Come Hungry, Bring water, wear comfortable walking shoes, be comfortable walking on uneven ground. Guide was knowledgeable about local eateries and traditions. It was a great tour.

Best food tour ever. Robin is a wonderful guide. You learn so much from her. She shares not only all about the food you eat but about the customs, history and people. One warning: don’t eat hours before you come. You will leave Very full!!!

This is a great tour to get off the tourist route and try real local food! All of the dishes were delicious, and Javier is a wonderful, knowledgeable guide. Highly recommend!

Our Haiviar & right hand man guided us through the other side of town. Experiencing local lunch spots. True authentic Mexican food Experience. Fish cerviche, mole' chicken, el pastor taco, beef birria, dessert churros are a sample of what we ate. Be sure to arrive Hungry! All regular portions. Each stop was so delicious we kept eating even when we thought that we could not eat another bite. So good. If you're looking for a non-tourist dining experience , meet Haivier & enjoy your day.
We will definitely recommend this to our friends and will stop back to these lunch spots in the future. This tour is good for you and great for Cabo.

This was a great food tour experience! Javier and Silvano were fantastic guides, very knowledgeable and personable. The tour included a great balance of different foods from local restaurants as well as recommendations for other restaurants and local places to check out around the area. It was a good mix of walking and sitting. Definitely a great way to see more of the city and try different places we may not have tried on our own. We had an amazing time and would definitely do it again!

The AvoCabo food tour was a 10/10 experience. Our tour guides, Javier and Silvano were so nice and accommodating. One of the people in our party ate the vegetarian options which were just as amazing as the meat options. This tour allows you to step away from the super touristy areas and fully immerse yourself in the delicious Mexican cuisine. The hospitality at all of the restaurants is just top tier. I would definitely book this tour again.

This tour focuses on locally owned restaurants. All the food was great and our guides even suggested other restaurants to visit during our time in Cabo. I'd recommend it to anyone!

Our tour guide Javier and Zilver were great We felt safe food was great eat light at the first few places as by the last stops you are stuffed. I highly recommend lots of walking so if you don’t like to walk or can’t walk far this tour is not for you!

Amazing experience! All the food was delicious, and our guides were knowledgeable and attentive. One followed behind us to make sure no one got lost. They gave us some very good recommendations of places to shop, and even introduced us to some excellent tequila. Wonderful time, would love to do it again.

We had a great and delicious time on our tour. We were able to visit restaurants we probably would have missed without the tour. It was a good variety of tacos from ceviche, mole and birria. Javier and Silvano made sure we were well taken care of and had nice insights as to the history of some of the food. Robin was also very attentive to emails and questions about our reservation. We left full and happy!

Another fantastic evening of food, laughter, and local flavor with the AvoCabo Food Tour crew! We make this our first stop when we arrive in Cabo—it’s the perfect way to get reacquainted with the area and discover a few new hidden gems.
Most of the restaurants featured are tucked away from the usual tourist trails, but once you've done the tour, they're easy to revisit on your own. That’s part of the magic—feeling like a local in just one night.
Javier was an outstanding host: warm, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about the food and stories he shared. Sylvano, with his ever-present smile, kept the group together and made sure our cold drinks were never far behind. Their teamwork made the evening feel effortless and fun.

I only had one night in Cabo and I'm so glad I found this tour. It was great to walk around the city, try all different types of delicious local specialties, and get a sense of all the places I want to go back to visit when I have more time. Javier was my guide and he was excellent. I'm sure it's enjoyable in a group, but I'm extra grateful that it was such a nice experience for a solo traveler too. Tour began with ceviche which was pretty tasty in an average eatery. From there we walked to a not so desirable location but my chicken mole was good though my husband’s was quite grizzly. This was our only tequila sampling where we had one shot. The oranges accompanying the shot were delicious. On we went to a franchised taco place, and received one taco. We could choose from pork, beef, chicken, shrimp or vegetarian. I had the pork and it was delicious. I sampled a piece of shrimp and that too was yummy. Our last two stops were food cart street vendors. The fourth stop included a choice of Mexican street corn—which was sold out so that was a bummer, or a tamale from an Igloo cooler. Everyone chose to skip eating at this stop. Our last stop was a churro cart, also sold out, but we were able to wait for these to be made. I had a plain churro and my husband had a caramel churro. These were very fresh and tasty. We had two tour guides who were friendly. I wanted to score this tour higher but it just wasn’t as good as food tours we’ve done elsewhere. Overall it was more disappointing than not.

Awesome experience, highly recommend!!! It was my 2nd time doing the tour with a different friend, and she loved as much as me!! The food is amazing, good portion sizes as a taste, and the history that Javier provided and just learning about the area and himself made the experience a great one!! Will be back again when new friends come to experience Cabo!

This was so good we did it twice! The second time around we were able to try different food at each restaurant. The food is absolutely delicious and the guides are amazing and make the tour fun and informative.
