Dan and Patricia are a phenomenal tour guide team! Dan shares his extensive knowledge of Romanian history while Patricia curates an amazing dining experience. Dan and Patricia treated us to hidden places the locals go that we would have never discovered on our own. They are also world travelers who gave us great tips on other countries we plan on visiting. This tour was absolutely wonderful. We had delicious and authentic Romanian food from places only locals would know about, and the hosts took us through historical sites in Bucharest, some food-oriented and some not, and told us about their personal experiences with events in the country's recent history. Highly recommend!!

We enjoyed this experience as our introduction to Bucharest. Dan & Patricia shared their life experience with us as we discovered the historical development of this impressive city. The show casing of traditional dishes gave a tasty focus for the tour. Dan highlighted the mosaic of architectural heritage of Bucharest.

The best tour we had so far: the hosts made us feel like family, we explored some of the local foods but since we were already stuffed, but wanted to go and see other specific places, they were more than accommodating and really nice people, they even gave us gifts: candy from Capsa, pastries, etc. I can’t wait to spend time with them again

I had a fantastic evening on this tour - Dan was armed and prepared with lots of information, pictures and stories about the history and life in Bucharest during and after Communism, and taking a look inside some of the buildings, it builds a beautiful picture.
As for the food, there were lots of tasty treats! I don't want to spoil it, because even though I hadn't eaten since early morning, I was stuffed and struggling to eat any more by the end! It is an evening out with a new friend you haven't met, but knows the best places to eat!

Don’t look at this as just a food tour. It is a comprehensive food and historical and cultural tour. We saw so many historical buildings and learned about the history of modern Romania on this food tour. The guide and his wife made a great team to make sure that our time together went smoothly. I would strongly recommend this to anyone looking for more information About Bucharest while enjoying their local cuisine.

We had a fantastic evening. It was a great combination of learning about Romania’s history and its delicious food. Most importantly our hosts were warm and friendly and we thoroughly enjoyed chatting over dinner.
The only hiccup was the Meeting Point map took me to the End point but this was resolved via Whatapp communication.

Dan was the best tour guide! He surprised me with a quick walkthrough of the Roman athenaen and also brought me a small flower pin for Marti day that was the day I was traveling back home. Friendly Guide Dan shared interesting information relating to the history of Bucharest and its buildings. A walking tour with two stops for food. The first stop was at a glass dome on the main street where we were offered a traditional snack : a donut type pancake with savoury and sweet fillings. We were on our own in the dome and moved a few chairs to sit around the table. Dan served us from the adjoining shop. We then walked to a bar house, which was busy and had a bustling atmosphere. We would have loved a drink there however we just looked around before walking to the old town to an eaterie used by locals. Dan ordered for us and we were served 3 local sausage and chips. Our friend who doesn't eat meat was offered chicken livers or chicken soup.
The food was ok, it was a very cold night and after the pancakes we were unable to eat it all. Dessert was another donut with cream and plum type compote.
Our view is the tour was good, interesting and informative, however expensive, considering the food offered us.

The tour throughout Old Town was fantastic. The food choices were totally authentic Romanian. Our last food experience was awesome. THE DISHES were extremely tasty. And the dessert was really great. Our guide Ron was so full of knowledge that I was blown away by the depth of history in the past 35 years.
This is one tour that you don't want to miss.
