- It is highly recommended that you eat 2-3 hours before the safari trip to avoid sickness during the dune bashing.
- We highly recommend having international travel insurance, as self-driving activities carry inherent risks that may lead to serious injury. Coverage for such incidents is typically provided only through your personal insurance.
- All desert safari drivers are well trained and licensed for safari drives. The 4WD vehicles are fully insured and well equipped with all necessary safety features, such as roll bars, seat belts, government trackers, GPS, GMS, and a First Aid box
- OceanAir Travels shall not be responsible for any kind of loss, accident, sickness or injury.
- Please wear sports shoes for safe sand boarding.
- Casual, loose fitting clothing is recommended in the summer, along with a jacket in the winter
- Pickup will be 45min prior to your selected departure time. Please be ready at the hotel lobby on time.
- Kindly share your Whatsapp number for an easy communication during the pickup
- Pick-up timing is subject to change due to the emerging summer heat: 1 hour earlier in the morning and 1 hour later in the afternoon. A notification shall be sent in advance in the case of any change.
- Everything listed in the Inclusions is part of the tour and is covered in the price. Quad biking is available if the option is selected.
- Camel Ride: Children below 12 years of age cannot ride alone and must be accompanied by an adult.
- Quad Bike: Children below 16 years cannot ride on their own and must be accompanied.
- By participating, you acknowledge and accept that some activities involve inherent risks and unforeseen incidents, and adequate travel and health insurance is strongly recommended for your safety and financial protection. Recommended Age for Self-Driving Activities: Sandboarding: 12-50 years, Quad Biking: 16–50 years. Animal-related activities (company not responsible for uncontrollable natural behaviour of animals): Camel Ride (Recommended age: 12–50 years) Falcon, Horse Riding.
- Helmets & safety gear are highly recommended where applicable, and participation is entirely at your own risk, the company will not be responsible for any accidents, damage, loss, or death from these activities.
- By UAE law, pregnant ladies, anyone with back or neck pain, heart problems or other serious medical complaints and infants (under 3 years old) are not allowed during the dune bashing activity by car. (If this conditions are applicable to you, please contact our Consultant to customize your tour)

To be clear, half day means 2 hours of roundtrip transportation and less than 2 hours of activities. The driver, nice guy, spoke less than 20 words to over 2 hours. We stopped on the way at a gross shop. The quads were ridden inside of an enclosure not open desert. The camel ride is an oval, you ride out about 100 meters, take a picture, and go right back. The sand surfing was a bunch of people sledding or boarding down a huge sand hill on top of one another. The dessert 4 wheeling was harrowing especially since 1 person's seatbelt didn’t work. It got us out of the city, that was something. Not very professional, not what we have come to expect from a Viator vendor.

We had an absolutely fantastic experience! I’ve done a similar tour before with another company, but this one was truly exceptional. It was made even more memorable by our incredible and highly experienced guide, Lala. His sand dune driving skills were nothing short of legendary — what an unforgettable adventure! The vehicle was also top-quality and practically brand new, which added to the comfort and overall experience.
We would highly recommend this tour and company to all our friends, and we hope they’re lucky enough to have Lala as their guide too!

We had a really great time on this trip! Our tour guide, Vicky (Waqar Ahmed) was absolutely amazing! He truly made the experience even better. Really informative, chilled and most importantly, prompt. Smashed it on the dunes, too! Which I very much enjoyed.
The only three things I would suggest for anyone thinking of doing this trip:
1) Have a think about paying extra for the buggy over the quads. The quads get fairly boring quite quickly (for two adults), whereas the buggy looked wicked!
2) Don't buy from the local drink/ food shop inside the camp (in the corner). It's an absolute rip off... £18 for two waters and a packet of crisps. Just go out of the compound and grab from the fuel station.
3) Don't give in to the people trying to sell you your own picture of you on the quads. They end up giving it to you at the end anyway...
Really fun trip though. Vicky is a really great photographer once in the dunes, so we got some great snaps!

We reserved the 2pm tour, but didn’t get to the desert until 4:45pm. There were no dates or soft drinks as listed as included in the tour. Our guide was in such a hurry, only interested in the photo op. The activities themselves were okay, but they were all in the same area so other groups kept running into each other, making for a chaotic experience. Especially if you only have a short time in Dubai, don’t spend your time here.

My half-day desert safari experience in Dubai was absolutely unforgettable and perfectly organized from start to finish. The hotel pickup was smooth and on time, and our tour guide, Muhammad Sajid, immediately made everyone feel welcome with his friendly attitude and professionalism. The drive into the desert was comfortable, and once the dune bashing began, the real excitement started. The ride over the golden dunes was thrilling yet felt completely safe thanks to Muhammad Sajid’s expert driving skills. After the adrenaline rush, we enjoyed a short but authentic camel ride, which was perfect for photos and gave us a true desert experience. The quad biking session was another highlight, offering a fun burst of adventure with clear instructions provided beforehand, making it suitable even for beginners. After all the activities, the refreshments were a welcome break, allowing us to relax and take in the stunning desert scenery. Overall, this half-day safari is ideal for anyone short on time but still wanting a complete desert adventure. With a great mix of excitement, cultural experience, and excellent guidance from Muhammad Sajid, it was truly a memorable part of my Dubai trip.

Mr G our driver was amazing from beginning to end, friendly and informative.
We were first taken to hold the falcon, ride quad bikes and purchase scarfs if we wanted and we did.
We then went on a camel ride and sand boarding and then onto a ride over the dunes and finished off by taking pictures
We all had an amazing day.

The overall experience was underwhelming. It was short, quick and not carefully executed by the company. It felt like we were THE camels being moved from one experience to another. My experience is based on having another experience similar to this one a few days earlier.
The only positive part of the trip was our guide who was very accommodating - Eid Anwar. He was communicative, agile in our requests and assisted us the entire time. If it wasn’t for him, this experience would have been a 1 star and not recommended at all.

Excellent tour to experience the desert! 4x4 was fun, can be done safely if you’re not crazy, falcon experience was cool, camel ride was great, sand surfing was like sledding in sand and can be done siting for those of us not terribly athletically inclined. Dune bashing was adjusted for those of us prone to motion sickness and still had a great time!

We went on the 4 hour desert trip with Ocean Air Travel on 17 February and it was a truly fantastic six star experience. Myself, my partner and our two teenage boys absolutely loved it from start to finish.
Our driver and host for the day, Naveed Khan, was outstanding. On the journey to the desert he gave us a fascinating tour, sharing the history of Dubai and lots of interesting insights. He looked after us throughout the entire experience and made everything feel smooth and effortless. He was also great fun, which made the day even more enjoyable.
The camels, quad biking, sandboarding and desert off roading were all superb, but what really made it memorable was Naveed’s leadership and personality. He ensured we felt safe, relaxed and thoroughly entertained at all times.
If you are thinking of booking a desert trip in Dubai, you must use this provider. It has been our best memory in Dubai so far.

The tour company uses a large 7 seater SUV. Excellent for small groups. Our tour guide is Nadeem Ghaffar. He is polite and treats people nicely. We did all the activities as advertised. Nadeem spent extra time to take the photos so we all left with a beautiful memory. Nadeem is wonderful.

The experience was great!! Our guide Zahid Hussain was very helpful and we really enjoyed his service. His safari was also great, we had a lot of fun. The process of pick up and drop off from the hotel was very smooth, he came on time and guided us through every step of the experience. The car was comfortable and cool with AC.
