Dubai Airport is available from the Holiday Inn Airport hotel. Pickup from Bab Al Shams, Al Maha resort, and Jebel Ali is available for an additional fee.
Itinerary
Purchase your ticket for your required all-terrain vehicles (ATVs) and departure time. Then, after pickup at your Dubai, Sharjah, or Ajman address or other select location (additional fees might apply), ride a chauffeured vehicle into the Lahbab desert, known for its red-orange dunes. Prebooking lets you secure your preferred date and relax knowing everything is prearranged.
On arrival, don a supplied helmet and after safety instructions, enjoy a roughly 1-hour ATV ride. Roar over the dunes behind your instructor and stop for sandboarding and photos.
Next, visit the Al Khayma desert camp, where Arabic coffee, camel riding, henna art (women only), shishas, and Arabic-dress and falconry photo-ops await, alongside complimentary sodas and water. Join in the activities as you wish before enjoying a delicious barbecue-buffet and live shows, including whirling-dervish and folklore dances, performed under the darkening desert sky.
Your experience ends with a return transfer to the start point.

- Travelers should have a moderate physical fitness level
- Participants must be over 14 years old and should have basic driving knowledge. Those aged 13 and under are not permitted to ride.
- We highly recommend having international travel insurance, as self-driving activities carry inherent risks that may lead to serious injury. Coverage for such incidents is typically provided only through your personal insurance.
- The quad biking segment is solely the participant's responsibility. Any damage, injuries sustained or items lost during the quad tour are not covered by insurance
- The participant MUST pay the amount for any damages due to the usage of buggy/ATVs.
- All participants must sign an indemnity form before the tour
- For the Sharing Bike option, a minimum of 2 passengers is required. If there is a solo traveler or an odd number of participants in the group, an additional charge will apply
- The duration is approximately 6 hours, including a quad bike tour of around 60 minutes
- Pickup will be 45min prior to your selected departure time. Please be ready at the hotel lobby on time
- Please note that if your skin is sensitive to henna, it is advised not to do it.
- The 11:30 AM time slot includes a lunch buffet but does not feature the Star Gazing or Fire Show, as these are part of the evening program.
- Casual, loose fitting clothing is recommended in the summer, along with a jacket in the winter
- Pick-up timing is subject to change due to the emerging summer heat: 1 hour earlier in the morning and 1 hour later in the afternoon. A notification shall be sent in advance in the case of any change.
- Everything listed in the Inclusions is part of the tour and is covered in the price.
- Camel Ride: Children below 14 years of age cannot ride
- Quad Bike: Children below 14 years cannot ride.

From start to finish, this was an incredible experience. Our guide was exceptionally knowledgeable and took the time to answer every question we had. The ATV adventure paired with camel riding was an absolute blast, and the food at the camp was outstanding — generous portions of the most delicious dishes. Highly recommend!!

Not sure why I took too long in giving this review but it just reminded me of what an awesome time we as a family had. The tour guide was amazing! The experience is worth every penny and I want to go back one day to experience it at night, such a magical experience. Food was amazing, hookas, desserts, coffee, drinks! All of it.

I was hesitant at first doing a solo tour but I took the chance. ZASHAN was my English speaking guide and while other reviews encountered unfortunate experiences of late pick ups, my pickup was prompt and on schedule. I was the first to be picked up along with two others after and had an amazing time.
An ATV ride was first at the Red Dunes Desert and while we only a booked the 35 minute session, it lasted an hour. The second stop is where everything else is then held with camel rides, sunset viewing, dinner, photos with a falcon, a traditional dance, a fire dance, and viewing Arabian horses they use for competitions showings.
Know that at both sites, there are other vehicles full of guests as well so you won’t feel too lonely nor isolated as there are many tourists. Both sites are able to accommodate the crowds and hopefully you’ll meet some interesting people for conversations during dinner! I’d definitely recommend this for anyone considering it assuming you’re able bodied and not attending with an infant or child.

Overall it was a fun experience. My best advice is book a private tour or just go alone because when you’re in a group you have to wait on others. I booked the morning tour so I didn’t get to see the night show but Highly recommend going to the late show because it’s more entertaining & enjoyable. Our driver was Imran he was really cool, informative, very responsive to everything and actually interacted with everyone! Very cool guy. If you book with OceanAirTravel ask for him!

Our guide AMR was amazing. Picked us up from the hotel on time. As he drove us to the excursion place he provided information about Dubai as we passed. Made great recommendations on locations to visit.
Amr was also out dessert guide. Took us out on an incredible experience and took some great memorial photos of us.

We had Shanif with us for the whole day. He’s very informative, helpful and friendly. He picked us up from the hotel very promptly. Then drove us safely to the sand dunes to do the quad bike. He was helping us to take lots of pics.
Then we went to the campsite for the camel ride, dinner and also show. The arrangement was nicely set up. The facility was clean. Food was good with lots of choices. This is a must do when in Dubai.
I would strongly recommend this tour and go with Shanif.

This was such an amazing excursion, and the highlight of our trip. Pick up was easy and on time. Our guide Adnan was great. He really understood that this was an experience for us, and made sure to take lots of pics and videos of us. He was very patient and did not rush us at all. we had an amazing time! Sanaullah was our tour guide and he made sure our day was memorable! Communication was great throughout. We were messaged beforehand about pick up time and driven an air-conditioned SUV. at our first stop, we were greeted with complementary beverages and given the opportunity to utilize bathroom facilities and purchase head scarfs for the sand and other accessories or souvenirs. Sana guided us through the dunes and he was quick to help when one of the group members’ atv got stuck. Afterwards, we were driven to the next stop to the desert camp to see camels, falcons, horses, lots of activities for everyone! Overall 10/10 experience!! Highly recommend

We had a fantastic experience. Aleem our guide was attentive, professional, fun and a great guide. We were picked up from our hotel with another lovely couple (the four of us) and driven to the desert to do quad biking, sandboarding, with Aleem taking some great pictures for us. After, we were then driven to the camp with a fantastic buffet, bbq, Arabic teas, shisha, a fire show. It was all incredibly well organised and professional.
I would definitely book this again on my next trip to Dubai.

The red dunes are breathtaking — the dune bashing was thrilling in the best way, the ATV ride added an extra dose of adrenaline, and the camel ride made the experience even more authentic. The desert sunset is simply indescribable — a truly cinematic view!
The 5★ camp at Al Khayma Camp is extremely well organized, comfortable, and beautifully set up. The BBQ dinner was spectacular, with great variety and outstanding quality. Everything was very well served, the atmosphere was lovely, and the cultural performances made the evening even more special. Stargazing was the perfect way to end the night.
And a very special thanks to our guide/driver, Salim — absolutely amazing! Extremely professional, polite, and attentive, he made the entire experience even more enjoyable. He drives very safely and gives you total confidence during the dune ride. And one special detail: his playlist is a huge success! Great music, great vibes, and high energy from start to finish. Salim truly made all the difference in our experience!
Highly recommended. Without a doubt, one of the highlights of my trip to Dubai!

Picked up 2pm ish. Luxury suv. Fazal was our guide and was very friendly and welcoming. Also picked another family on route and they were so lovely. We spent all day with them and it was a pleasure. About an hours drive to the desert and first activity was quad bikes. I was with my 14 year old daughter and she sat on the back. We both loved it. Did this for around an hour. Stopped for a break and did some sand boarding which was ok. Chance to pick up some snacks (we got crisps and a drink). Then back in the car and off to the “campsite”. About 45 mins drive. But went quick as we were all chatting lots and sharing experiences of Dubai and picked up some good tips from the Fazal. Then had a camel ride which was really cool. Then shown to our table and had some food and drinks. Great selection. Then couple of shows - fire eating was the best! Chance to buy some
Souvenirs too. Headed home around 9pm. Got back to hotel 10pm ish. Was knackered! But had the best day! Oh and being some warmer clothes for the evening!

Our guide Sherri was the best! He was very friendly, helpful and patient with us. We enjoyed our experience a lot! My favorites were the quad bike experience, the sand sliding and camel ride.
