Javier was a great guide. Very personable and really good English. He took us to places we never would have found on our own. Good variety of food. Each place was a very different experience. Glad we did this the first day of the trip so we can return to one of the places later. Even had some leftovers for a late night snack.

Our guide Javier was so great! He made sure to ask about allergies and food preferences right away and kept that in mind the whole time. Nobody felt left out.
He also took us to places outside the Marina, which we loved. It felt way more like exploring the real city than doing a typical tourist food tour. We really enjoyed this tour and highly recommend it to others.

2nd time on this tour, both did not disappoint. First time was with Robin, the second time with Javier. Great local bites, nice neighborhood atmosphere and friendly guide. We were able to experience a little of everything. We brought our daughters this time and they loved it!

Javier was a likable young man and spoke good English. The food at each stop was excellent and Javier provided good descriptions. Be aware that there was much walking between restaurants so wear good shoes. We had only 4 people in our group so it felt like a very personal experience.

I have become an avid Viator user and on this cruise stopover in Cabo San Lucas, we decided to try out this food tour.
Javier met us at the nearby Starbucks and we proceeded, just the three of us, a number blocks away, with Javier pointing out various interest and city points along the way. We tried numerous restaurants with local cuisine, most of which are one of local/Mom-and-Pop restaurants.
We enjoyed tacos, tostadas, vegetarian, seafood, and beef options; pineapple margaritas and Mezcal tasting, and ended the tour with a badly needed gelato on his hot day. They’re a small-size group can be up to 18 people, but we lucked out being the only two on the tour and which worked out amazingly! We recommend this simple three hour walking tour.

Javier was a great tour guide and took a group of 4 around the downtown area of Cabo San Lucas on our port stop from our Royal Caribbean Quantum of the Seas cruise. A bit of walking on uneven surfaces, however the 5 places we stopped to eat were delicious! We became very full quickly. Javier is super nice and we appreciated his knowledge guiding us through the culinary experience! We most definitely recommend to others.

Great walking tour of some of Cabo San Lucas authentic taco restaurants. Javier was very knowledgeable and helpful. Robin, the tour company owner was outstanding as we missed our scheduled appointment due to local protests blocking the main road into town, and she rebooked us the next day.

Great to get a bit off yhe main area/tourist ville to see where locals eat. We walked, nit far but be prepared to get your steps. Plenty to eat. Mole was our highlight. Authentic but cant say anything was "gournet".

Our Haiviar & right hand man guided us through the other side of town. Experiencing local lunch spots. True authentic Mexican food Experience. Fish cerviche, mole' chicken, el pastor taco, beef birria, dessert churros are a sample of what we ate. Be sure to arrive Hungry! All regular portions. Each stop was so delicious we kept eating even when we thought that we could not eat another bite. So good. If you're looking for a non-tourist dining experience , meet Haivier & enjoy your day.
We will definitely recommend this to our friends and will stop back to these lunch spots in the future. This tour is good for you and great for Cabo.

This was a great food tour experience! Javier and Silvano were fantastic guides, very knowledgeable and personable. The tour included a great balance of different foods from local restaurants as well as recommendations for other restaurants and local places to check out around the area. It was a good mix of walking and sitting. Definitely a great way to see more of the city and try different places we may not have tried on our own. We had an amazing time and would definitely do it again!

The AvoCabo food tour was a 10/10 experience. Our tour guides, Javier and Silvano were so nice and accommodating. One of the people in our party ate the vegetarian options which were just as amazing as the meat options. This tour allows you to step away from the super touristy areas and fully immerse yourself in the delicious Mexican cuisine. The hospitality at all of the restaurants is just top tier. I would definitely book this tour again.

Our tour guide Javier and Zilver were great We felt safe food was great eat light at the first few places as by the last stops you are stuffed. I highly recommend lots of walking so if you don’t like to walk or can’t walk far this tour is not for you!

We had a great and delicious time on our tour. We were able to visit restaurants we probably would have missed without the tour. It was a good variety of tacos from ceviche, mole and birria. Javier and Silvano made sure we were well taken care of and had nice insights as to the history of some of the food. Robin was also very attentive to emails and questions about our reservation. We left full and happy!
