Rabat for history and polotics

Rabat is the political capital of Morocco and is known as one of the cleanest cities in Africa. There are many historical sites to see and is home to King Mohammed and his multiple palaces. We saw everything from ancient ruins, to a Kasbah reminiscent of Santorini, to a central Medina that is much more manageable than those found in Marrakech and Fes. The King’s presence in the city keeps Rabat looking very clean and fresh and leads to a large military presence throughout the city. Our guide Radwan was very knowledgeable about the history of the sites we saw as well as a conscientious and safe driver. He even stopped at his favorite roadside coffee stand between Fes and Rabat and treated us to an espresso!

We had great time at Rabat with my mum! The driver Ibrahim was friendly and dropped us at the most interesting and popular places to see in the city and also we had some free time in the medina at the end. He took us from the Riad and we arrived on time to have plenty of time at each site, recommended!

We had a lovely relaxing day seeing all the sights in Rabat , our driver / tour guide Mohammed was professional, friendly helpful and let us decide the order of I itinerary , he recommended a lovely restaurant for lunch which was delicious.
