Our group of 6 people signed up for this tour after completing our cycling tour. We wanted a brief but comprehensive overview of the history of Dresden before departing. We had Sylvia as our tour guide and she was excellent! It really helped that she is also an architect and could explain the buildings in much more detail. We really enjoyed this wonderful private tour!

Sylvia gave us a wonderful tour of old town Dresden. Her knowledge and humor made the tour very interesting. She took us to several "oh my" sights that seemed like they were from a painting. Sylvia's "insider" knowledge put the tour over the top. Highly recommend a tour with Sylvia.

Excellent private tour of a beautiful city. Guide was very knowledgeable and it was an easy tour as the city is quite flat and accessible for people that may have some mobility issues.
Would definitely recommend this tour. Loved that we had the guide to ourselves, which made allowance for some personalised itinerary adjustments.

Claus gave us a fantastic tour of historic Dresden. He was extremely well informed about the history, art and architecture of the city and the specific sites that we visited. He was charming and enjoyable to tour with and he went out of his way to spend extra time on the things that he understood would be of particular interest to us. Claus was an outstanding guide, and we really appreciate his effort to create a memorable visit to Dresden for us.

Dresden is an interesting and pretty city but our guide was not particularly enthusiastic and was just going through the motions. From the beginning he said the tour would be 90 minutes, not the the 2 hours we were expecting. The information given was interesting, but limited, and nothing “extra” like you often get with tours. Also, the guide spoke quite softly so we could just hear in our small group of four( private tour was expensive per person so our expectations were high). We did observe another larger tour the next day with the same guide and ther were many disinterested members at the back as I imaging they could not hear the information. I wouldn’t waste my money on this tour.

Last year my daughter and I came to Dresden and took this tour and enjoyed it so much this year when we came back with the rest of the family, we took it again. We were excited to get Wolfgang again as a guide. Saxony has a lot of interesting history and some current items we dont care for like the AFD, but the museums are fantastic and Wolfgangs historical knowledge is fantastic!

Wolfgang, our guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. The tour was in depth and told the history of Dresden from its origins thru the Soviet era. Highly recommend for history buffs.

Seema was an excellent guide! We had travelers age 5, 16, 21, & 45 and she was able to connect with each one of us making the tour engaging and interesting for all!! We even asked her for more of her time as she was just amazing in her knowledge of the beautiful city and landmarks. Definitely recommend this tour, specifically with Seema as the guide!

Silvia was a very friendly and knowledgeable guide, who met us right when got off the train. She was interactive and even gave us prizes! Our group was 2 adults and 2 kids (ages 13 and 10) and Silvia managed to that audience well. She provided historical context, which is very important. We should have spent more time in Dresden, we did it as a day trip from Berlin and it should be an overnight stop at least.

Wolfgang was the best tour guide that we have ever had!! What a marvelous experience we had with him touring the city....I cant say enough about how enjoyable it was. One thing that I will say that made it really fantastic was that he gave us tips and tricks for when we were on our own. For instance a certain area in the museum that is often overlooked because it is around the corner and between the stories kind of mid stairs...we would never have seen with out his pointing this out to us during the tour. I have many more examples but suffice it to say we thoroughly enjoyed it and it set us up for success for our stay in Dresden....and btw for coming back this summer too!!!
