Our trip to South Wales - Cliffs and castles on 13 Sep 2025 was a wonderful experience through Viator was a wonderful experience. It took us off the beaten track and was time well spent. Mr Max, who was our guide cum driver, did an amazing job in explaining various aspects of everything we saw. He was very knowledgeable, helpful and courteous. We would certainly recommend this tour to all our friends who intend visiting UK / Wales.

The scenery was very beautiful. The variety was really good. Seeing the cliffs and castle ruins was great. Only negative was we could not understand the driver as he had a thick accent. Not welsh.

As you mentioned, he didn’t spoke Welsh — which, ironically, would have made it even more difficult to understand for non-Welsh speakers. We appreciate that traveling outside of the U.S. means encountering a variety of English accents, and we understand that this can sometimes be a challenge. However, in the hundreds of tours we run each year, we've never received complaints about our guides' accents, which leads us to believe this may be more about your perception than a broader issue with our service. A jam-packed day

The tour was interesting and jam-packed. In fact, I would suggest more time be assigned to Caerphilly Castle and Sain FFagan. I was rushing around and still couldn't cover all the ground at each of these locations. Max was a great guide. He was knowledgeable, chatty and friendly. He also led hikes up and down the cliffs.
