Red Sightseeing Copenhagen seemed to be closed for the day. No one would accept the voucher at Go Boat harbour tours or anywhere else in that area. I attempted to contact them multiple times via phone and message, but received no response. Additionally, the bus stops at 4 PM, which is not mentioned on the ticket. Ended having to pay for additional tickets

Cruise ship travel and was impressed hop on bus was in cruise port area and accepted my viator pre purchased voucher making it so easy! Loved the stops and was able to spend time at palaces, tivoli gardens and canal tour via this voucher. Wonderful day in Copenhagen

Watch your backs. This tour operator provided no information on how to identify or connect with their bus. After waiting for almost an hour we purchased a ticket with one of the other two bus companies that were continuously coming and going.. Worst of all, Viator did not support us on our attempt to get a refund.

The hop on hop of itself was great, though I had sent 3 messages to the tour operator asking if the bus came out to the cruise terminal for pick ups (black line) wasn’t sure if the ticket we purchased was only for the red line. Apparently it did and we were able to take it to town. All the other stops we stopped at were great

Great canal boat guide! 3 difft companies and all use same red buses - so a bit confusing, the charter company names are small and not obvious on each bus which are all painted red. We used Red (company name) who had fewest buses of 3 companies on routes throughout day. Stromma had most buses (more than a dozen) while Red company only had 3-4 buses on most popular route. Red Company app was good for tracking bus locations, but too few buses. Also without notice - Red company stopped at location 2 at 1800 and we were all asked to leave bus and were told their service ends despite us buying 24 hour tics. We did not expect 24 hour service, but on a busy Friday night in August we expected service to continue at least until 8 or 9 pm. Would recommend Stromma over Red company.

We had difficulty finding the spot to meet the bus and was never able to participate on it..
Was never told from the site the buses stop about 5 or so pm as thought they ran much later.
I have done many hop on off busses in other places and never had a problem.
If we are unable to get to do this tomorrow , hope we get a refund????

Bus weren't as regular as we'd hoped, but was a good way to see all the city and main attractions. Would recommend.

It was okay, but we wasted 3 hours trying to fix the Station 8 location. The map didn't clearly mark it. They could provide a better downloadable map with an interactive walking map compared to the City Sightseeing system.

The experience was phenomenal, we also went on the river cruise which ended the trip off very well.
The whole trip was interesting, Copenhagen is a clean place, the people are friendly and it was lovely to see all the sights.

Terrible! Speakers muffled sound system unclear. Most stops at hotels for pickup . Canal boat a joke! Water ferry was better. Bad excursion don't bother. Viator was awful to chat with!

There are several hop on hop off buses that all look alike except a small sign so its very confusing. The are really not helpful or accommodating for people with disabilities my husband fell trying to board and no one from the tour offered any help. Very frustrating and disappointing a terrible way to start what should have been a fun day.

The city has three different “red” hop on off bus companies. This would be a five star tour if Viator did their job with ticketing. No where on the Viator ticket does it state which of the three companies u booked. We were asked to get off the bus once because the driver was convinced the tickets were for a different company, they weren’t. Our tour “red sightseeing” was clearly displayed on the back side panel of the bus. The audio was good and it was a lovely way to see the town. We got the boat portion too which was also fun. There again, there are several boat companies and finding the right one took a few minutes. That tour is off of stop 8 on the bus tour. Great city, lots of fun

This is NOT a 24 hour bus pass. I don't know what time the bus starts running but they stop at 1800. During the day, there were several buses running and later in the day only 1. Several times we waited for a bus for it to show up too full to get on. This was a total waste of money. We ended up having to get a rather expensive Uber to get us back to our hotel because the last stop was about as far away from our hotel as it could be.

Good trip and tour, headphones a bit cumbersome but all in all very nice, Copenhagen and Aarhus very modern

When visiting Copenhagen refrain from bringing large Cash denominations. Most stores or shops prefer you use a credit card..

Ride the whole route and then ride it again to the stops you want to get off on for certain things. Nice clean bus.

We booked the Hop-On Hop-Off bus with the canal boat tour through Viator and, overall, had a great experience.
The Hop-On Hop-Off bus is a fantastic way to see Copenhagen and get an overview of the city’s major attractions. Our only disappointment was that several of the audio ports on the bus weren’t working properly. We frequently had trouble getting the headphones to work, so we missed much of the commentary along the route.
The canal boat tour, however, was excellent and ended up being the highlight of our day. Our guide, Marlin, was wonderful—friendly, witty, engaging, and knowledgeable. She made the tour both informative and entertaining, and seeing Copenhagen from the water gave us a completely different perspective of the city.
The only confusing part was that our tickets didn’t clearly indicate that the canal tour was included, so we spent some time figuring out where to go and confirming we actually had the boat option. Clearer instructions on the ticket would have made the experience much smoother.
Overall, despite the audio issues on the bus and the confusion about the boat tickets, we would absolutely recommend this tour. The Hop-On Hop-Off bus is a convenient way to explore Copenhagen, and the canal tour is a must-do. Together, they provide a wonderful introduction to this beautiful city.

The bar code on the tickets does not work with the handheld scanner on the bus. Guide is saying we need ticket details. So I had to download the ticket details separately.
Marcia_B, Jul 2026
Nice route. Saw many things around town went twice. It was raining but they were on time. Would ride again
Thomas_S, Jul 2026
Wonderful way to get introduced to Copenhagen. The boat ride option is a must to get the full perspective of of how impressive the city is. The only problem was connecting from bus to boat. The instructions from the driver were vague and there was no clear sign to which vendor would accept our tickets. Once we found the right boat, we had a great tour.
PAUL_A, Jul 2026
Off the cruise port you had to change bus. The bus are suppose every 15 min. Didn’t happen.
Long wait.
Avg wait was 30+ min.
Gary_m, Jul 2026
Nice tour. Only issue was the name of the bus company was not on the ticket and the driver didn’t have a bar code reader. There three different hop on hop off companies.
Laurence_H, Jul 2026
Hop on hop bus an easy way way to sight see. The commentary was very informative. The length of time was sufficient to make this a worthwhile experience
David_B, Jun 2026
Was a bit of confusion about which bus tour we could join, didn’t realise there are various different companies offering different tours.
Overall though, this tour was very interesting and we would recommend using it.
Lynette_W, Jun 2026
Where to hop on and hop off as easy to figure out. All the sites that I was hoping to see were on the list. Easy to hop on and hop off and figure out what we were doing. Would recommend it to anyone.
Maria_f, Jun 2026
We had a great time in copenhagen! Everything went smoothly!! My children lover copenhagen!!!! I enjoyed every minute of it!
Madeline_K, Jun 2026
This is a way to see many attractions if you only have a day to do so. You have to be patient because the bus often keep you waiting a bit longer than you’d like. But, in a full day, you will see the many sights.
Theresa_F, Jun 2026
Boat tour part was great. Although where to find boat to board very difficult. Bus not great. Caters to returning cruise passengers to ships so went therexseveral times before going on scheduled stops. Narration medicre..
michaelbutler_b, Jun 2026
Little information on the initial pick-up point, and none on where to board the boat. However, both tours, and particularly the boat tour, were satisfactory.
Steven_L, Jun 2026
The first stop was closed for a local event. We had to walk to the next stop. My wife walks with a cane so it wasn't pleasant. Then we waited at least 45 minutes and it rained off and on. The tour was not narrated and the driver modified the route. We had booked the canal tour but opted not to go because of the rain and the uncertainty of catching a bus back to where we started.
