodie_S, Aug 2024
It was well worth the trip out there. The sleeper bus was great. It’s fascinating to see the way people live in Sapa. Just be prepared for the hard sell by the group of ladies following along behind the tour. My only tip is if you see something you want to buy, get it. You won’t come across it again & the ladies won’t have it. I regret not buying the hand woven/dyed scarf.

Fantastic experience

We had an amazing time. Our guide Su was fantastic. She was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about Sapa. We would highly recommend to anyone who loves hiking. 5 stars

Beautiful trip with really nice local people

Marcel_B, Apr 2024
The trip was wonderful. Especially the hike from Sapa to the village where the homestay is. Our guide was nice as all the people there. Can recommend this tour, it’s totally worth it.

Great experience trekking through Sapa

Aisling_T, Apr 2024
We had a great time on our tour with our wonderful guide Su! The weather was a bit foggy on our first day so we didn’t get any of the views but thankfully it had cleared up by the second day and we got to see the stunning terraced rice paddies. Su was really sweet, friendly and informative. The trekking wasn’t hard but it was mucky and slippy so wear good shoes - there are local women who will walk with you to help you at the slippiest points but have in mind that they will then expect you to buy their handcrafted goods so bring some cash! Overall, would recommend this tour!

Fun trip

Kevin_H, Mar 2024
We did this tour in a group of six, accomodation was great, beautiful view and Mu was great, friendly and helpful. I would recommend this tour to anyone visiting Sa Pa.

Great Sapa hiking trip

Thomas_K, Mar 2024
The hikes were great, very beautiful! Our tour guide, Sú, was extremely helpful, and very knowledgeable. Hikes were very muddy, so bring poles / very good hiking shoes/boots. Locals will try to help you along the way, and then ask that you buy their goods / tip them. The sleeper bus was actually very comfortable. Definitely try to leave the luggage you don’t need back at your hotel.

Good tour. . . would definitely take this tour!

Marcia_E, Nov 2023
This was a delightful trip with a few little items to consider. The bus was a sleeper and was very comfortable. The driver spoke no English so when he made stops we had no idea that they were just for a bathroom break (2 each way). Our hotel provided us with a breakfast to go. It was a 6 hour journey. Once at Sapa a tour guide met us. She spoke excellent English. We proceeded to walk from Sapa down the mountain towards the valley. It was a crowded gauntlet of shops all the way down. The steps were endless! Bring really good walking shoes. Also a warm jacket. It was surprisingly cool. We ended up in a place where there was a waterfall and some entertainment. Then we hiked up to our hotel which was very nice. After breakfast the next morning we started off on a hike through the rice terraces up and down. The path was steep in places and quite narrow. This is not a path for those who are physically unfit. A walking stick is very helpful. It was quite slippery where there were wet areas. There were local women who walked with us and were quite helpful. We bought their wares at the end of the walk. . . of course! We stayed in a "homestay" motel that was rustic, but very nice. Our luggage was delivered and waiting for us when we arrived in the late afternoon. Our guide was with us each day. She was very attentive and did a great job! The next morning was another hike to a waterfall with similar terrain. We departed after lunch to head back to Hanoi. While we had hotel pickup to get to the meeting place on departure, there was no transportation to a hotel at the end of the trip. When we reached Hanoi the bus dropped us and our luggage and we had to take taxis to our hotels. We had to pay for our beverages everywhere we went (as stated in the description). We had a wonderful time and I and my friends would recommend this trip highly!

The hike was great, got...

Very good price for value trip, very good stays

Pierre_M, Nov 2023
Very good price for value tour, I really recommend the tour. Especially, our big thanks to our guide May who was always helpful and super nice!

Loved the area and the hikes

Marion_B, Oct 2023
Our guide Ku was wonderful, we really enjoyed her commentary about local life. The accommodations were good, the scenery was beautiful and the swim at the waterfall was totally awesome. The only reason for 4 stars were the very aggressive local women trying to sell you things. They insisted in "helping" along the trail and then applied heavy guilt trips if you didn't buy from every single "helper" ( we bought one expensive thing from one woman and a couple of little things but then said no to the others). It really spoiled the experience of interacting with the locals.

Impressive hike despite bad food and poor communication

Ansel_B, Sep 2023
Pluses: + Comfortable bus ride to Sapa + Spectacular hikes through indigenous villages and rice paddies + Nice guide and homestay host Negatives: + Area is starting to suffer tourism bloat + Food was terrible--I say this after two weeks eating delicious food throughout Vietnam, from streets to restaurants. But what was served on this tour was a huge dissapointment. Nor was there was a choice of dishes, which I wouldn't object to if the food was good, but it wasn't. And after a long hike you want a good meal! All you could specify was what protein you ate--fish/eggs/meat/etc. It was like ordering airplane food, with comparable quality. + The English of the guide was poor, making it a mental struggle to understand and a challenge to communicate. + Villagers hovered around the group throughout the hike peddling their goods or socializing with an expectation of pay-off, which they explicitly stated. While I donated as I could, there were so many and their solications relentless that it got a bit much over the course of the entire hike.

Life changing trip!

Kenzie_N, Sep 2023
Su is the best guide. She is very kind and sweet. She answered our questions with a smile on her face. Very friendly. She helped, and cared about everyone. She took us hiking all around and we saw the most incredible sights. Sapa is gorgeous, and she helped us see some of the best sights. I will never forget this beautiful and amazing trip. From the nature, to the culture and villages, it is a must see. Su was very patient and let us stop as much as we wanted to look at things and take pictures. She took great care of us. It was a much steeper/ harder hike then I expected- so wear good hiking shoes!

Fun Sapa Village Tour

Cesar_M, Jul 2023
Zi was our tour guide. I was with her for 3 days. She took us to beautiful places and she was very knowledgeable. I enjoyed my tour. The hotel was nice and the homestay was really good. I appreciate all the hard work. I recommend this tour to anyone. I will come back to Sapa to see Zi.

Great Sapa trek but check the weather

Sarah_M, Dec 2022
We did the 3 day 2 night Trekking tour in Sapa. We got picked up from our hotel by bus and got driven to Sapa. We made two rest stops so it took about 6 hours to get there. We were dropped off in the centre and Nam found us and brought us to a coffee shop for lunch before checking into a nice hotel. Then our guide Sue met us at the hotel and We did our first trek to Cat Cat Village (very cool) on our first day. Second night was in a lovely homestay and they transported our large backpacks from the hotel to the homestay while we trekked there. We went in December so it was pretty cold compared to other parts of Vietnam, but fine for Trekking, and there was hot water for showers at the homestay and hotel. Because of the time of year the next two treks were extremely muddy/slippery, so we had to borrow gum boots from our guide for an extra 30-50 VND per day. Worth it for the amount of mud. Another bummer was that we couldn't see any views from Sapa due to fog. Most of the Trekking was lower down where we could see better but still probably would have been better in clearer weather. Sue said May to Aug is ideal. We still enjoyed it and were lucky not to have rain. We also heard other folks had fog all the way down just a couple days earlier which would have been disappointing. Overall the tour is amazing and our guide Sue was fantastic! I would just look into the weather before making the long trip to Sapa

wear gumboots for slippery walk

Vera_S, May 2022
pick-up location was la mensa. awesome transfer bus with beds and wifi. great tour guide called vue. hotel (the view hotel) is royal - very great food and helpful and friendly staff. bring gumboots for walk or purchase them for 30K Dong at homestay (tracks are very slippery and muddy with sneakers). homestay also awesome (food, people, bungalow). NEGATIVE: on the way back to sapa to catch the transfer bus, we drove in a taxi. the taxi driver asked for money even though it said all transfers were included.

in Ordnung, aber sehr touristisch

Stefan_Z, Apr 2024
