BEST FISHING EXPERIENCE // CABO BUCKET LIST

Wow! My father and I went out fishing with this crew and we were so impressed and had such a fun day. Paulo was gracious and thoughtful enough to offer us a ride from our hotel near the Marina which was such a relief so we didn’t need to go searching for the right boat. Paulo wasn’t able to join us that day but he set us up with his son and a fantastic deck hand! They both were amazing and knew all the right spots for us to get some fish. They were working so hard the entire trip to try different areas, different lures, different rigs, everything! They really wanted to make sure we had a great experience and they 100% delivered. They asked us what we were hoping to get and we said Dorado and Marlin, and that is exactly what we got! On top of that, we caught Giant Mackrel and Skipjack. We saw the sunrise, had some great conversations, got some fish, and headed back home so happy and appreciative of a day well spent. Later, we took the Dorado and Giant Mackrel to our hotel’s restaurant to get cooked, and it was delicious. There is nothing like some fresh caught fish to feed the family. I am not an early bird, but I don’t mind waking up to go fishing with my dad and Paulo’s crew at 5:30 am when I get to have days like these. Thank you! Highly recommend booking with this crew!

We had a great fishing trip and the crew and captain Paulo know what they’re doing! Paulo was also good at communicating and provided transportation to the marina for us! (but not back fyi) just beware of all the extra fees. Pretty sure a one day fishing license is cheaper than what we paid considering the cost was on the printout. Also had to pay a dock fee to board the boat we already paid for, and paid for live bait which can be typical. If you’ve done deep sea fishing before, Mexico might do things differently…we were not able to sell off any fish or receive any type of discount for it and whatever you don’t take the captain keeps. In the past we have been able to sell of fish/meat to the markets or fisherman or received some form of discount etc. from the trip. Something to keep in mind when tipping as we tipped before knowing this and also gave up a very very large amount of premium meat for free. You will also pay for whatever fish you do keep, allowing them to cut it up for you is not free (some places are free and some have also charged in the past based off personal experience)

The best part of the trip was the experience of catching a Striped Marlin. We also had a seal hitchhike on the back of the boat that was fun to see. The captain and crew were knowledgeable, professional and very helpful.
