The hike to Roque Nublo is simply amazing. Almost from another world. Miguel was the guide and he is simply amazing. He is very professionnal and can explain about fauna and flora and on top he is very funny. All the group had a blast. Thanks a lot for the great experience.
We had an amazing time on our hike with Miguel! He was very friendly, and made the whole experience really enjoyable. His passion for the area, nature and his island was clear, and he made sure everyone felt comfortable along the way. Would highly recommend! Aurelie
Our guide was excellent with plenty of knowledge and hospitality. Ideal weather for hiking as it was December. Our 11 year old son also really enjoyed the hiking. The view was amazing. It was a wonderful and valuable experience. Worth it!
The host cancelled the excursion at 6pm the day before, citing a forecast of rain.
In fact the forecast showed only a 15% chance of rain. The day itself was the warmest and driest for several weeks according to a local.
However had it rained I imagine it would have been the lighest of showers (as had been the case the day before) and nowhere near sufficient to render the excursion either unsafe or unenjoyable.
There was no response from the host to my message requesting a refund. I had to go out of my own way and contact Viator. I now need to wait three to seven working days for my refund to come through. Terrible all round.

On the island, we often experience microclimates, where it can be raining in one area while the sun is shining in another. However, when a rain alert is issued, we’re legally required to cancel any mountain activities, and we take safety very seriously. It’s unfortunate that you feel differently about this. We’re sorry the cancellation for your safety caused such disappointment. Next time, we’ll make sure not to cancel, even if it puts you at risk—if that’s what you prefer. Best regards.
Didn't turn up. Waited an hour and a half. Very disappointing.

We spent a super nice day hiking with Miguel around and to roque Nublo. The weather was perfect. Since we were a small group and not to slow there even was time for an extension
The hike offered a lot different spectacular views.
Miguel was very friendly and explained a lot.
We really recommend that experience.

I don’t know why you sending this to me. You must know that the hike was cancelled, due to strong wind, which of course is ok. Still waiting for refund though

I have to tell you that sometimes we have to cancel due to the weather because there is wind, rain or heat and our activities depend on them. Het was best een pittige hike maar dankzij de uitstekende begeleiding van gids Miguel voor iedereen haalbaar! Hij zorgt ook altijd voor de vrolijke noot en sfeer in de groep!

Éramos cinco en total en el grupo y nos lo pasamos genial. Roque Nublo merece la pena por los paisajes y nuestro guía Miguel se adaptó según las necesidades del grupo (en nuestro caso, nos habló en español e inglés y nos contestó cualquier pregunta que teníamos). Tambíen me prestó un anorak cuando me entró frío al llegar al Roque y de verdad se lo aprecio!
Hay que tener en cuenta los horarios. Aunque la duracíon del senderismo sea de aproximadamente 3h, aconsejo planificar casi día completo. Las 3h no incluyen la recogida y la vuelta -- que pueden llegar a añadir más de 2h a la experiencia -- ni incluyen ciertos improvisamientos (por ejemplo, nos paramos a tomar un café a la ida y a la vuelta). En Canarias la gente es relajada así que hay que ir con esa mentalidad y no dejar correr las prisas.
