What To Expect
Make your way to a central location in Cabo San Lucas, where you meet a guide for a visit to the local spice market and tortillería, and pick up some fresh corn dough for making tortillas by hand.
Continue to the chef’s home, then prepare a full lunch with a main dish, salsas, sides, and tortillas that you’ll eat hot from the grill. Learn about the culture and context of what you’re cooking, and get tips for reproducing the recipe in your home kitchen. When the meal is prepared, sit down to enjoy what you've cooked.

This was a fantastic experience and I would highly recommend it. Issi was a great host; very informative and made sure that everyone was engaged. He was also a great musician playing Santana percussion!! :-) The music was very well done, so that it did not interfere with the food presentations. Margheritas were great, and I now know how to create my own. Everything was very clean and sanitary. It was nice that we got to be involed in buying the groceries. The staff were very nice and full of smiles. This was one of my best experiences in Cabo. (We actually were tabled with a couple who were there for their 14th time.) I would highly recommend this class and give it a 5 star rating!!

Really fun, the guide was so funny, saw a couple local stores and bought our food there, the margaritas were great, the food was delicious. Cannot go wrong. Also learned how to properly cut a bell pepper for the rest of my life.

What a great experience. We went shopping for all the fresh ingredients and I mean fresh. We watched the corneal being ground. Then we all pitched in to prepare the food and got so many great tips! We went to the chef’s home. It was so much fun and so delicious! I would do another tour with them for sure!

I thought it was just alright. It was interesting going to the different markets and picking up supplies, however there was a lot of down time where you spend just sitting. I had previously done another cooking class in Cabo and it was very structured and we did 4-5 different recipes and you had your own individual serving you were preparing. This class had much less structure and you split what you prepared with several others so you sometimes just sat around. In addition we really only learned how to make a margarita and one recipe. The rest of the meal we just watched them prepare. In the end I felt like it was not much of a cooking class as I only did portions of a couple recipes and I wouldn’t recommend it as a cooking class if that’s what you are looking for, but the food was tasty and drinks were bottomless if that’s what you are interested in.

Let’s just say it’s the third time and each time has been PERFECT! EASY (sp) is warm, inviting, excellent, and oh yeah, a great chef teaching and helping every one of us in every group lea4n and enjoy. The bottomless margaritas don’t hurt either. No way will you, yes you, pick a better activity.

This was a really fun activity for our family of 4. We had our two young kids (age 8 and 12) with us and we all ended up having so much fun (to our tweenager’s surprise). 😄 The chef and guide was great at making this a very fun learning experience and we really appreciated how inclusive he was of our kids . He even gave them jobs and made sure they really got a hands-on experience! We never knew how many different ingredients and flavors went into to a mole sauce!

This was such an amazing tour! We went shopping for fresh tortillas, fish and produce then back to the kitchen to cook. They made it all fun with live music, dancing and instruments! We made fresh margaritas (all we could drink) and the meal was wonderful! Relaxed environment. Highlight of our trip!

The best experience we had in Cabo! Karina and Carolina were excellent hosts. The expereince was a full entertainment expereince including shopping, cooking, margaritas, music, and dancing. Would absolutely go again if we head back to Cabo.

Great for fun learning and meeting new friends.
We booked this experience with my 91 year old father. Chef Cecci was a great teacher and took us shopping at the markets, taught us how to create many dishes and the group shared our meal together over great conversations. What a blast. Best experience of the trip! Thank you Chef!

Karolina and Karina are everything you read about and so much more in person! Some history, some local experience as you shop the markets, meeting your fellow travelers, and more! Sous cheffing has never been so much fun as you take turns prepping the food and learning how to make these fresh and delicious dishes. Maybe the fresh margaritas are the secret sauce?!?? This cooking class is a must if you enjoy Mexican food! It starts at the local market where we purchased dried peppers, spices and nuts, then on to the fruit and vegetable market where we selected fresh vegetables and fruits and learned where they came from in Mexico. Our chef, Carolina was absolutely amazing. She taught us how to make: guacamole, pico green salsa and of course a fantastic margarita . Then we moved to our main course, Chicken Mole, corn tortilla, rice and sautéed vegetables. The meal was the best I’ve had during our stay. Oh and this was my second time with Cookin Cabo! I would gladly do a 3rd time. Carolina was fun, informative and delightful!

So much fun! It was a great experience for my 3 adult children and my spouse and I to do together. Not only was the cooking class fun but the instructor educated so much on Mexican traditions, and sources of food. The whole event was so well done with some local shopping for ingredients. We met some really great people and had lots of laughs. The live music was such a treat.
