There are journeys that expand the mind, touch the soul, and leave you richer for the experience. Unfortunately, this was not one of them. Led by our tour guide, this Jeep "safari" in Varna felt disorganized and poorly planned. The jeeps themselves were relics of the '90s, lacking seat belts and providing ample exhaust fumes. While this added an element of adventure for children, it made some parents uneasy. We were surprised to find that the actual vehicles did not match the pictures advertised. Additionally, we had to wait over an hour to start our tour due to mechanical issues with another old Land Rover. Our group consisted of six vehicles, with one guide and no commentary, leaving us with little understanding of our surroundings. The guide mentioned that we would see some animals along the way, but unfortunately, none were spotted. The promised “wine tasting” featured two sweet wines served in small plastic cups, which felt more appropriate for a children's gathering than a wine experience. There were no tasting notes or backstory provided about the wines. Even the location where the wine was produced appeared unkempt, and the bathrooms were not up to standard. For lunch, we were taken to a campsite where they store their other vehicles to experience a traditional meal. This consisted of basic chicken, salad, and dry bread, but the presence of flies detracted from the experience. At $109.27 per person, we expected a more enriching safari experience. Instead, we were left questioning if this was a worthwhile use of our time and money in Varna. If you seek travel experiences that inspire and delight, this tour may not be for you.

Regarding the jeeps, it's true that one vehicle experienced a minor issue, but it was resolved very quickly, minimizing any disruption to your tour. The jeeps are indeed Land Rovers, specifically chosen for their unique character and authenticity for a true jeep safari adventure. These vehicles, while perhaps not brand new, offer a distinct and rugged experience that sets our safari apart, providing a more genuine adventure than modern, sanitized alternatives. We understand your concern about seatbelts; however, you should have asked for help to the staff on the spot. We apologize if the number of vehicles in your group felt large, but your guide was actively engaged, providing important information and commentary as you rode through the forests and fields. The essence of this adventure lies in experiencing the wild, and while spotting animals is never guaranteed, the journey itself through nature is a significant part of the experience. We've had many guests find the jeep safari to be an exciting and enjoyable adventure, and it seemed you also found elements of it thrilling. The wine tasting is designed to be a unique and authentic experience. We partner with a small, private rural winery that is not typically open to the public for tastings. This provides a rare opportunity to sample wines in a very authentic and boutique setting, unlike anywhere else. We regret that the "tasting notes" weren't presented in a way that resonated with you, but the focus is on the direct experience of tasting wines from a truly local producer. We also want to assure you that we prioritize cleanliness and comfort at all stops. Lunch at the campsite offers a traditional meal in a rustic indoor & outdoor setting, which many guests find adds to the adventurous spirit of the day. We are sorry to hear that the presence of flies detracted from your enjoyment, as this can sometimes be a challenge in outdoor environments thus part of the adventure itself. We believe that our jeep safari offers an immersive and adventurous experience that allows you to connect with the natural beauty and local culture in a way that is truly unique. My trip was cancelled the day before by the operator. They told me I would receive a refund, and after 4 weeks of waiting, I had still not received it! I eventually made contact with Viator and it was sorted within 2 days.

It was more of a shooting tour. The tour guides gave a bad singing and dancing performance. The entire tour was only 20 km in total. You didn't know anything about the land and people.
