This was such an incredible experience. Carlos was an amazing guide who truly went above and beyond to make the trip memorable. Carols was knowledgeable, encouraging, and clearly passionate about the area. The landscape was absolutely stunning, with views that made every step worth it.
If you choose the more difficult hike option, just be prepared for a good amount of bouldering and scrambling. It’s definitely adventurous and physically demanding, but also a lot of fun if you’re up for the challenge.
Overall, this was an unforgettable experience, and I can’t recommend it enough.

Carlos excellent, great communication, made for very personalized experience that could accommodate different levels of fitness and prioritize what you wanted out of the experience. Lobster tacos and mango margaritas were worth the hype.

Had a great day with Carlos! Very informative and adventurous. Whatever you feel up to he is more than willing to accommodate. We went to the secret hot springs and traveled back over the boulders along the river, such an amazing time. The river is so refreshing and the hot springs amazing. Thank you for a great day!

So nice to get away from touristy area of Cabo and into wilderness!
Max was a great guide with lots of knowledge. We had a wonderful time hiking and eating!

What a fabulous hike in a beautiful secluded natural area. Carlos is the best, most knowledgeable guide! We could not have done the hike without him. After a long day of exploring hot springs, waterfalls, and learning about the native plants and animals, we finished our amazing day with the absolute best guacamole and lobster tacos.

Max the tour guide was perfect. He met each moment with the perfect amount of care and service. The hike was really dope. Definitely take the challenging path it’s really worth it.

Max took us on an unforgettable private adventure to the Santa Rita Hot Springs, easily one of the most unique experiences we’ve had in Baja. We stopped in Santiago to see the oasis of green palms before heading deep into the Sierra de la Laguna, far off the typical Cabo tourist track.
He led us on a beautiful hike up the river, scaling up through granite rocks to a deserted swimming hole with a waterfall. The natural pools were absolutely magical, an unexpected paradise tucked into the middle of the arid Baja landscape.
Max tailored the whole day to our family, knowing we spend a lot of time outdoors back home, and it made the experience feel personal and perfectly paced. We wrapped up with incredible lobster tacos, which honestly should be their own tour.
If you’re an adventurous traveler looking for something raw, remote, and real, Max is your guy.

Great way to see and enjoy some nature in the Cabo area. It’s about a 90 min drive and flexible for all level of hikers.

This is a must do if you enjoy getting off the beaten path and away from the tourist area. Carlos was our private guide and did a great job of telling and showing us interesting things on the way to the Hot Spring. There were hardly any people at the site that day which was very nice. The Hot Spring was about 100-102 degrees and the river beside it was plesantly cold. Swimming to the waterfall up Spring was delightful. It was such a good experience that we are going back next week and taking our friends. We are 79 years old and were able to do the hike to the Spring. Wear sturdy shoes for hiking and maybe another pair of flip flops for walking around the Spring area. There is a small room for changing and a clean outhouse. Carlos is very good with helping with balancing while crossing rocks.

Max was amazing and very knowledgeable! Highly recommend him for a guide! We were given options once getting to hiking spot and got to pick what we wanted to do most, we got to go to hot springs and go see the waterfall where I lost my shades but Max grabbed his snorkeling gear and quickly found them! After the tour we got the best Mexican food we've ever had, after that we tried a few different unique kinds of ice cream that were delicious. If your in the area I recommend doing this hike right away when you get there and get his expertise in the area and ideas of all the hot spots

The tour guide was the owner and he was great. He showed up on time and explained the towns and mountains along the way. The ride was about 1.5 hours. He gave us the option of doing the hot springs or hiking to the waterfall and we chose the waterfall because it was hot outside already. He came with cold water and protein granola bars. The waterfall was beautiful and we got to swim in it. Then we hiked some more to the top of the waterfall and a natural slide that my son went down. The hike was moderately strenuous but beautiful. He explained some plants and animals. I would recommend the local restaurant after the hike. It had great food and reasonable prices. We were back by 2:30pm. I’m so glad we did the hike and would do the hot springs in the winter time.

Awesome hike and get away to see more of the country. The natural springs were great and the restaurant Carlos took us too was outstanding. Lobster tacos and Mango margaritas! Carlos was terrific!!👍👍👍would HIGHLY recommend this excursion as a break from the city.

This excursion was absolutely amazing from start to finish! Carlos was knowledgeable, friendly, and made this an exceptional experience. He went above and beyond to make our experience unforgettable. Everything was well organized, and we got to see and do so much more than expected. The scenery was breathtaking, the hot springs were unforgettable, and the local culture was shared in such a genuine way. The lobster taco lunch was excellent. I would highly recommend this excursion to anyone visiting Mexico!

A Perfect Day in Cabo – Highly Recommend!
We traveled as a group of 12 across 3 families, including (2) kids ages 5–7, (4) teens ages 12–15, and 6 adults. We were looking for a fun and memorable excursion during our cruise stop in Cabo—and this tour exceeded every expectation!
Pre-Excursion: 10/10
The booking process was seamless. I accidentally booked the wrong date, but Viator made it incredibly easy to change it. We booked the tour six months in advance, and as the date approached, communication with the tour operator, Max, was outstanding. He provided clear details on where to meet, what to expect, and answered all my follow-up questions promptly—usually within a day.
Excursion Day: 10/10 (Honestly, more like 20/10)
Max kept in contact via WhatsApp, making it easy to find him once we got off the tender. He welcomed us and led us to a clean, air-conditioned van stocked with water, soda, and beer. We also met Carlos, who co-led the tour and was just as fantastic.
Since the weather was unexpectedly hot and humid (86°F+), Max and Carlos offered us three options:
1. The original hot springs,
2. A 45-minute hike to scenic pools, or
3. A shorter 20-minute hike to a pool with a waterfall.
We chose the waterfall—and we’re so glad we did. Max and Carlos went above and beyond to ensure we had an unforgettable time. They guided us over rocks, helped the brave ones jump into the water, climbed with our GoPro to get amazing footage, and even helped recover a phone someone dropped in the pool!
After our waterfall adventure, we stopped at a phenomenal local restaurant before returning to the ship. The food was outstanding—our group ordered nachos, quesadillas, meat tacos, and lobster tacos. Every dish was packed with flavor and perfectly cooked. The fresh mango margaritas were next level!
Final Thoughts:
Max and Carlos were exceptional guides who read our group perfectly. They were kind, fun, and clearly passionate about giving guests a memorable experience. Thanks to them, we made lifelong memories. If you’re in Cabo for the day, don’t hesitate—book this tour! Our group of 12 gives it our highest recommendation.

If your tour guide isn’t Carlos, then you’re doing it all wrong! Not only does this man have the purest soul and loves what he does. He will make sure you feel safe, comfortable and get your monies worth. It was truly an experience I wouldn’t have changed one thing about. (Even though it’s not expected don’t forget to tip!! It is well deserved)

You have many levels of how to enjoy the hot springs. From taking it easy at the lower springs that was an easy walk from the car or hiking to the more secluded one. Our guide also gave us privacy as well and if we needed help they were in shouting distance.

Absolutely wonderful experience. Carlos was amazing and we 100% recommend asking for him. He took us on the longest version of the route, stopping at various waterfalls and springs for a swim. We were greeted with beautiful views at each point, and Carlos made sure to take lots of videos of us when we went swimming so we now have those videos as wonderful memories to look back on. He was also very funny and knowledgeable about the local area, and he was very happy to answer all our questions. Even though we did the longest version of the excursion, it was super doable fitness wise (we were 3 college seniors with average fitness levels) so we would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a couple of hours of walking across rocks. It's pretty much all flat and since we were getting into the water at regular stops, it wasn't too hot even with the sun at full strength. This was my favourite thing we did in our whole week in Cabo, and it's fully worth the money!! Thanks so much to Carlos for making it such a memorable and enjoyable experience!!

Great hike with a great guide who customized the hike for our fitness level— we went longer and further up trail and had our own private oasis!

Carlos was an outstanding guide! We enjoyed the hike and the hot springs. We learned a lot about the terrain. Carlos was very friendly and knowledgeable. We highly recommend this experience.

What a fantastic experience!! Our guide Carlos picked us up at our hotel. The tour was private and completely at our pace which was so nice. The car was a newer, comfortable, compact SUV. We stopped at a store on the way to get drinks and snacks that were kept on ice in a cooler. Carlos was very knowledgeable and used the drive time to tell us about the tour and what to expect. Once we got to the mountains we stopped at a lookout of a very large natural oasis to take some photos then continued on to the hot spring area that is adjacent to a ranch. It was a short hike through a camping area that had toilets and changing rooms, down to the river and hot spring. We climbed around on the rocks, swam in the river to a small waterfall. The water was cool and clear. The hot spring pools were next to the river. The pools were not too deep and it was easy to find a comfy spot to sit and recline in the very warm, mineral rich water. After swimming and soaking there were plenty of places to relax and dry off. After changing into dry clothes, we drove Baja-style through back roads to the town of Miraflores to Los Agaves for a late lunch. The food and drinks were fresh and delicious. We enjoyed mango margaritas, guacamole and chips, lobster tacos and flan. On the drive back to our hotel, our guide stopped to show us his favorite beach in San Lucas, which we then visited the next day.

Carlos was great! Highly recommend this tour with Carlos. He let us decide what we wanted to do, and how far we wanted to hike. We will definitely be doing many more tours with Carlos!

Carlos is an adventure seeker like me and he made the trip fun and memorable. Loved the restaurant he recommended for lunch afterwards. Definitely recommend this excursion.

This was so much fun. We had a great day with Carlos. He was so kind, informative and helpful. While the drive to the hot springs is an about an hour or so away, it’s worth the trip out of the busy Los Cabos area. I would highly recommend this company, excursion, and Carlos!!!

This was something a bit different and off the beaten track from other activities we did. Carlos, the guide, really made it a great experience. He was very focused on making it a great day for us, modifying the activities to fit our needs, and sharing information about Mexico. Our comfort was definitely a top priority to him. We are not big hikers, but it was manageable, and well worth it to enjoy the lagoon and waterfall.
Jina_M, May 2024
I enjoyed the tour and would do it again. My group stayed at the lower springs which were very beautiful. I ask lots of questions and the tour guide was very informative and friendly.

An experience of a lifetime. Carlos really took the time to.show us around and make sure all our needs were met. He was probably the most thoughtful tour guide I've had. He's down for adventure and making sure we're having the best time. The beauty of the natural hot springs and waterfalls is like no other and great for the skin and clarity of the mind. He toom us to get local ice cream and best fish tacos this side of Mexico has to offer. You won't regret this booking 🔥
