Enjoy a 2-day cruise at World Heritage–listed Halong Bay, famous for its towering karst formations. Sail aboard a traditional junk past floating villages and craggy islets, and enjoy kayaking or snorkeling in the emerald waters. Relax on the sundeck while you watch a cooking demo or try your hand at squid fishing. You’ll visit Sung Sot (Amazing) Cave, accompanied by a knowledgeable guide. An outstanding trip, from collection at our hotel in Hanoi to arrival at Halong Bay. Long and the bus driver were very friendly enabling our journey to be comfortable and pleasant. We were warmly welcomed by Dan and the crew on board the Hera Classic Boutique Cruise. Dan was the perfect host, very humerous and professional, taking care of everyone during the 2 days on board. Although the sites were busy, the trips were well organised and informative. The Food quality and presentation was exceptional allowing us to discover new tastes and flavours. We felt taken care of and would highly recommend this trip, as it certainly exceeded our expectations.

Tourist Trap - Not the Spectacular Boat Pictured

This is a tourist trap. Trip was not on the boat pictured. So incredibly upset and disappointed. Splashed out and booked this trip based on the reviews and the spectacular boat pictured with floor to ceiling windows, sweeping balconies, modern lush decor and gorgeous bar. They put me on a cheaper trip advertised on this site Halong Bay Crown Legend Cruise. Barely spoke English. Provided no safety briefing or instructions or information for the tours. Tours were super short and super crowded. Trip itself just 40 minutes from the coast with 50 other boats all doing the same 30 minute tours. Bottled water not provided. Tried telling them it was not the boat I booked and no one could understand English. Emailed Charming Vietnam Travel. No apology, no refund, no compensation. Told me it was an equivalent boat they put me on. It was not even close with Chinese decor, poky windows, a cramped tiny balcony, no floating villages, no knowledgeable English speaking guide. Transfer from Hanoi was on a super delayed (1 hour) super cramped ‘booze party cruise’ bus from the 70s.

Nice but crowded area, with many nice islands and scenery. Bad road and bustrip, with several scary moments. Not a plesant ride. The boat and the guide was very nice and the crew caring and helpfully. Bad weather and fod tog the glans of the trip. The best time is from Oktober to Decembertowards what theguide told us. Nice and helpfull guide, who gave a lot of information og was caring all the way and with nice attitude.

El barco estaba bien y la comida también, el staff muy atento (casi nadie habla ni entiende inglés) y agradecemos que de muy buena fe nos hicieron una decoración especial por ser nuestra luna de miel. Sin embargo, el bus que te lleva y trae es un drama, si quieres divertirte con esta experiencia, definitivamente no es la opción. Una vez terminada la cena (tipo 20/20:30hrs si llega) ya esperan te vayas a dormir para iniciar las actividades temprano al día siguiente. Nos dijeron había karaoke y actividades por la noche, pero por mucho que preguntamos (nosotros junto a 4 personas más) se hicieron los locos sin más Fuimos al deck a ver si aparecía alguien a servirnos algún cocktail, nos quedamos planchados escuchando la fiesta de los barcos vecinos, mientras el nuestro era el barco fantasma.... Literalmente, no nos quedó de otra que irnos a dormir a las 22hrs... Para lo que cobran por aquí, mejor pillarlo directamente en Hanoi que es mucho más económico y tienes más y mejores opciones. Lamento el review, porque el tour operador fue muy amable, pero es lo que hay... No repetiríamos...
