Upon following the tour guide out of the parking lot where we were instructed to meet up with her, the gate for the parking lot came down on my head and neck. It not only startled me, but also caused pain for a day or 2. The tour guide did nothing about it. When we arrived back from the tour I mentioned it to one of the attendants in the lot, they said we should not have been walking through that area. The guide needs to understand that this path was an unsafe and unauthorized way to exit the area.
Response from Host, Aug 2026
We regret to hear about the accident. Please note that the guide and all other tour participants were following the pedestrian pavement, while you chose, for an unknown reason, to use the roadway intended for vehicles.
We are not familiar with the traffic rules in your home country, but in Europe pedestrian and vehicle routes are generally separated. Pedestrians should use pavements (sidewalks), while vehicles use the road.
Please keep this in mind when travelling outside your home country.
Safe travels!

Our tour guide Inna was fantastic! Lots of good information and a well paced day. Would highly recommend.
Daryl_D, Jul 2026
Lots of walking but very good way to see the city. There was a lot to see and many photo opportunities. Just wish it wasn't so hot.

We thought we had booked a private tour for the 4 of us. But, it was a shared tour. A total of 8 people and three couples were from another ship - so there was a little confusion. Natalya handled it very well even when one person was quite upset with the instructions for meeting.
We didn’t have any issues with the meeting location. She was there holding the JAT sign right where the photo she sent said she would be. We took off for the northern side of the city and got a panorama shot from there and then to the south side and got one there. Then headed for the old city. It is a real gem! Well preserved. Lots of places for lunch and shade. Lots of side opportunities on other tours. We had a guided trip into the city and then about 2.5!hours of free time. It was a very sunny day. To cap off our visit, we were waiting inside St Blaise church and a city choir came in and did a performance! Spectacular sound. We enjoyed our visit.

Initially we had a difficult time linking up with the tour as the meeting instructions were a bit vague. Aside from that, we had such an excellent time with our tour guide Marina, a real firecracker. She took us with the hired driver to several scenic points that overlooked the city, as well as guiding us through the old city center. She provided great insight into the ancient and recent history of Croatia and Dubrovnik, as well as what its like living in Croatia today as a native. She did a good job of responding to our particular interests and didn't beat us over the head with too much trivia. Being in a small group allowed us to see more at a reasonable pace, with ample free time for lunch and souvenir shopping. Highly recommend this tour

Cannot recommend this tour, we were met at a pier and walked to a pick up by a small van & driven by+20 minutes to a larger port @ then driven back to Dubrovnik to start the tour a total waste of time we paid for as tour time. The tour guide, however was good.
Response from Host, Jul 2026
Thank you for your feedback, but it remains unclear what exactly caused your disappointment: a small, modern Mercedes-Benz minivan, or the fact that there was another party to pick up on the way to Dubrovnik within the 30 minutes clearly mentioned for collecting cruise passengers.
According to your guide, you expected a private tour. Please note that private tours are clearly labeled as “PRIVATE” right in the title and cost three times more in Dubrovnik.
When booking future activities, we highly recommend basing your expectations on the description and inclusions rather than on personal assumptions.
Safe travels.

PetaMarie_M, Jun 2026
We found this tour to be one of our favourites while travelling. Inne was extremely knowledgeable about Dobrovnik and the history of this beautiful city. The pace of the tour and balance between interesting sights and free time was perfect. Highly recommend

Inna did a great job of giving us a great taste of Dubrovnik! Pick up was just outside the cruise port, as was drop off - very convenient! We drove to great panoramic views of the city and the sea while she explained the history of the city, then walked through the historic old town, visiting churches, seeing the city walls, and getting a feel for the town. After the tour we had time on our own - she asked each of us what we wanted to do and helped us make arrangements. We were picked up from the old city and delivered back to the ship.
I highly recommend

Fantastic tour!!! Inna is an amazing guide and made sure that we had an amazing experience. We got to stop at the most beautiful and picturesque spots to take pictures while Inna gave us a detailed background of the history and culture of everything we got to see. It was a 5 hour tour that went by so quickly because we were having a great time! Inna made sure we saw everything and then gave fantastic recommendations for lunch or a snack during our free time. During the ride back to our cruise ship Inna provided more recommendations for fun and interesting things to do in our next port! We are so grateful we had Inna as our guide!!! She is deeply patriotic to Croatia and a world traveler who has been on guided tours herself - I think that is part of the reason why she was able to make our time in Dubrovnik so special! Thank you Inna!!!

Could not join the tour due to poor joining instructions. We waited past the allocated joining time. So disappointing
Response from Host, Jun 2026
We regret to hear that you were unable to join the tour.
According to port security, you attempted to look for a Viator sign in an unrelated location, while the correct pickup location and signage were clearly communicated to you by email in advance and were also available on the website at all times.
Please note that in many ports, Viator works with hundreds of suppliers, and each supplier greets mutual customers with its own sign in order to avoid confusion.
When booking future activities, we strongly recommend carefully following the pickup instructions provided and keeping your travel phone switched on and reachable, at least on the morning of the tour.
Safe travels!

Disappointing. The first hour was spent in a people carrier, going across town to 2 high points to look at the scenery. Due to the heavy traffic - which is pretty much the norm in Dubrovnik - we only had a few minutes at each location. We were then supposed to have a guided tour of Dubrovnik. Unfortunately (for us) the other couple on our tour, whilst very pleasant, were quite elderly and mobility impaired. Dubrovnik was very crowded and the thought of trailing at a snail's pace through hot and crowded narrow streets was just not appealing. So we decided to skip that completely. The whole tour therefore turned out to be an expensive waste of money.
This tour was advertised by Viator as ideal for cruise passengers, but since no real care is taken by Viator to ensure the people thrown together have similar mobility needs we would recomlmend finding your own way into Dubrovnik. Cruise ships run regular free shuttles. Once there, it is easy to arrange an individual or small group tour of the city at the local tourist office where there are lots of options available at far more reasonable prices.
Response from Host, Jun 2026
We regret to hear about your disappointment, which appears to stem from an expectation of a private tour, as you mentioned to your guide upon arrival.
When booking future activities through Viator, please note that all private tours are clearly labeled as “PRIVATE” directly in the title and cost at least three times more.
Thank you for advertising the cruise ship shuttles. These can be booked directly through your cruise line.
Safe travels.

Our tour guide was a little late which made us nervous but once she was there all worked out she was informative and friendly
Judith_S, May 2026
Great overview of Dubrovnik and tour of the walled city. Just enough free time to shop and eat. Pick-up and return to the ship was great!
raaugustine, May 2026
I would highly recommend this tour. It includes excellent opportunities to take photographs and learn about the history of Dubrovnik along with how it has adapted to increased tourism. Our guide, Paulo, was very knowledgeable, passionate about his country, and went out of his way to provide excellent opportunities to take photos, to learn about the history, and ask questions. He was very helpful when we stopped in the Old Town and gave us ample time to explore on our own along with giving us recommendations. The area is very beautiful and I would highly recommend visiting.

Our tour guide, Katrina, was absolutely the best! Being from Dubrovnik she was very knowledgeable. A great experience all around.
Gumilang_R, May 2026
Tour guide was very profesional and friendly , she keeps on feeding informations from the second we are in the bus.
Patricia_G, May 2026
We were picked up from the cruise port and unfortunately the other couple had to cancel so it was just us. Had several hours seeing g panoramic views and walking the old town area. Then we had free time in old town to go in some of the attractions and grab a bite to eat. Great historical information and very much enjoyed the tour as a cruise stop. Would very much like to return to Dubrovnik one day.
theresa_b, May 2026
The tour of old town Dubrovnik was great! The tour guide awesome!! She suggested a fresh sea food restaurant, that was fabulous!!!
Craig_D, May 2026
This was a wonderful tour. Learned so much about Dubrovnik and Croatia. Driver was great and tour guide was excellent. She spoke perfect English and was so informative. Wish we had known that after our free time she would not return with the driver. So unfortunately we could not give her a well deserved tip!!!!
