Frasr was amazing! He really knew his stuff when it came to German history, and where to go and what to do in Dresden, and even when we got back to Berlin. He was very kind and very fun and funny, while also directing our attention to sight after sight. Also very good at projecting his voice when needing to get over the noise! Thank you Frasr!

Walking the town with a friend

Aromica_B, Feb 2026
I absolutely loved my walk with this intimate group - we were lucky to be three of us with Fraser. He is relaxed, almost a friend chatting about a city he calls home currently, and makes you forget you are on a ‘guided tour’. He is knowledgeable, has no set script which I find very jaded in most such walks. I definitely recommend.

Response from Host, Mar 2026

Thanks so much, very kind of you :)

A lovely walk through the history of Dresden - highly recommended

Karen_B, Nov 2025
We had a lovely walk through Dresden’s beautiful and historic city streets with Fraser. He is very knowledgeable and engaging about Dresden’s history, buildings and architecture. We had a chance to see inside some of the beautiful churches and take in the views of a truly breathtaking skyline. We also saw areas and buildings outside of the Altstadt that are well worth a visit, but are not high on any “Dresden highlights” Google search. It didn’t feel rushed and Fraser made us all feel very welcome and took time to chat to us all personally. A lovely guy, great guide, highly recommended ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Response from Host, Nov 2025

Fraser - Fascinating, Fun, and Full of Insight!

Cameron_T, May 2025
Fraser’s walking tour was the perfect introduction to Dresden. As an anthropologist, he brings a unique and deeply human perspective to the city’s history—connecting the past to the present in a way that’s both thought-provoking and easy to follow. He’s incredibly knowledgeable without ever feeling like he’s lecturing. Instead, it feels like you’re strolling through the city with a friend who knows all the hidden corners, quirky stories, and powerful moments that shaped Dresden. The pace was perfect, the route beautifully planned, and Fraser’s passion for the city is contagious. I left feeling like I understood not just Dresden’s history, but its soul. Highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants more than just dates and facts—this is storytelling at its best.

Fraser is a fantastic guide. His knowledge of the city and sights is outstanding. I only had a short time in Dresden so the 2 hour tour was perfect. Could not have asked for a better guide than Fraser! Though the tour was a brief two hours, I felt like I left Dresden with an intermediate understanding of its history, people and architecture. Would highly recommend this to any first timer to Dresden or for those travelers with a short time spent in the city.

Response from Host, Apr 2025

Relaxing and Informative Tour

Belinda_F, Mar 2025
Highly recommend this tour with Fraser - it was great to explore a bit of Dresden outside the main city center and see the Soviet past. Loved the overall vibe of the tour where it was a more intimate experience and felt like a friend sharing his city with us. Facts / commentary included both historical and also some good discussion about modern day differences Dresden carries from the rest of Germany, I also appreciated the visits in the churches had us looking around on our own then regrouping to the next stop. Thanks for a great morning Fraser!

Response from Host, Mar 2025

Thanks :)

An Excellent Tour

Global_T, Dec 2024
We spent 2 wonderful hours with Fraser. His knowledge of Dresden is impressive. Not only for the current day, but the city’s long history. I was especially interested in the WW-2 years and the years under GDR rule. The city’s architecture clearly shows the differences between the prewar, postwar, GDR and the reunification years. Fraser explained the architectural details, and then showed us those differences at various buildings. We could have easily spent an entire day with him, his pace and delivery were perfect for us. On our next stop in Leipzig, we visited the Stasi museum which is the former HQ of the GDR’s secret police. The interior was left intact, with original documents and other items in the open. Fraser, thanks for the suggestion that we visit the museum. Cheers Mate,

Response from Host, Dec 2024

Too kind indeed :)

Great start to understanding Dresden!

gerchard_p, Dec 2024
Fraser was a great introduction for us to Dresden. He touched on recent history as well as going back to Dresden’s start. I wish I was able to hire him to walk us through some of the museums in town. We appreciated the suggestions for how we could spend the rest of our time in Dresden. We’ll contact him again when we come through Dresden next time. The meeting loc was easy to find.

Response from Host, Dec 2024
