We had an amazing time throughout this whole half day tour. It was just me and my husband and the intimate setting felt great as we got nore 1 on 1 time with the 3 elephants. Getting to feed the elephants, watch them bathe in the river, and roam freely was incredibly exciting. To finish it off by getting a chance to relax by a waterfall was great. Lunch of Pad Thai at the end was excellent. Our tour guide Fluke was awesome, really knew his history, and gave great insight into the care that is put into taking care of these beautiful creatures. Definitely recommend for anyone looking to support this small family business.

It was a fun trip, and our guide, Fluke, was kind and knowledgeable. Mr. Teet is an excellent driver too. We were able to see, feed, pet, walk and wash the elephants. Hiked to a waterfall, and were treated to an amazing lunch. The drive is 90 minutes each direction, but the van was comfortable and air-conditioned. They stopped for a 15 minute break, to stretch our legs and use facilities. If you love nature and want to see a bit of the rural side of Chiang Mai area, this is the trip for you.

Hi meeting the elephants was fantastic, feeding them was fun too, a short stroll with one of the elephants to the river watching it enjoy a cool down was amazing. The waterfall part even though it's a nice little waterfall seems irrelevant to the trip and in my opinion isn't required. The dinner afterwards would have been great if hot but cold pad Thai and fries was a let down to be honest.

The experience was pretty cool. Feeding the Elephants was so cool. The waterfall, without more truth, is an area like mini waterfalls, the fresh water clear. To get your feet wet and sweat out a little bit. The food included pretty well, really.

Thank you very much for sharing your feedback. We are truly sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations, and we would like to clarify a few points to avoid any misunderstanding for future guests.
At E-co Adventure Camp, our elephants live freely in the natural mountain area behind the camp, where they can roam, forage, bathe, and rest throughout the day. The front area near the entrance is only the meeting point for guests and not the elephants’ full living space. Our elephants are never chained, never forced, and never ridden, and they are cared for daily by our local mahouts who stay with them at all times.
Regarding the young 4-year-old elephant, our team explained that elephants of this age should not walk long uphill distances for safety reasons. This may have caused some confusion, and we sincerely apologize if the explanation was unclear.
As for the waterfall, it is a natural jungle stream rather than a large tourist waterfall. Some guests enjoy its peaceful and natural setting, while others may find it smaller than expected. We appreciate your feedback and will work on improving our communication so expectations are clearer.
We are also very sorry to hear that your meal was not warm. This is not the standard we aim for, and we have already addressed this with our kitchen team to ensure it does not happen again.
Thank you again for your review. Although we are saddened that we were not able to provide the experience you hoped for, your feedback is valuable in helping us improve and communicate our practices more clearly.
Warm regards,
E-co Adventure Camp Team

We have spent a wonderful day together with the elephants, learning a lot about them and taking care of them thanks to our guide Poppy

In the morning I was picked up at the hotel on time and after collecting more people we went with a stopover at a rest stop to buy insect spray and go to the toilet already towards the jungle. Our guide Mr. Poppy was able to tell us quite a bit about the elephants and their protection in recent years. The experience of getting so close to the gentle giants, even being able to feed them, was great. We even walked with the 3 animals on site a bit to the river and could see them bathing. After a flood last year, much of the actual sanctuary was destroyed and so it was only a small walk with the elephants. However, these can also go to the river or the other side independently at any time. It is only made sure that they do not cross the borders to other protected areas and get into a fight with other herds of elephants.
Afterwards, the group was divided depending on who had booked the rafting and who had booked the waterfall trip. I can only recommend the latter. The waterfall is a peaceful secluded corner and a true little paradise for splashing and sliding on the washed-out stones. Rather unsuitable for children, however, as it is very slippery and there is a risk of bumping or losing grip.
I am grateful for the tour and would Enterprise it again.
