La Bufadora is a fun outing in Ensenada, especially if you are looking for something to do while in port during a cruise. The market on the road leading down to the blowhole is very crowded but fun for souvenir shopping. Our guide was very friendly and accommodating. The description said the vehicle would come stocked with drinks but it did not so be ready to purchase your own. Also, bring cash for restrooms and other purchases.

Excellent time with Alex! Provided lots of local information on the area. Stopped for a delicious meal for authentic tacos. We had a handicapped person with a walker and all went well. Enjoyment for the whole family.

Alex picked us up at the Port as promised and shared not just La Bufadora, but his understanding of and love for the city of Ensenada. His relationship with his city made the experience so much richer. By far, one my best tours because of the stellar tour guide. If I worked for Viator, I'd have tshirts printed that say "Ask for Alex!"

The actual location is at the edge of a small strip of shops that is about a 30 minute drive from the port. People selling a very wide range of souvenirs, snacks, and food of every price range.
Our guide was very friendly, fun, knowledgeable, and overall great guy!

We had an amazing experience with our private driver in Ensenada through Viator — Alex Aguilar was incredible. From the moment he picked us up, everything was smooth, comfortable, and stress-free. He was professional, kind, and made our whole group feel taken care of.
We were celebrating my mother-in-law’s 80th birthday, and Alex truly made it special. He was patient, attentive, and made sure she was comfortable the entire time, which meant so much to us.
He also shared great local recommendations and made the whole day feel relaxed and enjoyable. If you’re booking in Ensenada, definitely ask for Alex Aguilar — highly recommend!

I have mixed feelings about this experience. I was hoping for more of a tour where the guide explains the history and points of interest of the area, but it was more of just a nice, comfortable van ride to the Bufadora. The driver was nice but didn't really explain much about the area which is what I prefer a tour to be.
Also, I didn't enjoy the overly aggressive vendors at the Bufadora marketplace. Some people might like this experience, but I viewed it as more of having to traverse a guantlet to get to the nice viewing area at the end of the road.

The blow hole is worth seeing. No time given for meeting up with the guide and it was difficult to locate the guide. Also our guide did not speak much English. Overall we enjoyed the visit although it could have been better organised.

Basically a taxi ride. We were dropped off at La Bufadora and then took us to tacos after then back to the ship. Driver didn’t talk much.

Based on comments made by reviewers before booked we checked for when high tide was expected. We were within an hour of the high tide which made for some significant waves and splashes.

Our tour guide, Alex, was very friendly and fun and shared a lot of interesting Information about Ensenada with us.
The disappointment was the vehicle (yellow taxi cab) that we rode in. it wasn’t very comfortable. It was a hot day and the air conditioner barely worked.

Alex is great, we drove to the blowhole on the way he pointed out many places with names and background on them. Be careful though he will quiz you on the info on the way back and if you get it wrong you have to sing. We had a blast, but poor Alex's ears are probably still bleeding!

Our guide Alex was fantastic!! Our ticket listed the wrong meeting place and we gave up after searching for over 1 hour (no one, even policemen, that we asked could help us find it). Finally I found cell service and saw Alex had tried to contact me 11 times!!! When I texted him, he immediately made arrangement to pick us up and give us the tour. He was a great and safe driver and explained a lot about the area we drove thru. He even took pictures of my husband and I at LA Bufadora (unfortunately we forgot to give him contact info to send them to us). Anyone that waits for over 1 1/2 hours after you miss the Original start time of your tour deserves 5 + stars.

Alex was very nice and knowledgeable. He made a personalized sign just for me.
Alex is an expert in everything, from cars, motorcycles, housing, agriculture, and fishing.
Alex also is a comedian. He has many hilarious jokes, especially the duck joke.

I’ve visited la Bufadora many times (this was my 5th), but this was my first time on an official tour, and this place is really a must visit if you come to Ensenada. I would highly recommend this, as Alex was an awesome tour guide for the trip!

The photos of the water spouting may be exaggerated. I think the tide may have some effect. We did not see much water spouting up at all. That being said, we had a fantastic time in the "market" walking to the blowhole. The photos at the ENSENADA sign are some of my favorite from the trip.

Disappointing that there was no geyser due to low tide. Apparently this geyser happens only once in a while, based on tide and is not a guarantee.. this was not mentioned anywhere.. complete waste of money and time..
