Pickup is available from Dubai, Sharjah, and Ajman city, from Dubai Cruise Terminal (Port Rashid), Pickup from Jabel Ali or Bab Al Shams only with a private option. Note that the pickup will be 45 minutes prior to your booked time depending on your location.
Itinerary
Select your tour and departure option, and after pickup from your Dubai, Sharjah, or Ajman address or other select location (additional fees might apply), enjoy an air-conditioned 4WD transfer into the Lahbab red-dune desert. Prebooking lets you secure the ideal tour day and avoid any last-minute rush or hassle.
Once there, take an all-terrain vehicle (ATV) ride (select tickets only), or set off on a thrilling 4WD dune bash, with a break for sandboarding, before continuing to the shared Al Khayma camp.
On arrival, savor Arabic coffee and sweets and enjoy Bedouin-style activities like camel riding, henna body art, and traditional dress and falconry photo-shoots. Sodas, tea, and water are also included. As dusk falls, sit down to a scrumptious barbecue buffet, watch traditional whirling dervish and folklore dances, and enjoy a stargazing session using a telescope.

- The quad biking segment is solely the participant's responsibility. Any damage, injuries sustained or items lost during the quad tour are not covered by insurance
- All desert safari drivers are well trained and licensed for safari drives. The 4WD vehicles are fully insured and well equipped with all necessary safety features, such as roll bars, seat belts, government trackers, GPS, GMS, and a First Aid box
- OceanAir Travels shall not be responsible for any kind of loss, accident, sickness or injury.
- Please wear sports shoes for safe sand boarding.
- Casual, loose fitting clothing is recommended in the summer, along with a jacket in the winter
- Please note that if your skin is sensitive to henna, it is advised not to do it.
- The 11:30 AM Timing slot comes with a Lunch buffet, and it doesn't include the Star Gazing & Fire show since it's during the day timing
- Pickup will be within 45min prior to your selected departure time. Please be ready at the hotel lobby on time.
- Pick-up timing is subject to change due to the emerging summer heat: 1 hour earlier in the morning and 1 hour later in the afternoon. A notification shall be sent in advance in the case of any change.

- Camel Ride: Children below 12 years of age cannot ride alone and must be accompanied by an adult.

- Helmets & safety gear are highly recommended where applicable, and participation is entirely at your own risk, the company will not be responsible for any accidents, damage, loss, or death from these activities.
- By UAE law, pregnant ladies, anyone with back or neck pain, heart problems or other serious medical complaints and infants (under 3 years old) are not allowed during the dune bashing activity. What an experience! The Dubai desert safari was absolutely fantastic from start to finish.
Our driver, Istikar, was brilliant and genuinely made the whole experience even better. He was friendly, knowledgeable and made sure we had a great time throughout. His picture-taking skills are also top-notch — he knew all the best spots and got some amazing photos for us!
The dune bashing was an absolute highlight, and the camp afterwards was great, with plenty of activities to get involved in. The BBQ was also really tasty and the perfect way to finish the evening.
A brilliant experience that I’d definitely recommend, and a special thanks to Istikar for making it even more memorable!

5 stars! We really enjoyed our Desert Safari with OceanAir Travels. Our guide, Ilyas, was fantastic, patient, and an excellent photographer. The ATV, dune rides, and food at the camp were all top-notch. Highly recommend for families.

The trip was great but was not prepared for sand dune rides. It was wild for us.
We were sitting at back off 4 wheel vehicle and didnt like the rough rides.
So much fun. Definitely recommend. Dubai desert was great, the food was great and sliding down a sand hill was awesome.
What an amazing experience from start to finish. We spent around 9 hours with our driver and guide, Elias, and I honestly can't say enough good things about him.
He picked us up exactly at the time we were given on WhatsApp and from the moment we met him he was friendly, respectful and very knowledgeable. He explained everything properly throughout the day and treated everyone with kindness.
We ended up doing the quad bikes (I did the driving 😂), followed by the desert safari, and everything was so well organised. Elias looked after us the whole time. Even something as simple as the traditional head scarves — every time we took them off, he would patiently help us put them back on again!
Another thing we really appreciated was the photos. Everywhere we stopped, Elias would take our phones and take pictures of us without us even having to ask. And he actually took some amazing shots! We came away with so many great memories from the day because of him.
The 4x4 was brand new, very comfortable and Elias was an excellent driver. The whole day ran smoothly and never felt rushed or disorganised.
The cherry on top was the desert camp. Food was genuinely 10/10, with plenty to choose from and ice-cold soft drinks included. There was complimentary Arabic coffee, tea and sweets, henna tattooing, camel rides and the evening shows including an amazing fire show.
And a special mention for the air-conditioned tents — an absolute lifesaver for us melting Brits in the middle of the Dubai desert 😂.
The whole experience was fantastic value and we loved every second of it.
If you're booking this safari and you get Elias as your driver/guide, you're in very good hands. He genuinely helped make the experience special for us.

We had a great adventure, Ilyas was our guide and he was fantastic. It was fantastic how many activities we were able to fit into the trip, and such great value. We upgraded and did the ATV in the dunes, I was reluctant but my son really wanted to do it and I’m so pleased we did. We had a great time.
The first stop did feel like a lot of salesman were trying to push things on you and I think an explanation before hand would help, but they were not pushy and the scarfs we bought not o my helped with the sand but felt authentic to the activities.
There is a bit of driving on main roads but overall the experience id great. The camp was lovely, welcoming and we were really looked after. So many activities and we enjoyed them all.
I would definitely recommend this tour, the only negative for me was that the car used was very hot and the air conditioning seemed to work sporadically. We shared a car with another family so there were 7 persons with the driver and we were sat in the very rear of the vehicle, it was very uncomfortable at times but despite this it really was a fantastic tour. Memories for a lifetime. x

We had an amazing desert safari experience thanks to Mr. Ghafoor Ghaleb. He was professional, friendly, patient, and made the entire trip enjoyable from start to finish. He went above and beyond to take countless photos for everyone in the group, making sure we had great memories to take home. He was very creative with poses and knew all the best spots for pictures.
His driving during the dune bashing was exciting, safe, and skillful, and he made the sand sliding activities fun for everyone. Throughout the tour, he was attentive, organized, and always willing to help. His positive attitude and excellent customer service made the experience even more special.

When you read what is offered with a nighttime booking it sounds wonderful. BUT that’s where it stops. I cannot recommend as the activities listed were not delivered.
To start our day we were driven 45 mins to a meeting room where we were approached by salesmen selling perfume, head scarfs and jewellery. We then departed for sand boarding and after 2 runs each it was time to go only 4 in our group.
We then proceeded to a 30 min activity of Dune Bashing where we waited 20 min for another car to join us which did not show. The dune bashing was fun and a stop for a photo happen.
From there we were driven to our dining experience. During this time our driver offered no information.
When we arrived at our final stop our driver advised us that he would wait in the car and when we were ready just come back to him.
We expected an amazing time as our tour was at night it was to include dressing in authentic Arabian clothing, Falconry show, Fire show, Belly Dancing, Arabian Horse show and Camel show. Unfortunately none of this happened.
When asked why we were told it’s not peak season.
Definitely over price and not value for money.
I’ve traveled the world and this was honestly one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. The tour was an unbelievable value for everything included. From seamless hotel pickup to the thrilling 4x4 vehicle ride (I upgraded on site) over the red dunes, camel rides, sandboarding, Arabic makeovers, incredible BBQ buffet, cultural shows, and stargazing under the desert sky, every part of the experience exceeded expectations.
Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and made the day even more special with insights about local culture. The tour company and hospitality were outstanding from start to finish. It was so good, I booked another tour with the same company just a couple of days later — and that says everything. If you’re considering this experience, don’t hesitate. Truly unforgettable.
We had a perfect day with Ramzan! He arrived to pick us up from our hotel and was ready before our pick up time which was great. He was extremely communicative about what to expect for the day and didn’t make anything feel rushed. He even offered to do things again like sandboarding, etc. He always made sure the group was safe, feeling good and taken care of. His driving was also top notch. Ramzan was genuine and extremely kind and honestly made the experience even better. We’re in Dubai during the time of these attacks and he even went the extra mile to provide us with information to help us in the case our flight is cancelled and we have to extend. I couldn’t have been more happier to have received Ramzan as our guide. Definitely book this tour!!!

We had a great time on this tour. Our driver and guide Hashim was outstanding. He gave us an overview during the 45mim drive to our first stop. Dune bashing was amazing. Hashim went out of his way to take pictures for us. We do sand boarding. Then we went to the camp area for camel riding, and other activities followed by an awesome dinner buffet. There were multiple shows to keep everyone entertained.

Brilliant afternoon from start to finish. Our driver Masood was punctual, knowledgeable and lovely to talk to. The day was brilliant and well worth the money. The bbq was delicious, the best food we’ve had whilst we’ve been here. The quad bikes, sand boarding, the falcon, henna tattoo, camel ride, all fabulous. Such a lovely day and well worth the money. This was a great experience. We were picked up from our hotel on time and taken to a meeting point on the edge of the desert. We got to experience a short camel ride, a wild ride through the sand dunes, great photo opportunities and then an amazing bbq with entertainment.
At the end of the bbq, which was very enjoyable, we were driven back to our hotel.
Soft drinks and water were available free all day.

The dune bashing was awesome, but if you get easily motion sick or don't like being jostled, then take a gravol or let the guide know right after you leave the dune buggy area so you can get out. The dinner at the encampment was excellent and tasty with lots of variety, hot food and well organized. Although we paid for and booked the evening tour to enable us to have sunset photos in the desert, for some reason the guide indicated that we did not have time to do this, which was disappointing. He did take other photos of us in the desert however, and made the effort to take photos of us on the camels, sandboarding, and at the shows. For the encampment, the horse show was minimal, just leading some horses around the circle/corral, nothing spectacular. The camel ride was short but sweet. We did the henna painting which was fun, and took a picture with the falcons. We did not see a falcon show or hear of one. The small venue of shops was adequate for some souvenirs and the shop owners were not pushy.

We spent an absolutely fantastic afternoon — truly the highlight of our visit to Dubai! The experience included a wide range of activities, and almost everything (except the buggies) was already included in the price, which made the whole trip smooth and completely stress-free.
The dinner was delicious and beautifully organized, with every detail thoughtfully planned. A special thank you to our amazing guide, Syed, who made the entire experience so much fun. We couldn’t have asked for a better day!

This was a fantastic experience! The tour started with a 45-minute drive to a small area with a shop (accepts credit cards) and food options. The ATV ride was also here. After about 30 minutes or so, we went to the dunes area. The drivers are so skilled - lots of adrenaline and holding onto the rolls bars in the Land Cruiser! We then sand boarded down a short slope while other people around took photos of the desert sunset. After that, there was about a 45 minute drive to a camp area. This area was very nice and provided opportunities for activities such as a short camel ride, feeding hay to 2 camels, and shops. The buffet provided an extensive varietey of foods including meats, salads, and even desserts! Waters and sodas were also provided. There were many wooden tables with bean bag-types of seating. Be sure to have your picture taken wth the falcon there - the handler is also a fantastic photographer! :) This location and the initial meeting area both had modern toilet facilities. Afterwards, the drive was about 45 minutes to our lodging (downtown Dubai area). We have traveled all over the world and have been on over 40 tours booked through Viator, and this was one of the most memorable and exciting experiences!

I booked the "Dubai Premium Red Dunes Safari" expecting a high-quality experience. Having done similar desert safaris twice before with other companies, I know the standard. This experience was disjointed, stressful, and far below what was advertised.
1. Poor Logistics & Ruined Atmosphere
The dune bashing was incredibly short compared to standard tours. Worse, the transfer to the camp took nearly an hour on a public highway, which completely killed the desert vibe. We were also swapped mid-tour to a different driver—a restless man with no uniform or badge who looked like a "random guy" rather than a professional guide.
2. Stress Instead of Relaxation
Organization at the camp was chaotic. Upon arrival, our driver had a dispute with security because we weren't expected. Inside, the venue wasn't ready (no music/atmosphere). Despite booking for a family with a 6-year-old, we were forced to squeeze into a table with strangers.
The driver then ruined the evening by stressing us out about traffic, insisting we leave early. Our lunch and show were compressed into a rush 45-minute window. We spent the entire time on pins and needles. The operator added negative value; we would have been better off taking a taxi ourselves.
3. Privacy Breach & Refund Refusal
I formally requested a 50% refund because the logistical failures actively harmed our experience, but the request was refused.
Even more concerning is the data privacy issue. The next day, the driver contacted me personally on my private number to offer his services for a trip to Abu Dhabi. The fact that a freelance driver retained my contact details for solicitation suggests a serious lack of data protection protocols by this operator.
Verdict:
The camp facility itself might be fine, but the operator’s logistics and lack of professionalism ruined the night. I do not recommend risking your evening (or your personal data) with them.
So worth it. Enjoyed the dune bashing and camel ride. The show was entertaining, food was great and service was good.
