The walk was pretty easy and we got to see the walled city and Getsemane. Our guide was knowledgeable and taught us so many things . He made the tour interesting by making it interactive.

The private walking tour with Karen was just outstanding. Karen was a fantastic tour guide. She really made the Walled City and Getsemani come alive for us. We learned about the history and culture, tried some local candies and even went to someone's house for homemade ice pops which was so cool. We absolutely loved the walled city and Getsemani. She also did things for us on the fly. I wanted to buy Colombian coffee as a gift, and she took us to a cafe/store that was the most awarded coffee in Colombia. There were only three of us on this tour and the experience with Karen was A+! Highly, highly recommend!

We went to Cartagena for my birthday last year (oops!) and wanted to experience as much as possible. This tour allowed us to learn about the different neighborhoods and culture through the eyes of a local. We enjoyed it and would recommend it. Alvaro, our guide gave a is a great tour of Getsemaní and the Walled City, combining Cartagena history and present day sites. He was very helpful in accommodating us when we needed to walk a bit more slowly and rest. He seemed to know everyone around the city and made great recommendations of other things we could do and places to eat for the rest of our trip.

Our guides, Alvaro and Legaxy were fantastic resources! They were on time to pick us up at the hotel and given the size of our group, made arrangement for us to get back to the hotel after the tour. The tour included some fun extras like sampling local sweets and beer. They made the tour even more interesting by teaching us some Columbian dances. Highly recommend!

It was a great way to learn more about Colombia and the Walled City. There were so many things I wouldn’t have known about the history had we not booked this tour. The Tour Guide Al was well spoken in English and even gave us a recommendation for a restaurant which was amazing!! We also needed to change the day of our tour and Viator was very accommodating to our large group!! Thank You!

Wonderful private tour with Mercedes! We had a great time learning about the history of Cartagena as well as trying some local sweets. Mercedes was very knowledgeable and fun, interactive and overall enjoyable experience. Highly recommend for a morning tour before the cruise ships unload and the sun gets too hot.

Manuel did a great job explaining the history of the city. He was very nice and enthusiastic. He is a very good story teller. I would recommend others to ask him to show you the names on the important people in his stories in writing so it is easier to grasp who is who. Names can be complex.

Camilo is a terrific guide! We walked through the walled city and Getsemani. Highlights included the many street murals in Getsemani, the park the Bolivar’s statue and the monkeys in the park!

Everything about this tour was great. Driver was running late, we received constant updates until the time of pick up. Alvon was our tour guide and he was absolutely amazing. He took his time explaining the history and culture of each area we visited and graciously took pictures of us along the way. He let us taste some of the local drinks at taught us the phrase "lan-yappa" (maybe not be spelled correctly, but means "refill for free!" 😂). All in all, my husband and I had a great time discovering Cartagena with Alvon. Thanks so much again for this amazing tour experience!!

Oscar picked us up promptly and took us to meet our tour guide, Dimas. It was a scorcher and my daughter and I were almost regretting booking the tour but so happy we decided to brave the heat. Dimas was a wonderful guide and told us so much about the history of Getsemani. It's truly beautiful and despite the heat, we really enjoyed our tour.

Dimas was wonderful.
He was warm and knowledgeable.

This was a great introductory walk in the Walled City.
Pro-tips:
- bring bottled water with you. It's a sweaty experience first thing in the morning
- Bring some tip money. there are some local palenqueras who would love to take photos with you as you learn about their history. a tip is appreciated by them.
- tip your tour guide
- take your time! it's a wonderful experience...you will be bombarded by street sellers...everywhere in Cartagena. "No, gracias" is totally ok.

The best guided tour I have ever taken. Our guide was so knowledgeable, accommodating, and patient. We saw a sloth with her baby in the trees, went through several market squares, saw the hanging umbrellas and flags, and so much more! I would recommend this tour operator to all of my friends.
