An hours drive from Dubai...

An hours drive from Dubai brought us to the Lahbab desert. We opted to pay for the longer camel ride (which was lots of fun) before heading out for dune bashing. This was clearly not the drivers first rodeo and he drove close enough to the "edge" to make it fun, but not so close to make us feel unsafe. We stopped for about half an hour, took advantage of the sunset and took some photos. After returning back to camp it was time for dinner and the show. This proved to be the least favourite experience of the trip. The dinner was chaotic and disorganised, there was shouting from the caterers telling us to hurry up. The meal "service" took so long that I missed out on half the show as I was lining up and then missed most of the rest as there seemed to be no control over the crowd that constantly stood in front of us, making it virtually impossible to see anything. I would do the camel and desert bashing/sunset photos again, but definitely not the meal

Schöne Safari mit einem kleinen Hacken

Die Safari war sehr schön und das Essen im Camp sehr gut. Der Fahrer war sehr freundlich und hat viele Fotos von uns gemacht. Er wusste genau, wie er uns in der Wüste zu positionen hat damit wir schöne Fotos bekommen. Es gab vor der Wüstensafari die Möglichkeit einer Buggy etc. Fahrt. Allerdings war dies an einem anderen Platz und die Fahrten unverschämt teuer. 20 Minuten kosten ab 150,00 Euro. Wenn man solch eine Fahrt nicht machen wollte, musste man trotzdem 1 Stunde an diesem Ort bleiben. Ausser nervigen Verkäufern, schmutzigen Geschäften und Toiletten gab es dort sonst nichts.

En mi estancia en Dubai, había contratado el Tour Safari de lujo en el desierto, nos recogieron 30 minutos tarde de la hora acordada, el vehículo del transporte era una furgoneta, no un todo terreno, no nos ofrecieron nada de beber en todo el Tour, nos cambiaron de vehículo 5 veces con 3 conductores distintos, los cuales iban hablando por el móvil en todo momento sin usar manos libres. La experiencia por las dunas duró 10 minutos. Si este es el servicio que dan en una excursión definida de lujo no quiero imaginar cuál será el de un Tour normal.
