Itinerary

Choose from three departure times when booking. On your chosen date and time, be ready for pickup in your hotel lobby in San Jose del Cabo or Cabo San Lucas wearing clothes you don't mind getting a bit dirty.

In a tour vehicle, travel to the ATV depot and get kitted out with a full-face helmet, goggles, elbow guards, and a chest protector. Hop on the 2-passenger 450cc Honda ATV and take a loop or two around the test circuit to make sure you feel comfortable. The practice loop includes all the obstacles and challenges that you'd find during your tour.

Once you're confident, take off down the paths through five different areas of the desert, sprawling over 247 acres (100 hectares). The guide is with you the whole time, taking you on routes that are appropriate for your driving skills and preferences, always including desert and beach. Finish up your ride by crossing the Los Cabos Canyon Bridge.

Opt to purchase lunch at the Lion's Den Restaurant before returning to your hotel for drop-off at the end of your adventure.

This was so fun and we enjoyed everyone plus the guides. Suggest wearing long pants as it got hot next to the engine.

Fabian was an excellent guide! Unfortunately once you get there, you will have to pay another $120 in park fees, insurance, and having an automatic ATV

Awesome!!!

Alain our guide made it fantastic! Super fun and a beautiful view we couldn’t have had more fun. Try this if you even think you might like it.

Excellent ATV Excursion!

Marc_C, Aug 2024
Was picked up in San Jose del Cabo and the location is around 40 minutes south of San Jose del Cabo. This excursion is really nice as the location is on a property that offers snack shop, gift shop and bathrooms and an exceptional view of the canyon. Fabian and Ivan were our ATV guides and they did an excellent job getting everyone fitted with Helmet, goggles and instructions on how to operate the ATV. I do suggest using a scarf as it is very dusty when riding. The ride was about an hour and half and we took a break mid-way and ended up on the beach and you were able to take a plunge if you wanted. The last part is crossing the bridge at the canyon location and that was GREAT! We all crossed together and then a turn around and came back. It was very safe but we did have a couple of people that opted out and that was not an issue as we were back where we started and they just turned their ATV's in early. There are two things to keep in mind: First, while on the ATV excursion, they have a photographer that took really nice pics as you are not allowed to. GO PRO's are an option if you bring your own. Second, you have around 45 minutes to an hour to wait for your ride back but there is a outdoor restaurant that serves drinks and food and the 2nd level is where the tequila tasting is located; which is included in the excursion. The is a $35 Insurance Fee and $25 park fee that you can pay via cash are credit card upon arrival at the Wild Canyon Entrance. This property was very clean and the bathrooms were great and all the workers were very nice and professional. They take around 40 pics while you are on the ATV tour and they are available for purchase (of course) and the price can be negotiable within reason. Fabian and Ivan were great and highly suggest that team when taking the ATV excursion. I would do again as it was great scenery and ALOT of tight turns and straightaways!

Panda great guide

Lori_C, Jul 2024
It was fun and the guide Panda was great. Only negative is I drank the water they offered in the orange container (said it was clean etc) and feel very sick today. I do not advise drinking that.

Amazing!!

This was a 10/10 experience! I Highly recommend this trip to everyone!!! Richie out your guide was great!!

Best birthday experience ever!

Cedes_L, Apr 2024
I went for my birthday trip with my partner and was very fun and exciting ! Photos look fabulous and had Panda as my instructor of the day and he was pretty cool and informative and double checked if we were comfortable still to do the bridge and took his time with us for details needed.

The most memorable part...

Caylee_K, Nov 2023
The most memorable part is where they took us to the Cortez beach and let us play around the water. I also loved the bridge!!

Be ware of extra expense

Tinyv09, Sep 2023
The park charged 20 bucks as stated on the tour package but it’s very slick of them how do we pay for atv with no enternece fee? Where would we ride the atvs if we can’t get in? Also for atv ins they charged us 35 bucks for 95 percent coverage you yourself is changed of the 5 percent also very slick that they sell an ins coverage that’s not 100 percent these extra expenses were bogus but our tour guides we’re excellent

The best time!

Joycelin_S, Aug 2023
The best ATV tour I’ve ever been on!! Everything was so beautiful and properly organized! I recommend this tour to all of my family and friends!

Fun activity

Jesline_C, Jul 2023
Tour guides were extremely helpful. Made the experience a lot of fun. They have automatic tabs if you don’t know how to drive the semi automatic, you stop at the beach

Update your description and fees!

Denzel_C, Jun 2023
I gave it 4 stars because of the fact they don’t tell you if you can’t drive semi-automatic “stick shift” You have to pay an extra $50 to ride automatic “regular”. The first guy we had at check in was rude he wasn’t trying to answer any questions just basically saying pay me so you can go. Overall if choosing to stay with semi-automatic it’s really simple because the tour guide Felix he’s great by the way will show you how to change gears which is really easy when he shows you. We had a great time but you’re not riding for 3 hours it took over an hour just to get people helmets and on the ATVS and we rode for only 1 hour and half. There’s cheaper ATVS out there like Real Baja Tours cheaper and better. Going down the bridge was scary but it was fun. Felix the best tour guide ask for him when you go!

Book this excursion

Cheyenne_D, May 2023
Really fun excursion !! The tour guide was fun and really informative. Made sure everyone had a great time

Never again with this park

Dellanira_B, May 2023
We was charged another 50 dollars which was never mentioned at booking. That’s a side from the insurance and entrance which we knew about. At least Ivan the tour guy was amazing.

It was good

Brittany_W, Apr 2023
Recommendation: It is misleading to say that this event is 4 hours approximately and not disclose that this includes traveling time. We were under the assumption this was a actually 4 hour tour. It’s actually about 1.45 at best . However it was cool!

Super fun

Deja_M, Apr 2023
Tour was great, ATV trail was great great mountain scenery , photos Oop was beautiful !! Our guide Mickey was super cool and interactive !!

Fantastic, ATV tour, watch out for hidden fees

Jon_W, Mar 2023
I took my family to do the ATV tours. Ivan and Adrian did a fantastic job on the tour. The ATV experience with everything I expected to be and more. They have a really good set up. A lot of adventure things to do in one spot. My main issue with the tour was the $20 per person park entry fee and $35 per vehicle insurance fee that I was not expecting when I showed up. I booked the entire trip on TripAdvisor, showed up and had to pay over $200 when I arrived in order to go on the ATVs I had purchased a week before. I may, or may not have booked the trip knowing all the hidden fees, but I would’ve liked to have known all of this upfront.

Best ATV tour in Los Cabos

Bryan_F, Mar 2023
The Wild Canyon ATV tour is by far my favorite activity I have done during my stay in Los Cabos. It is an amazing course from the desert to the beach and our guide Andres made it even better. Just a heads up if you're familiar with driving an ATV the course takes about an hour and a half.

HIDDEN COSTS - Total Cost doubles after you reach there

Harish_L, Feb 2023
Expect the total cost to double when you reach the location. They will charge you for insurance per vehicle ($35), park entry per person ($20) and then they will charge you to $50 to provide an automatic ATV (the price that Viator charges is for stick shift which they don't tell you). Also, nobody under 18 can ride the ATV. Viator doesn't tell you that. Bring mask since it is very very dusty.

Great experience! My 18...

Heriberto_V, Aug 2022
Great experience! My 18 and 20 year olds truly enjoyed the ATVs . The tour guides were great. I recommend this tour

not a pretty sightseeing tour, not even canyon views, all dessert not pretty looking, no pretty hills no pretty sea view

Ivan_P, Mar 2022
sea view and crossing the bridge.sorry but we did not like the road we tour, nothing yo see, some parts looks like construction sites, if you looking for an ATV tour euth beautiful views this is not the one. the property wgere you meet up it’s beautiful and have other activities but the motorcycle ride was not pretty at all. i have done it in the past and it was breathtaking views with exciting hills, with another company, im sorry i didn’t look for it thinking this was gonna be similar. if u want other activities with this canyon like zipline ect, yes but ATV not pretty!!! san jose del cabo has amazing views , we missed it all in this tour, waste of money and time for me.

Great tour

Stephanie_A, Jan 2022
Amazing tour, alberto our tour guide was amazing. He made this experience 10x better. Very attentive, with great humor. Our pictures came out amazing the photographer did a great job. If your thinking of doing this tour, do it.

Fun but overpriced

Corshuna_B, Aug 2021
It was fun but for the price it should be longer, or more sight seeing activities in between! The price is already high & on top of that a lot of hidden fees when you get there ! They also don’t tell you that the ATV are not manual so they push for you to upgrade even more ! Just super over price for a hour of dirt riding !

Don't go!! It's a slow slow slow ride

Brett_F, Feb 2021
Horrible, slow ride, as the guide allowed five young girls on the trip, despite the obvious fact they couldn't understand how to drive the ATV, they did not pay attention to the instructions. Worst, the girls stopped several times along the ride to take pictures! I thought cameras were not allowed??

Do it!

Tiffany_R, Sep 2020
So Much Fun! My first time ever driving one and I had a blast. Alex was a great instructor. We had time to practice before getting on the open road/trail and it was a lot of fun.

Response from Host, Oct 2020

Best place for adventures!!

Jennifer_S, Jul 2020
Very upbeat, kind and knowledgeable staff. Long ride in dry creek beds and out to the bluffs overlooking the ocean. Ride ended with crossing their suspension bridge twice. So much fun. This place has everything ATV, UTV, ziplines, bungee jumping, zoo, water park and a restaurant with cold beer and killer nachos!!

Be aware that the tour pricing does...

Bari_G, Apr 2017
Be aware that the tour pricing does NOT include park entrance fee of 15 per person. I thought it must be some sort of national park to charge a fee, but actually think park as in theme park--privately owned business. The ATV excursion and other excursions are available for purchase once you enter the park. Also, the tour fee does NOT include mandatory 25 fee for insurance on the ATV. As for the actual ride, it was hard and fast on sandy desert soil. It does take a lot of arm and hand strength to manage the ATV and keep up with all of the other vehicles.

Having taken other ATV/4-wheeler...

Jeffrey_O, Mar 2017
Having taken other ATV/4-wheeler adventures in other locations, I booked this tour for my boys 19 and 16 and their friends 19 and 15 thinking it would be a fun afternoon adventure for them all. Instead all I heard was complaints. Instead of more than 2 hours of riding time they had less than an hour and a half and it was all done with everyone in a line at such a slow pace that the boys were all bored. In addition, the tandom ride that the 15 and 16 year old had to do because they were too young to have their own vehicle in spite of the fact that one had a drivers license and the other was close to it turned out to be a ride behind the other driver rather than next to the driver, so they had to hold on and couldn't see. It sounds like a lot of time was spent at the wildlife portion of the tour and that the animals on hand were more of a gimmick than an attraction. Pick a different tour if you want to have a fun ATV adventure in Los Cabos.
