Great day
Great tour with very informative guide of the wonderful Rila Monastery. Tour was reasonably priced. The only criticism was that the tour was titled Boyana church and monastery and we didn’t get to the church.

Outstanding trip with knowledgeable guide
The tour to the Rila Monastery was like a fairy tale! Thanks to the beautiful winter landscape and our guide, who created a fun atmosphere and told us detailed facts about the places we passed by. The Boyana Church is a unique historical heritage site because it is a pre-Renaissance masterpiece!

The trip was OK.
The tour was ok. The weather was cold. But the guide Pavel was good. He explained things well in both English and Spanish. The Rila Monastery has nice paintings. It could be a fun trip out side of Sofia in summer.

Nice day out to see Boyana Church and Rila Monastery
We really enjoyed our day trip to visit Boyana Church and Rila Monastery. Boyana Church is really small, but it is interesting to see the layers of painting inside the church. Plus, the setting is very pretty. Rila Monastery is a can't miss site in Bulgaria. The setting is stunning as is the painted church. Both the interior and exterior are covered in paintings. We also stopped for a very nice lunch- overall it was the perfect way to spend a day.

Vladi made it possible!
We were a party of 7 and it was a last minute booking. We could not get entrance tickets to Boyana Church but Vladi made it happen! Very resourceful and creative in how he made it happen. Rila Monastery was also a sight to behold. Excellent day handled beautifully!

Two UNESCO World Heritage Sites, one day!
Wow! Two UNESCO World Heritage Sites in one day! So much history and color! Had a great guide, knowledgeable not only Bulgarian history, but also the Balkan countries! Highly recommend this tour when in Sofia.

Great value and great fun
There is quite a lot of driving to each venue. The scenery as we came home was magnificent (unfortunately, horrendous weather in the morning so our window was steamed up). The monastery was great - and enough time to enjoy fresh donuts as well as interesting architecture. We loved the thermal bath - it was just what we needed after travelling to Bulgaria the day before.
