Our favorite tour!

Patty_C, Jul 2023
We took a walking Rome history & food tour from Laura and Carlo very recently. We absolutely loved the tour, we highly recommend them; they are wonderful guides and they are two lovely people! Laura and Carlo introduced us to so many interesting aspects that we probably wouldn’t have discovered on our own. Their warmth and hospitality made the tour feel like a leisurely stroll with dear friends through the heart of Rome. It was evident that they both share a passion for Roman history, architecture, and food. This was a labor of love for them and we were fortunate to share in it for a few hours. There are countless details and cherished memories from our time with them that it would take many paragraphs to fully convey our experience. Laura is a university educated architectural historian, and with her extensive knowledge she shared much about Rome’s past and architecture. As a seasoned chef, Carlo picked out some of the best restaurants and shops along the way to provide us with samples of some of the most delicious Italian food. This has significantly increased our love of Italian cuisine. Laura and Carlo, we look forward to seeing you again, thank you for a wonderful experience, it was the highlight of our time in Rome.

Must do tour

Really wonderful experience. Laura has a great understanding of the local architecture. Claudio knows the local food. Together they are great. They were particularly great with our teenage children and elderly mom. We went a little over time and Claudio continued the tour with a smile, I highly recommend this tour. A highlight of our trip for sure.

Perfect “Rome in a day” Tour

Laura and Carlos were the best duo! We really felt like we got a great perspective of Roman food, culture, and history. Amazing way to try different foods and hit a lot of the historic sites.

Perfect in every way

We signed up for this at the last minute and were so glad we were able to take the tour. The guide walked us around the main areas of Rome tasting food relating to the area and history of the area. Talked about the intersection of food and different times in Romes history. Excellent!!

Best value and lots of fun!

This trip is mazing! Our tour guide is Carlo and Laura. Both are very knowledgeable and entertaining. Meet up at the Obelisk in Piazza Popolo was on time. Smiling faces greeted us. We were nervous being our first time and scared. Laura immediately made us comfortable. Carlo's choices of traditional food are on point. Wonderful tastes and culture story behind each food. He was very patient with us as the group starts to wonder a bit with many attractions, but he kept feeding us! Lastly a great service about Rome history. Laura as an architect was able to breakdown history in a simple easy to understand with some humor and fun! I really love this tour and was highlight of our trip in Rome. This was last minute add to our trip and did not disappoint for the value/cost of the tour! I highly recommend.

Personalized Tour - Like Having Friends Show You Around a New City

Miranda_G, Oct 2022
We were able to meet up with Carlo and Cindy at the agreed upon spot very easily. We were very surprised when we realized it was a personal tour, no other couples/families, which made it that much more interactive and personalized in nature. If you are doing a morning tour (10am), I would recommend skipping breakfast. There were 4-5 stops along the way of delicious snacks to try (espresso & croissants, street food sampler, suppli, etc). You cover a lot of distance during the trip, getting to just chat and see all of the major monuments/sights within 3 hours. Cindy and Carlo were very willing to take photos and ensure you had the most memorable time. Overall, highly recommend for a fun and relaxing way to see/experience Rome.

Thank you so much Miranda for your wonderful review

Best Part of Vacation

I cannot say enough good things about Carlos and the amazing tour he provided. We had done several other tours throughout Europe but no others had provided the same level of personality and fun. The evening provided us the ability to see all of the hot spots in our short stay in Rome. We received a good overview of history through relatable stories, not long readings from Wikipedia. Seeing them at night was one of the best parts. Everything looked amazing and there weren't any crowds! Carlos provided an amazing guide giving us great insight into Rome such as restaurants and places we needed to go. His assistant kept a running dialog that helped us learn more about Italy today, not just in the past. The food was amazing! We had chauterie, pizza, pork sandwiches, a drink from a fountain like a local, and of course gelato! I will recommend this to everyone I know, so long as they like a 3-hour hike! Thank you so much for the amazing experience.
