We were on this hike in mid-January and had a great time! Carlos was a fantastic guide and showed us a lot of the backcountry as well as the waterfall, and surrounding area. We swam in the plunge basin at the waterfall and almost had the place to ourselves. Carlos was very knowledgeable about the local flora and showed us many native plants.
My wife had two knee-replacements and was nervous about the hike down to the waterfall, but the path is well marked and Carlos made sure she was steady at all times on the trail. The trail is mostly rocky steps and dirt path and can be steep. The hike was well worth the view that you get at the end and the experience of the waterfall and basin.
We drove through the desert roads on the way to lunch and saw a small town. Lunch was at a restaurant in Miraflores and was delicious. I highly recommend the lobster tacos!
All in all, this was a great way to see parts of Baja California Sur that we otherwise would not have seen. You might find other tour options that cost less but the guide may not be as attentive and knowledgeable about the area. We found this excursion was well worth what we paid and the day was one of the highlights of our trip.

Max was awesome. Very knowledgeable about everything we saw. He took great care of us taking us to the waterfall and lunch after. I would definitely recommend this trip. The hike was not too difficult but he could change it to more advanced and longer. Take time to go. It is awesome. I think we are going to have Max for surf lessons next time.

Max was amazing and took us to an area I’d Cabo tha we would have never seen before with nice natural pools for swimming and waterfalls. It was an amazing day topped off by a great lunch with the best lobster tacos. I would highly recommend this tour.

Carlos ( and I am sure his business partner Max) was an amazing guide. Understood the skill level of the travelers and took us on a beautiful hike on hidden trails to view and swim in natural pools and view spectacular waterfalls. We also learned about the many types of granite in the nature preserve and about the healing powers of plants.
Overall an amazing experience that we would not have done on our own considering the rugged terrain and the sandy roads that lead us there.

This hike was truly exceptional, the highlight of our trip! Our guide Carlos was kind and accommodating, and it was so clear he really knew his stuff. I was a little hesitant to take my 71yo mom on this hike, but Carlos really tailored the trip to her capabilities and got us even farther than we expected to go. You'll be in good hands if you book this trip and I can guarantee you'll enjoy it!

Our guide Carlos went above and beyond during our excursion. Showing us much more than the hike/waterfall. The hike was pretty hard and the heat was scorching but jumping in at different places made it bare able. He is quite the climber and an excellent photographer.

Carlos was the most amazing guy ever. Not only was he knowledgeable about the area, but he made sure we were well taking care of providing water and snacks. If you were going to do this hike, make sure you are in good physical health. It is well worth it! We will definitely be booking with Carlos again!

Fantastic day! Max was really knowledgable, very accommodating anx great to spend the day with.

This was an absolutely amazing experience. Carlos picked us up and immediately asked us what kind of hike we were looking for, so he could cater the day specifically to our needs. We are active people and were looking for a rigorous hike, and were provided exactly what we asked for. The scenery was gorgeous and there were plenty of places to stop to take pictures and take it all in. Carlos made sure we were satisfied with the hike and that we got everything we were looking for. We certainly did! On the way back, we stopped for delicious water ice and Mexican food at a local Taqueria. I highly recommend this excursion to anyone who is looking to explore the outdoors.

Carlos was a bundle of energy willing to adjust our trip to whatever level of difficulty we wanted. He showed of waterfalls and hot springs and we ended up spending 12 hours with him. Taught us all about Baja Sur. He was the highlight of our trip to Cabo.

The hike was amazing and beautiful. Max was so accomidating to our pace and what we wanted to see. We really enjoyed getting to go to the top of the waterfalls and look back down the valley! So many options on the hike and Max let us make several choices on the hike. The food and margaritas on the way back to town were AMAZING!! Best tacos we have had in Cabo area.

Really special day with Carlos. He picked us up and drove us to a great hot spring in the mountains. After a half hour we started our upriver and mountain hike. We hiked for another couple hours to another hot spring where we rested in the spring and explored a little before hiking back. Carlos pointed out plants and other things to see that might be of interest. After a full day of exploring we stopped for a late lunch at a local restaurant. The food was great and really satisfying along with a margarita and beer. Thanks Carlos

This is a great trip, though it may not be for everyone. This was a long day trip for us coming from Cabo San Lucas, and included several miles of driving over dirt roads. But Carlos was a fantastic guide, he really knows his way around and was very knowledgeable about the area. Given the long ride from Cabo, we had to choose between going to a waterfall or a hot springs in a very out-of-the-way place.
We chose the hit springs, and it was an awesome experience! Carlos never rushed us at all and we stayed probably longer than we should have.
He then took us to a great restaurant that honestly had the most authentic and delicious Mexican food we have ever had.
Overall, a fantastic experience.

We had the most incredible experience. Carlos our guide was absolutely amazing. He was so knowledgeable on the area and made sure we had the very best tour safely leading us from one private spot to another and then lastly to the waterfall. It was a day we will never forget. I was even sick with a cough and Carlos made sure I was comfortable on the hike, even grabbing some tree branches with leaves that helped open up my lungs when breathing them in. It was such a special day for us. We truly couldn’t have asked for a better guide.

This was such an awesome tour, and Carlos was a fantastic guide. We were picked up from our resort and whisked away to the interior of Baja. We were so early that we were the only people at many of the places we visited. The waterfall was gorgeous, and getting to swim there was surreal. There are even little fish in the water that eat the dead skin off your feet, so we also got a natural pedicure! Truly an unforgettable experience. From there, Carlos gave us the option to visit a hot spring on another ranch, which was very cool. Our skin feels great after sitting there for a bit. Then, we were able to swim in another natural spring to a second smaller waterfall. The tour ended with lunch (not included in the price, but very worth it) at a wonderful family-run restaurant. The food was incredible!
One word of warning…once you get off the main highway to visit the waterfall, the rest of the trip until lunch is on back country/dirt roads that are very bumpy. If you get car sick, you may want to bring some Dramamine.

This was the best excursion I have ever done. We had Carlos as our tour guide and he was the best 100%. He is very knowledgeable about what he was doing and why we did those things. He was humble as well and wanted us to be safe. He helped my wife with getting down and up certain areas and made sure she was safe the whole time. He got to know us for who we are truly and I could say it was a start of a friendship. If my family ever comes here and does this, I will only recommend Carlos as the guide. He was just all around the best guide out of all the tours I’ve done. 10/10

Carlos is the best tour guide ever, make sure to ask for him. This is a beautiful hike through some rough terrain but very worth it. Be sure to wear some good shoes and be ready for a workout, but once you get to the waterfalls it is beautiful and relaxing. It is a moderate to difficult hike back so keep that in mind but so worth it.

Our guide Carlos made this trip a great and wonderful experience for our family and guest. He provided great information on our drive out of all the different landmarks and sites to see. Once at the waterfall, he provided excellent safety all the way down into the waterfall. At the waterfall he guided our grandson and his friend up the rocks to some great jumping points. This trip is at your pace. Carlos made it very flexible.

Max was a fantastic guide! He picked us up on time and was great with communication. He books private tours, so he allowed us to customize our waterfall hike experience and was so patient and safety conscious helping our teenagers jump from the rocks/cliff! The local ice cream stop was also delicious! Highly recommend Max and this excursion!!!.

Carlos was excellent. He advised we shop for snacks/gatorade once we got in the car and use the bathroom at the mega mall. We found snacks and fended off sales pitches from the market people. He gave us the chance to select between a couple of options for the day as he thought the waterfall was going to be crowded. We decided to still go on the waterfall hike because the other option was Hot Springs which I knew we were going to smell lightly of sulfur and my son strongly dislikes that. Carlos said it was going to be hot on the hike, but we had a breeze luckily. He took us down remote dirt roads to the waterfall hike, which was short, but definitely glad we had our hiking shoes. Again, Carlos gave us the option of a couple of different places along the river, which were less crowded, and we opted for one of those with a bit more hiking, which was awesome. We changed into water shoes and waded and floated in the cold ish water. Such an amazing place. After the return hike he took us to view an oasis and the Tropic of Cancer (with delicious ice cream)! We had the option to do lunch. But it would have been to close to dinner, by that time. The snacks we bought at the mega mart were tasty enough. So we returned to the hotel. Carlos was easy and really on top of everything.

We had a wonderful day with Carlos! He was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area and communicated very well about what we would do, where we would go, and everything in between.
The drive was long, but it was so worth it when we arrived. The hike was short and he took time to make sure we were safe and had enough information to make it down the rocky steps successfully. We had three kids with us, ages 7, 10, and 12, in addition to my husband and I. We had no issues with the length or difficulty of the trek down. Carlos brought ice cold waters and umbrellas which were much appreciated while in the hot sun! The waterfall was beautiful and the water refreshing. We spent about an hour here exploring, wading, watching others jump from the high rocks. Really fun!! On the way home, we stopped for ice cream which was located on the Tropic of Cancer! Then lunch at a Mexican family restaurant, which was delicious! Dragonfruit margaritas and lobster tacos were amazing! The drive home felt shorter, and we were all exhausted. Like others had said, this really is a full day tour. We were picked up at our house around 9a and returned around 430p. Highly recommend this tour!

Carlos was our guide, and did a great job of pointing out interesting sights along the way. He told us about the historical / cultural background of some things we experienced, he took and shared pictures and videos for us, and he ensured that we were safe during the hike. The waterfalls were beautiful, and swimming in the pool of water was refreshing.
