Great place for kids to learn about wildlife however on the downside the animals looked bored to me.

Makes a visit to the park quick with fast access. Just had to go to the admissions person who verifies your passes and your off. Excellent to visit in a Fall setting .

Hadn’t been to heritage park for about 12 years. Really enjoyed the newer energy and coal mining exhibits. View from there of the reservoir and mountains was beautiful. Fairly new laundry building on Main Street was really well done and interpreter in the laundry was excellent. Interpreter in the woodworking shop was also excellent. Also really enjoyed building with historic road and construction equipment. And the train buildin with restored engines and passenger cars. Baked goods from bakery are as good as ever

So much to do, even for seniors. We rode the train, paddleboat, went to the amusement park and rode the Ferris wheel and merry-go-round, and the horse drawn wagon, and toured the antique railway cars. Capped it off with a delicious dinner at the signature restaurant. September was the perfect time to visit - glorious weather and small crowds. Kids were having a blast, and there was even a wedding on the grounds that day.

The park was in a beautiful location and the historical re-enactments were educational. We really enjoyed the boat ride as well!

I was amaze by the collection of vintage cars and trucks housed in one roof!
We enjoyed both riding in the train and also Moyie (the boat).
I took several photo of different old structures in the village- it was fun!
The park personnel have dressed in nice costumes were very entertaining.
The food in main dining hall was not as good as expected although the service is great.

The detail of the reconstruction of this gold rush era village is amazing. The volunteers and staff played their parts to perfection and the variety was quite amazing. The printer was particularly interesting and the demonstration of type-setting quite a revelation.

We had a great day out at the park. We didn’t expect to be there so long but really enjoyed ourselves. All the staff were super friendly and gave lots of information.

We found our visit to Gasoline Alley museum and a walk along Main street to be what we enjoyed the most.

We enjoyed the museum of transportation immensely! We road the steam engine and walked around some. Many of the activities were more appealing for younger children. The grounds were clean with pretty landscaping.

We enjoyed Heritage Park very much. The train ride, wagon ride, Ferris wheel, costumed characters and all the buildings were very interesting. The bakery had huge cinnamon rolls. Lots of people but managed very well. Friendly staff and really brought history back to life. Gasoline alley had many beautiful old vehicles and signage from yesteryear. We were there for 5 hours n

We loved the Nellie McClung house, the schoolhouse, the carousel. Most if all, we enjoyed the train ride and talking to the various employees who provided so much wonderful historical information.
BALRAJ_T, Aug 2023
Gasoline Alley was excellent as were all the old buildings resurrected at the site along with the steam railway. Unfortunately on the day the steamboat was out of operation. But for those with children it also provides an education into the past and for example the dangers of mining. Plenty to see and photograph with numerous refreshment sites. Most of the staff were superb like Janice and Brian but one or two need a little less reticence but that may have been because they were young. Overall a superb place to visit for natives and visitors.

Very educational and staff were informative for the time periods.
Truly enjoyed the building of old automobiles and related artifacts.

Great place!! Too big to see and do all in one day!! Awesome for families, something for everyone!! Family and grandchildren, loved bakery and candy store!!
Juanita_R, Sep 2021
I’ve been to Heritage Park many times with my own children and now I’ve taken a granddaughter with me. There’s so much to see and do, I usually find one day isn’t enough to take it all in. During this visit there were less actors and actresses role playing throughout the park.

lovely day out, lots to do and see, step back in time and ride the steam train, also a paddle boat ride which was amazing.

Even on a cold snowy day this was a very interesting visit. Staff were very helpful and knowledgable

Enjoyable, interesting. Loved going back and seeing what it would have been like to live in a pioneer town.

Awesome Historical Park. It provides a glimpse of the past thru preserved houses and castles and old buildings of businesses from 1800 century. Steam train ride is fantastic. The train ride to get us to the gate of the park is an amazing feature that costs 1.00 CAD per pax/per ride. Highly recommended for those who enjoys activities under the heat of the sun.

The staff was helpful and informative. Although we could only visit Gasoline Alley and the Plaza, my wheelchair went everywhere. I would recommend Heritage Park to someone visiting Calgary.

Stuff to do for all ages. It was a great day and my kids loved it. The staff were very pleasant and all dress in traditional clothing and they knew their history. The old steam train and paddle boat were fantastic. The lunch we had in the Hotel Wainwright was lovely and lots of it in a lovely setting. Well worth a visit.
