Itinerary

Meet your guide outside your central Cape Town hotel and then hit the road to Cape Point. The drive along the coast offers views of mountains and beaches en route to scenic Hout Bay. Then you are on the famous (and famously gorgeous) Chapman's Peak Road, which connects Hout Bay and Noordhoek. Time permitting, visit the penguin colony at Boulders Beach (own expense).

Arrive at the Cape Point Nature Reserve and continue on to Cape Point. Enjoy some free time to walk up to the old lighthouse for the best views over the Atlantic Ocean. The rocky cliffs here have claimed many ships over the years—the area certainly earned its nickname of ‘Cape of Storms.’

Back in the vehicle, make your way back toward Cape Town from Cape Point through False Bay and Simons Town, a historic South African navy base. Drive through Muizenburg, a popular beach resort town, before arriving back in central Cape Town.

Mukhtar May Magical Trip

You get a guide than you get Mukhtar. From set go he A Amazing. Some guides just read off their manual scripts but not Mukhtar you can hear how informative he was he left out no detail. He answered all our questions. At every stop the history that he give us was impressive. If you guys have a jewel or rather me use a rare diamond it's Mukhtar May. Until now we speak about this amazing gentleman. He has left a ever fix mark in our hearts. I would recommend him any day. He was brilliant I tell you brilliant. Well done Mukhtar you are truly a unique individual and your knowledge of Cape Town is nothing but remarkable..God bless you and may you grow from strength to strength

Our guide Ashely was great. We had 5 other guests in the van plus the two of us. We were the first guests picked up at 8am and dropped off last at 1.45pm. The half day tour is too quick. You do not get a chance to get out and view or photograph much. It was mainly driving and looking through the window. When you get to the Cape of Good Hope - it's so crowded. The group ended up skipping the penguins as 3 from the van had to be back at 1.30pm for a Township Tour. The tour was rushed. Ashely was great and very friendly. His commentary was spot on. He apologized for not seeing the penguins - but again due to timing and also the group decided not to try to see them, all good. Try and offer a full day, with coffee breaks, light lunch and more getting out of the car. This tour would suit those who prefer seeing all from the window.

Overall a good experience. Driver was experienced and knew his facts. Its a lot of driving for the sights you see along the way, but it's understandable. The driver was cranky at times, not as friendly as you might Hope. Overall we had a good time and we are glad we took the tour.

Guide very good but disappointed with Cape of Good Hope, not sure what I was expecting but it was an anti climax. Great not to have to drive though and the scenery was beautiful.Cape Point better. Boulder penguins too commercialised preferred Betty's Bay.

Pamela W, Feb 2016
It's not the tour's fault - a half-day just isn't enough time to actually see everything. Basically in this half-day tour you drive for a bit then run in, take a picture and leave. Repeat that about 10 times and there's your day. Take the full-day tour instead!!! If you are traveling to Cape Town then these spots are a must see, just give yourself enough time to actually enjoy it. The tour itself was good. They picked me up on-time, I felt very safe important since I was traveling alone, and the driver/guide was very nice. The company was great about changing the date of my tour last minute my shark cage diving had to be changed due to the weather and so all of my other tours had to be moved around. This tour is great value for the money.

Mostly driving tour, but otherwise a great tour. Great scenic views, baboons, and penguins. Recommend if want to see the sights on a condensed tour, but if you want more time to yourself and more walking the full day tour is probably better for you.

This was a short 4-hour tour, but very enjoyable despite its short duration. The guide was extremely knowledgeable, and keen to answer any question. It actually is more like a road trip, with two nice stops: the penguins colony and Cape point. It really was what I was looking for!

I really enjoyed this tour, I was collected on time by Leonard, who was a most entertaining and informative tour guide. The scenery on the way to Cape Point was magnificent, with time for a photo stop, and a visit to the Boulders Penguin Park. I was wanting to visit Cape Point in particular and was not disappointed with the scenery. Leonard was also obliging and dropped me at Sahara Park Newlands, so I could continue onto the cricket. I would travel with this company again.

We had a great tour with our guide who's name is Super just like Superman. He was very knowledgeable and did excellent job of driving and explaining all the details along wth way. The Cape is incredible along with the penguins, ostrichs, and baboons. The Cape light house is a great tour and as scenic as it gets. Thanks Super for a great day and also for dropping us off at the Green Market in town.

ROHIT_S, Mar 2013
This tour was more like 3/4th of a day. Well worth it for the price. It was perfectly timed for all the must see places in Capetown and the guide stopped in places we requested to take lots of pictures. If you don't have a full day to spare, then this is the tour to take.

DAVID K, Mar 2013
This was a good tour and I'm glad we went, but it really is barely doable as a half day. We were delayed about an hour leaving Cape Town because of no shows at several hotels (not the driver's fault--he couldn't find the people with confirmed reservations and even went back to a hotel a second time to look for them). The driver add time on the back end--we didn't get back to our hotel until after 2:00 p.m. Having said that, please note that about 2/3 of the tour is driving. We only had about 20 minutes in the Cape Point area--not enough time to get up to the lighthouse. We had about the same amount of time to see the penguins. If you just can't spend the time on the full-day tour, definitely take this tour, but be prepared for a lot of driving and not much time to walk around. Also, the tour was conducted with a minibus (no restroom)--a full size bus would have been more comfortable. Driver was knowledgeable and tried hard to please.

With only a half day to spare, this trip ticked all our boxes. We saw the penguins at Boulder Beach, the Cape of Good Hope and travelled along the picturesque Chapmans Drive. The driver also helpfully dropped us off in a different part of Cape Town for a late lunch.

Loved the tour Only thing was they were an hour late picking us up as a firm called African Eagle had taken the booking from Springbok Atlas. We were told to be ready for 8am but then were sent a message to say it would be 850am and when the coach had not arrived by 9 am our reception rang the firm and they said they were on their way. Although it was a mini bus and was a bit rushed as it was a long way we did enjoy it. Our driver was good and funny.
