This is an amazing family owned business. Communication was great and we felt very safe. I highly recommend booking for a personalized experience.
We did not get to participate in the beach horseback riding as we missed our shuttle. There was no taxi or other transportation available to get to the location and although the website states there are two pick up times the operator communicates that this was not true. We walked around Ensenada for two hours trying to find transportation to the location without success. Even the tour operator could not reach a taxi service to get us there. I was hoping for at least a partial refund as we paid for the experience and shuttle but it was declined. We did not partition either the shuttle or riding experience.
Crystal was great. The horses were beautiful and well mannered. I had a blast. I would recommend to anyone, even if you haven't rode before.
This is a wonderful experience! Horse back riding on the beach is so peaceful and relaxing! This is the second time I’ve used dessert trails and I highly recommend this business. Thank you Crystal!
I am a very experienced rider. I was given a horse with spunk and courage which is exactly what I wanted. I was able to ride into the ocean at my own will. If I’m ever in Ensenada again, I will definitely do this ride again
Horses are trained for this ride. You just ride and they will take you. More instructions for those with no riding experience would be helpful but even those with no experience did fine.
The tour was very well organized the owner of the company actually picked this up at the port and dropped us off right at the Port enjoyed it very much would recommend to friends
A lovely, relaxing horse walk along a beautiful, quiet beach. We were collected by Crystal near our cruise terminal in her car, it was super easy and comfortable. Alex was our guide with the horses and he was kind enough to take photos and a video of our tour which was sent to us by WhatsApp.
Great experience. Guide was very cool. Totally relaxing by walk on the beach. Few people around and perfect weather.
Chrystal was great - from start to finish was easy to reach and communicate with. The experience was safe and well organized and we had a great time riding these beautiful horses in n the beach!
This was an absolutely fantastic first experience. I did my research and ended up picking this horseback ride on the beach excursion. We were on a cruise and wanted something FUN to do. My husband, two adult daughters (25 & 19) and myself were first timers and had a wonderful time. We opted for pick up. Directions were easy to follow. Horses were very well mannered and the hosts, Crystal and Alex were very accommodating. There were no others in our group, so it was like a private ride. Happily surprised at the length of the ride, not rushed or pressured at all. We loved it and can’t recommend it enough. We were even given sand dollars from the beach after the ride for keepsakes. Photos were also taken during our ride, still waiting for those to be received….cant wait to see them! If you are contemplating,

Crystal was absolutely wonderful, accommodating and personable! Her son was also on our trip and he was so fun and a pleasant little dude- totally made our day! We had clear instructions to meet at the pickup point and made friends with the other group that was with us on the tour. The drive was a bit long but the beach we got to was beautiful as it lined the coast. No complaints on our first experience but 2 of 6 horses went much faster than the tour as whole and I wish I was warned on how to maneuver the bounce cuz now my back hurts. The other horses were calm and very easy to ride, we enjoyed the ocean breeze, and causally horseback riding along the coast. Overall, an amazing experience and glad we booked with Viator!
The horseback riding was amazing as were the tour operators and staff. My only recommendation is that they provide water and a place to use the restroom. We actually had to pee in the back of the horse trailer.

We also want to address your concerns. During your visit, we did stop by a restroom, and we offered to take you to another one, which tou which you declined at the time and said "That's ok, I dont mind taking a squat."
As for water, it was never requested, but we would have been more than happy to provide it—especially since we noticed you had a beer, we assumed you were set for drinks.
That said, we truly value your feedback. We'll look at ways to better communicate available amenities and ensure guests know they can always ask for water or a restroom stop. We want every part of your experience to be just as enjoyable as the ride itself.

Wr had a fantastic time! Crystal was amazing and we highly recommend!! Except for the wind, it was a beautiful ride and horses were sweet too.
The ride was on a peaceful stretch of beach. We came on a rare foggy day but it was still the perfect activity for any weather. Our tour host, Crystal, was flexible and provided great communication and was very personable. Our guide, Alex was great with the group, giving us each the experience we were looking for and even took pictures and videos along the way that were shared with us at the end of our ride. Great experience!

Our first horseback riding experience as beginners was fantastic and relaxing! The horses were easy to ride, following a gentle pace with minimal guidance needed. One horse was a bit friendlier, so I had to steer more than others, but overall, it was a chilled and enjoyable time. The 1.5-hour ride took us along a quiet, almost secluded beach with a cool breeze—perfect for a light jacket. The two guides led the way, making it feel safe and straightforward. We would definitely do it again.
Logistics: Coming from a cruise ship, we easily found the meeting point and were picked up on time. The drive took about 30 minutes, with a restroom stop at the ranch, followed by a short ride to the beach where the horses were loaded. The entire experience lasted around 3.5 hours, leaving enough time to explore the historic Ensenada district afterward. The drop-off point was conveniently located near the shopping area, just a short walk from the ship. It was a well-organized, enjoyable adventure that combined scenic beach views with a relaxed vibe, perfect for both first-time riders and families looking for a unique experience. Happy travels!
Our family was in Ensenada on a cruise on 8/17/24. Pick up from the cruise port is included with this excursion, which was great. Chrystal was very friendly. We enjoyed a beautiful horse ride on the beach. Horses were healthy, mild tempered and easy to control. We would highly recommend using them if you are interested in horseback riding in Ensenada.

Awesome ride on the beach. The hosts are excellent and will pick you up from cruise. The horses listen really well. You can trot or canter of your comfortable. Great experience.
We are a family of four with no experience of riding a horse. The horses were chill and the scenic view is amazing! The tour guide that picked us up was on time. They didn’t rush us and they let us have a great time. We had a time in our life!
