Relaxing Shopping Trip with Rahim Khan and Ayaan
I took this shopping tour with Rahim Khan as my tour guide and Ayaan as my driver. Ayaan navigated the traffic very well even though it seemed to be extra busy on the day I chose. Rahim Khan was very relaxed and let me explore museums and shops at my own pace. He didn’t pressure any purchases or any sort of structure. I was free to do what I want and spend as long as I wanted where I wanted. Rahim Khan was also knowledgeable and went through the interesting history of the country and architecture of the old town. He also started talking a little bit about more minute things that interested me when I expressed a bit of personal interest such as social structure and services in the country that related to my work experience back home. Very chill guys.

Fabulous communication...
Fabulous communication prior to the trip. Our Guide was Ali Kamail. Extremely knowledgeable. Evident that Ali loves his job, this tour and Dubai. It was good to see and learn about the historical side of Dubaii, ride across the Creek etc. A good experience.

Souk tour
Our guide, Mr Muhammad, took us on a brilliant tour of the gold and spice areas. He explained the history of the UAE and the souk areas and gave some instructions on the haggling process. A very worthwhile and interesting tour.

Dubai
A variety of spices for sale at the Dubai Spice Souk.
  • The Dubai Spice Souk is a must-visit for shoppers, foodies, and culture vultures.

  • Be prepared to barter—haggling is a way of life for the vendors.

  • If you’re buying spices to take home, check the relevant customs regulations and ask vendors to properly seal and label your goods.

  • Be ready for the heat: although the souk is shaded, there’s no air-conditioning apart from certain individual shops.
