Your journey starts mid-morning in Copenhagen with hotel pickup from your hotel in a luxury minibus.
Travel north to your first stop in the city of Helsingør, where you’ll enjoy free time in the city to explore. Spend your time exploring Kronborg Castle of Shakespeare fame, visiting Saint Olaf's Church, or learning about Danish history at the M/S Maritime Museum of Denmark.
Board a ferry with the group and journey across in Sweden, and drive down to Malmö, making a short stop on the way in Lund to see the impressive Lund Cathedral or city’s botanical gardens. Once in Malmö, again enjoy time for a self-guided tour using your audio guide to see sights such as the HSB Turning Torso, Little Square, or Malmo City Hall.
On the drive back to Copenhagen, you’ll cross the Oresund Bridge and even have a quick break for photos on the bridge.

Had a wonderful time! The bus was comfortable and our tour guide Mario was very knowledgeable. It was really nice stopping at so many places - many of which I would have never visited on my own.
I wish we could have had some more time at the Kronborg Castle but it was a long day so I understand why we didn't.
I'm really happy we went on this tour. We didn't have to worry about a thing.

Steen is awesome!! Very knowledgeable and funny, love his sense of humour. Many stops on this tour, you get to see alot! Perfect if you just want a few quick stops in Sweden. Highly recommend the Swedish meatballs and the shrimp sandwich at the Grand Hotel in Lund, Sweden.

Very informative tour guide and driver. All meeting points and departures were right on time. Trip was very organized and covered a lot of territory and information. It’s a great way to see so many sites in one day. I highly recommend.

The driver and tour guide were so friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Commentary was from Tour Guide or from headphones (voice of the tour guide for consistency). They also pointed out locations from Nordic nori crime "The Bridge" and places to go at each stop as well as providing maps etc. Best one day trip i have ever been on. They also provided water (it was a very hot day).

I would like to thank our driver and guide Andy for such a lovely, pleasant and informative trip from start to finish.
We were picked up on time, in a very clean and comfortable bus. Andy kept use informed throughout the journey.
There was a slight delay getting into the ferry over to Sweden, but it was not an inconvenience to the trip.
I was an amazing day out and definitely worth the price.

Kronborg castle tour could be more enjoyable if have some guidance. Driver Mario was nice. Food street was full of diverse foods at Helsingør. it was a nice tour. Cathedral at Lund was closed by chance, so a big disappointment. Malmo was interesting place so was oresund bridge.

This was an absolutely wonderful tour with so much to see and do! The only downside was that there unfortunately wasn’t nearly enough time in each town to experience everything they have to offer. Especially in "Hamlet's town" (Helsingør), we only had enough time to see the castle. The castle itself was amazing, but you probably need double the amount of time to truly see more or explore everything properly. Overall, a fantastic experience that I highly recommend, just be prepared for a fast pace!

This tour is pretty much non-escorted. It’s basically a taxi service from Copenhagen to Hamlets Castle and into two cities in Sweden. The driver was very pleasant and professional and would answer questions when asked but that was really the only interaction with him. There was an audio presentation during the bus trip and while interesting it seemed vaguely similar to a college lecture on Swedish and Danish history. Absolutely nothing was included in this tour other than travel to/from and a bottle of water. The towns we were dropped off in while beautiful all seemed very similar with not much to occupy the time except churches and cafes. If you want to check Sweden off of your list and are only looking for transportation then this would be a good choice. If you are interested in a guided tour, this is not the right one.

I had a great trip with Viator tour guy , STEEN . He was very good to tell us places we went to . He was very nice , good and safe to travel with . Very polite and friendly as well . Specially , I want Viator team to know . STEEN is very good , kind person . I dropped my money pouch in the bus and didn’t know . Steen called and brought my money pouch to hotel for me . This is so nice of him . I am lucky and I really appreciated Steen .

Most of the support is while driving from one place to another. There is minimal support when you actually reach the destinations. Also, a lot of things are mentioned in the post but it is impossible to do them all in the time limit and most of them cost additional money.

This was one of the best day tours I took from Copenhagen. In one well-organized day, we visited Kronborg Castle, crossed into Sweden, and explored both Lund and Malmö.
Kronborg Castle was a major highlight, especially with its connection to Shakespeare’s Hamlet and its strategic location along the Øresund Strait. Lund added a completely different experience, with its historic university town atmosphere, charming streets, and beautiful cathedral. Malmö was also a great stop, offering a mix of old-world charm, modern architecture, and waterfront views.
Our guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and kept the day moving smoothly while sharing helpful historical and cultural context. Transportation was comfortable, and the itinerary offered an excellent balance of history, architecture, scenery, and free time.
I highly recommend this tour for anyone visiting Copenhagen who wants to experience Denmark and Sweden in one day without the stress of arranging transportation independently.

Great tour - interesting and educational. Tour guide - Steen was wonderful (other than understanding him at times due to his accent; maybe he should slow down a bit). Not a great tour for young children. I love children, but there was a very fussy and loud boy on the trip and he was very vocal the whole time.

Our Hamlet & Sweden tour was hands‑down one of the best day trips we’ve ever taken. Good experience seeing Hamlet’s castle and two towns in Sweden. I especially enjoyed visiting Lund in Sweden but I wish we had more time there. Malmö was ok, but more for shopping and a little less history/charm. One downside was the total tour length was 10 hours… much longer than the 8 hours advertised. Our tour guide was very passionate about the subject matter but this resulted in a much longer tour than what was comfortable for us.
