Highly Aeronautic Alex the Food Genius

Our food tour guide, Alex, showed us an excellent first evening in Hanoi. He was fun and informative and took us to sample many excellent authentic Vietnamese dishes. He catered the tour to our tastes and interests, from Bunh Xeo to Egg Coffee and more. I highly recommend Alex and his tour!

Acceptable food tour

I saw this available at a reasonable price through Viator so thought to give it a try for the family since local food is still best to be done by the locals. We had 3 guides for 7 of us. Duration of food tour is 3 hours, and we choose to begin our food tour at 1130am. We got a chance to walk around and see old quarter as well as food tasting. In total, we tried 4 types of hanoi food, including desserts and egg coffee. The food really really good and without the local guides, we will never know where to find these local foods as they are at places we never thought we will want to walk in. Here are some of my feedbacks, I feel 3 guides for our group is not necessary. Also, our food tour duration is 3 hours but it ended earlier. As for food, we only tried local salad, some kind of side dish, desserts and egg coffee. I think we are still missing something.... Anyway, overall experience with the tour was good, if you want to give local food a try and not always walking in to a restaurant.
