The tour guide was kind, but he did not seem very knowledgeable in the history of the sites and also at times was unprofessional in language. The views and locations themselves were incredible. It was nice to have easy pickup from the hotels, hikes, and great meal included. However, snacks and water were not offered at other times in the hikes as explained in the booking, and it seemed like you were expected to bring your own. Overall, a great way to see the sites and get a meal in the middle, but the tour could benefit from accurate and expanded history.
The guide and driver were very friendly and knowledgeable. We had a great time at each of the locations. Great views at Bastei Bridge (expect it to be crowded). The hike up to Pravcicka gate was about 3km. Beautiful area but could be challenging for non-hikers. The Tisa walls were a really fascinating area with not too many people. Highly recommend! Also the traditional Czech lunch was delicious!

Great trip, amazing experience, beautiful sites and a great hike. Tomas( guide) and Daniel( driver) were quite knowledgable, attentive to our needs , provided ample snacks and water and kept it interesting

It was very pleasant and enjoyable tour.Our guide Josef was taking care and explaining with details. I do recommend to try this tour before the sand Stone Mountains vanishes :)

Really beautiful landscspe sights on this tour making it worthwhile. The guys at Saxon Tours, including young Milo the guide, were professional and friendly, really looked after us well ensuring we had a great experience. Food was excellent, and no hidden costs on the day. Bring change for tips as there are not many opportunities to change money on the Czech side.

Dalibora was friendly, knowledgeable and made the whole trip very interesting. The sights were beautiful. The second stop is a bit of a trek - 3.5 kms with 300m elevation gain, but doable and well work the trek. Even the last stop was interesting. Lunch was very scenic and the food was delicious and hearty. All-in-all this was a worth while trip that I would not have done on my own.

Not as described. Sandstone pinnacles are amazing but there's no castle. Main hike is to see an arch, but very anti- climatic after walking through a burned out forest.

Hi Barb, thank you for your feedback. The tour includes three highlights—Bastei Bridge, Pravčická Gate, and Tisa Rocks. The Pravčická area was partly affected by a fire a few years ago, but trails remain open and safe. We’re glad you enjoyed the sandstone pinnacles and appreciate your comments.
The trip is arranged very nicely. The scenery is beautiful and the lunch is good. Especially both tour guide and driver are very friendly and offered professional service.

The tour is terrific, with a great small group feel, made better by the explanations from the tour guide and the driver (2 staff to 5 guests was excellent, and Barbora was wonderful). The rock formations and sights are interesting, perhaps not mind blowing, but the day was brilliant and I would definitely recommend it. 10km of walking was involved, but the countryside made it all worthwhile.

Me and my family had the best time! The tour was amazing. They picked us up on time at our hotel and from the moment the tour started it was perfect. The drive in between spots wasn’t too long, the hikes were a great length, and the scenery and views were incredible. The lunch was at the cutest restaurant in a small town and the food was delicious! They also offered water and snacks which were greatly appreciated. Loved how smooth the tour went, how amazing our tour guide was, and how great our driver was. I highly recommend booking this tour!

If you’re ever in Dresden and want to get out of the city for a day, this full-day tour to Bohemian and Saxon Switzerland is 100% worth doing. I just got back from it and honestly, it was one of the best day trips I’ve taken — beautiful nature, great guide, and everything was super easy and stress-free. They picked me up right at my hotel in the morning — no rushing to meet points or figuring out trains. The van was clean and comfy, and our guide, Andrea was super friendly and informative from the get-go. It’s a small group tour, so it didn’t feel crowded or rushed at all. Lunch was at a cozy little Czech restaurant with traditional food. I had goulash and dumplings (so good), but they had vegetarian options too. We got back to Dresden in the late afternoon. I was tired in the best way, with a camera full of amazing views and a new appreciation for this part of Europe.

If you are looking for an alternative to a day in Dresden or Prague, this is the trip for you. Milan (company owner and driver) and Andrea (English speaking. guide) were great hosts who did everything possible to make this a memorable trip for everyone. Spectacular rock formations and nature viewing. Lots of education on rocks, trees and plants as well as history of this very interesting region. Really enjoyed getting to know Milan and Andrea, including a visit to their home town in the Czech Republic. Hiking was vigorous but quite manageable (I am a 68 year old in decent shape and had no problem with the hikes). Lunch was surprisingly good. All in all, a great trip!

The hiking is pretty demanding, it is not steep but it’s long road up the mountain. It won’t be a pleasant experience if it rained even the day before.

It's a very beautiful experience. Involves a bit of walking and climbing up a little mountain, but totally worth it. You'll see a beautiful part of Europe, a nice Czech village, a national park and amazing rock formations - all in one day, then get back to Dresden by dusk and enjoy your evening. Totally worth it.

I absolutely loved this tour and can't say enough good things! Andra and Milan were amazingly thoughtful guides - I never felt rushed, we were given some great commentary about the park, lunch was hot, filling, and yummy, and the sites were absolutely fantastic.
We went the first weekend in March so the park (outside the bridge) had a recent snowfall. Andra had "clamp ons" to keep us safe, and we walked / hiked at a comfortable pace to get through the park safely and enjoy the scenery. I was worried about the tour being too strenuous, but it really was fine and Andra kept checking on us to ensure we were okay. The tour duration was perfect as well - we weren't squeezing too much into a day and I'm glad I decided to do this visit from Dresden as opposed to Prague. Highly recommend this tour - you won't regret it! It's a small, intimate group, and Milan also took tons of great pictures for us and sent them over later. Five stars - one of the best tours I've had in a long time!

I had an absolutely amazing time on the Saxon National Park tour! From start to finish, the experience was flawless. The company was well-organized, and our tour guide, Dalibora, was fantastic—knowledgeable, friendly, and made the entire trip engaging and fun. A really terrific day trip out of Dresden. It is great to get out of the city and see the surrounding nature of the Saxon and Bohemia regions. The trip includes a few stops at breathtaking natural formations, drives through chasing small towns and and a wonderful hike, which is mildly strenuous, but not too brutal. The provided restaurant stop/lunch was good, but not memorable. If I have one critique of the trip/suggestion it would be the lunch stop. We stood at a place removed from a town and sort of off the highway, but well off the highway and within a nice space of greenery. I think the trip might be improved and made more memorable by a stop to eat in one of the small towns we drive through to add a cultural element to go along with the day of natural wonders.
Now a word about the guide and the driver: Dalibora (guide) and Daniel (driver) could not have been more pleasant and thoughtful. Dalibora's descriptions of, and obvious love for, the landscapes she shared with us, and the stories of the parks and ruins and built elements within them was extraordinary. She was also utterly charming and showed great care for each individual on the trip. She quickly seemed like a longtime friend rather than someone simply providing a service for us. It was sad to part ways at the end of the trip with this great guide.
Daniel is young, seemingly not even out of his twenties, but he drives with the skill and caution of someone who has been doing it for years. And he's just a great kid. Hi is quite personable and clearly interested in the guests. He also quite clearly likes to laugh and is very funny, but not in a way that distracts him form his important work of ensuring the guests' safety as he drives.
Getting to know these terrific guides was a great additional element to the wonders of the actual trip and the access to the environments that a day out with Saxon Tours provided.

This was a really amazing tour! Dalibora and Daniel were both super friendly and very knowledgeable about the sites at the national parks! We called ahead and told them we’d be bringing our 1 year old daughter and they were very accommodating including bringing a car seat for us. The second hike is a tough uphill slope but no one is rushing you and the sites are well worth it! Food was amazing as well! Would definitely recommend!

Very great hiking trip! The guides were very knowledgeable and friendly! Also very attentive and was there if you needed anything! The lunch was very good and the beer they made was excellent! Trip of a lifetime..be prepared for lots of walking uphill and rocky terrain! It's very worth all the effort if you are healthy and physically able.

What a great trip with our guides Milan and Dalibora to these must-see areas of natural beauty. The Tisa sandstones walls and Bastei Bridge are a sight to behold. The lunch was delicious and the van was safe and comfortable. Highly recommend this Saxon tour company. Will definitely come back for other trips with them.

This tour is value for money. The tour company owner Milan himself drove us around and explained how the different rock formations took shape. Bastei Bridge and Tissa Labyrinth both require quite a bit of walking, but the views within and from these 2 locations are really breathtaking.
The tour cost included water, a small snack and beverage, and between the 2 sites a traditional Czech lunch, pick-up and drop from out hotel in Dresden. As vegetarians, we had a very limited option for lunch, so we didn't really get to taste traditional Czech cuisine.

It was amazing trip.
Firstly, we had an individual driver which took us from our hotel.
Secondly, when we came to Bastei we met an another driver with a guide and other tourists.
The guide told short, important and very interesting moments. If we had some questions then he always knew that to answer us.
Thirdly, we had a big and a delicious lunch. It was a fried chicken which we can’t forget 😅
Fourthly, we went to Tisa rocks and there we had unusual walking with big rocks. It was the very saturation trip.
Finally, we had the perfect day with this guys and this tour. We enjoyed natures all time.
